I was always told to do bi lateral breathing and I hated it. Didn’t think breathing the same side every two strokes was even an option. Game changer. Wouldn’t have thought it was okay without this channel!
My kick for some reason doesn’t feel right, still working on it I have the Powerfin Pro 2 to try to correct it. I am a new swimmer and have a goal of being able to freestyle 500 meters in 12:30, how realistic is this?
I thought my freestyle was ok, then some waterpolo guys and swimmers get in the pool and destroyed my thoughts about myself. THEY ARE LITERALLY FLYING I WANT THAAAT.
Man... I had my very first waterpolo training last wednesday at 34 years old.. I can't swim comparing to those guys 😂 I actually like being a beginner at something again, it's so funny to me 😂
Regarding rotation. What ever side you breath to & assuming you only breath on one side, not both, are you supposed to rotate left & right or just rotate on the side you breath?
Cool channel! 👍 But why you don t make the vid with cautions to the begginers, as a lot of things may harm the begginers, such as: (for very beghiners with no flexibility) -high elbow recovery = shoulder pain -early vertical forearm = shoulder pain -active legs kicking = knee and foot pain -core rotation = spine pain -one eye in water while breathing = water in mouth, as at low beginner speeds the is no wave etc.
I learned backstroke in about 30 minutes with zero prior swimming experience but im still struggling to learn freestyle after over a month because of my poor breathing technique 😮💨

Glad we can help!
Just breathe on the other side for the next lap.
Same
it makes you slower.
This is great! Please do one for butterfly too.
Absolutely excellent - thank you!!
Very useful and informative sum up video on freestyle, thanks myswimpro team! Would you please add one for each competitive stroke?
Great suggestion! Keep an eye out 😉
Informative Thank you😊

Excellent summary containing all the key points, with a nice little history intro to boot.

Great video. You mentioned tips to swim faster, but I'm not interested in racing or speed. I want to just swim slow and steady. Any tips for that?
The same tips apply. These will improve your technique so you are more efficient. Even if you go slow, you will go further with each stroke.

Don’t know when we start to use the swimming goggles. No information available online.
You should always wear goggles when you swim for comfort and safety!
@@myswimpro Thanks. I mean the history. When did we start to swim with goggles in history?
