I own a standard M3 Touring. In my country the roads are nowhere as good as in Germany but it has more than enough compliance in Comfort mode with the standard dampers to do long trips in without any problems at all.

Alright I’ll say it, the grille isn’t ugly, it actually looks good. Only on the M cars though, it looks terrible on the regular cars

Good point about roads. The pavement in Germany is 24 inches thick and intended to last for decades. That’s not how we do it in the US.

Nothing else has quite the swagger like a performance wagon.

Alpina has a comfort mode for normal roads. Based on the 340 wagon. Better long distance ride. Lots of interior options as well.

So much want!! Hey, are we getting the M5 Touring here in the US soon? Swear I read that. Please make a “Save the Wagons” shirt!! M3T, RS6, M5T….doesn’t matter. “Save the Wagons” with at least one of them on it.

Check the Alpina B3 Touring. M3 power but m340i looks. And those wonderful Alpina dampers... that thing will take my American money if it was here in the states.

If you want more softer and smoother suspension you go for Bmw Alpina. If you wanna drive your wagon to the track you go for this one 😁

Hi, from Japan!! I want to answer your question. Yes, I do. I want to have the car. No, they don’t. My family doesn’t want to have it. It is always the problem when I think to buy a new car.

Interesting seeing this in comparison to Savage Geese's review of the new Panamera. I lean towards this styling but would like the suspension of the Panamera.

Can you get one with an exhaust that does more than drone like economy car from the 80s? Because if not I have no interest. The lack of a real transmission just seals the not for me deal. I can live with the look, the suspension is fine. But that drone yikes. I had to watch this in 3 separate sessions.

Am I the only one where, in every new car they review, I become interested, and then they show the view out the windshield and I see the dashboard is a big rectangular plank with two computer screens and I just 🫥 nope right out of any desire for the car? It keeps happening, I'm worried all new cars are going to be that way.

Great car, but those tires and rims, unfortunately, would not last long in the NYC metro area. Low profiles are a death sentence around here.

I couldn’t disagree more. The front is macho and zoomy and awesome. It’s the rear (the wagon part) that’s hideous. So glad these eyesores aren’t polluting our roads. The other new big grills such as the i4, 7 series, m440 LCI, are awful but the g8x are my favorite

Soooo, you drive across Germany on the Autobahn to spend the day at the Nurburgring and drive home. That’s the use case for this car.

  • @mattguerra82

No thanks for me, I'd rather stick with the regular M340i touring that already has great performance, it's much cheaper, M suspension works great and doesn't hurt my eyes (normal teeth). Great video though

BMW will never bring this to the US. Americans don't buy wagons no matter how much we insist. Yes, wagons are cool and practical and true car enthusiasts love them. I own a 95' Volvo 850 R wagon with almost 600K miles and i roadtrip it everywhere .Americans buy SUVs snd CUVs just look around. It is what it is.

M5 is coming because the RS6 sold well. They’re going to bring the M3 Touring in the next generation but it’ll be hybrid by then which is too bad.

Reading these comments…. If you are in the US, and you really want the functionality of the M3 Touring (now), go to your dealer and try the X3M Competition. I know….. It’s a SAV, and it’s not as exciting, but it doesn’t have beaver teeth and it’s pretty low for an SAV.
It can easily get better stanced with MSS springs and spacers or custom forged wheels with a more aggressive offset.
It’s got the same S58 engine, and can be easily tuned for outrageous power. It handles way better than you’d think it should be able. You can even get used a pre-LCI version without the hideous one piece dash screen for a bargain price.
I drive an F90 M5 Competition now, but I have owned a ‘20 F97 X3M Comp when they first came out and it was a great vehicle.
