"Someone watching this may say what a little Bitch...and that's fine, a bad day for the ego is a good day for the soul."
Today's conversation is a little different and by different we mean even better. So often we sit with our guests who open up, share their experiences for us all to take something away from it...but today, we shed our armor and allow our vulnerable sides to come through as we listen, learn and create a space for others like ourselves to be vulnerable too. Many times as men, especially athletes, we are instilled with a mentality that toughness means never showing emotion, fear or weakness. And while that can be true when playing a sport, working towards a milestone or competing for championships, it's not always the best approach with our personal and everyday lives.
To help guide this discussion, Ryan, Channing and Fred sit down with 2x New York Times bestselling author and top podcast host of The School of Greatness, Lewis Howes, also a former two-sport All-American athlete, as he shares the different seasons of his life, lessons learned along the way and how he pivoted from darker times to the top of podcast and book charts. But how did he get there? How did he convert his athlete mentality into motivation and transition fears into finding success in unlikely areas? What wisdom can he share with Pivot listeners and how can his words help us? Intrigued from the start....Ryan, Channing and Fred dive into a life changing conversation they never knew they needed to have.
With over 1700 episodes and impactful conversations with elite athletes, entertainers, entrepreneurs and health and wellness experts, Lewis has set the tone in this space creating awareness, implementing techniques and he shares shares how his time spent with Kobe Bryant was the most impactful experience which helped shape his purpose in podcasting. Everybody experiences trauma, but not everybody learns to respond to hard experiences with a growth mindset. From sexual abuse growing up to a brother in prison, parents divorcing and a father who was in a coma for months after a serious car accident, Lewis has gone on a mission to share his story, help others deal with their traumas while exploring fears, masculinity, relationships and understanding emotions. At the end of the day, it's ok not to be ok and be open on our feelings, thoughts and struggles.
Being honest, the four men acknowledge that conversations like these don't happen enough (filmed or not filmed) and towards the end of the episode, Lewis takes a moment to ask Ryan, Channing and Fred about themselves and the bond each has with one another while encouraging each other to share what they see as strengths and weaknesses in their everyday lives. The three guys have a tough conversation and hold each other accountable for things they see and share their hopes for one another while dealing with some tough emotions and real-life moments. Extremely powerful as each opens up and we are drawn in as if we are a part of the conversation. "It's a lot to unpack...this is deep." Ryan Clark

Every man, woman, and couple needs to watch this episode. So powerful. The last question asked by Lewis to RC, Chan, and Fred was such a great moment in any podcast I have ever listened to or seen. Thank you to The Pivot for bringing this to your viewers.
Lewis Howes also gained a new follower. 🙏🏽
halfway through and i'm realizing so much about myself. I appreciate Lewis Howes and The Pivot for all the conversations and the wisdom to help me be better as a human, salute!
46 min mark when he explains how to effectively communicate and uphold agreements … gems 💎
These are the episodes that will move the needle for those seeking help. Be great and continue to build the foundation for others to grow.
Wow, I've never heard of this guy before, but this episode was very therapeutic. Thanks gentlemen
When Lewis asked them the question towards the end, almost had me tearing up. It was beautiful!
Im ready for them to have alicia on the show would love to hear her story and because she is a huge part of the success
Yes, I was wondering if she would ever allow them. She seems like she doesn't want to be in the spotlight, though 🤔
Ryan's love for Kobe really shined as you watched him listen to Lewis recount his experience with KB...He teared up a bit 😢
I’m not even finished with this episode and it my favorite of all time already. This is my understanding, perspective, mindset, and purpose to share with others. My wife and I operate from this state. The Pivot is by far the best 💪🏾✊🏾❤️
All of my favorite podcast Gents in one room together, speaking facts, being positive and making magic happen. I walk away with a brand new sense of HOPE and Proud each time I watch The Pivot and The School of Greatest. Having both of them together was truly a GIFT! Much Love & Respect for all of you! Thanks for starting my weekend off right as always!
Wow! this episode really hit home for me and the last question is something that I've done with my sister's the last 10 years. In January, we have a sister's toast and speak life into each other, but more importantly we also tell each other an area of their life where they can improve, because of the loving way it's been presented, we have all been able to take what was said and Pivot to become our best selves. Thank you guys for another great interview.
#1 Podcast!!! This show keeps getting better & better. I loved Lewis Howe’s journey & how he has learned that it is ok to speak up & share his feelings. Also loved Ryan, Channing & Fred’s take on each other & seeing their honest reactions! This show is 🔥!!!
Omg..this episode was 🔥🔥🔥🔥...and the conversation at the end was love....love for your friend!!! When you can talk , hear, and accept words that can better you as a person!!! The PIVOT!!!!!🏆🏆🏆
A lot of truth and keys to growth and development shared, Thank you. I was waiting for Lewis to say a famous football players name as he listed historic sports talent from ohio. But the story telling about interviewing Kobe, 💫
As a 25 year old man, I just learned so much. There’s so much more space to grow and pivot. I cannot thank enough the pivot crew and Lewis for this incredibly inspiring valuable lessons this episode provided me and so many others. Wow, I have a lot of more to offer, lot more to learn. New favorite episode of the pivot.

Wow..What a great episode. You guys did it once again and that one is my favorite..I will definitely follow Lewis Howes podcast. Him and the Pivot is a match from heaven ❤
55-minute mark: I had zero idea who Jay Shetty was until he interviewed Michael B. Jordan, and then I ended up reading through his book and watching a bunch of his interviews. Definitely wish he would come to the Pivot, in the middle of your "tour." MBJ too! 🎉

For whatever reason… wasn’t even going to tune in to this one. Got me changing my screensaver now 😅
Dont forget to subscribe people.. These men should have way more subscribers 😊
Such a good one❤
Great show. Deep but very honest and necessary ❤❤
“The right women” LOL
I couldn't agree with him more. The poll of women sharing insecurities vs men sharing is real. I believe higher suicide rates in men are directly connected to us holding on to things that we were never built to carry. We need to be able to let go and release the heaviness of what life brings. Sharing insecurities and focusing on healing is healthy for the spirit but also relationships.
My dude lewis howes is on here Big look

I agree with Channing about having too many people in your relationship. Hopefully, it works out, and you have a good balance of emotion and "theory."
