Very informative video thank you! My Uncle, Tom Mulka worked at Cach for about 30 years and told me to get my CDL, he was gonna help me with getting a job at UPS but unfortunately passed away on the job about 2 1/2 years ago. He raised 2 wonderful kids, vacationed a lot, and had a good life with my Aunt Chris all from working at UPS! Filling out the application and hopefully will have the opportunity to work with UPS and follow in my Uncle's footsteps
Been at ups 4 years started as just away to pay off student loans and make some extra Christmas cash . Just finished intergrad last week. Start diving package car Tuesday. Don't give up! To anyone who's reading this and just started working ther
Just passed my classes last week I start Tuesday as package driver. I got a class A CDL so I'm trying to get in as a feeder or UPS Freight. Good Luck out there.

Great video I will use it as a recruiting tool. I am a feeder/Sleeper driver at World Port SDFAS I Louisville KY with only 6 years seniority. My co driver and me were hired on the same day. We have a slightly different operation but mostly the same as cach or CCHIL. I run a 5700 mile run to Portland, Cach and DC or BURMD and back to Louisville every week. I am extremely happy here. I came in with 34 years driving and will finish my time here. Everything in this video is fact.No BS. I go only to UPS hubs and 97% of the time pull through a yard location and drop. I seldom see the inside of a trailer except to check empty or verify load percentage and put on the seal. I am all in with UPS.
I've been at UPS for 9 months now. I've been on sleepers for 8 months and I like it. We have our own bid, we know where we go each week and when we'll be back. Great benefits, great pay and union.
@@ericnelson9100 So from what I've heard they are hiring guys straight out of school because of the driver shortage. Now I can't guarantee you'll work locally so most likely you'll be on sleepers. We just got a raise this Monday so if you come in you'll get 71 cents a mile oppose to 60 cents when I started.
@@def336tones I know all hubs are different, but what is the environment like? I had a really bad experience working as a package handler there several months ago, where I ended up quitting because of harassment from supervisors. They told me, just after I started, that I needed to be where the regulars were and were always threataning to fire me. Mind you I always showed up early, never on my phone or wasting time, had a good attitude, etc. It got so bad I had to go to the plant manager to get them off my back, but then just decided it wasn't worth it for a part time job (even though my goal was to be a package driver). My concern is, do you have a grace period when u start, do they take into account you being new to driving?
@@ericnelson9100 Well you have to get 60 punch ins in order to get into the union once you're in the union you get their backup. They are a bit strict on making sure you leave the hub at your gate time and you have to make your gate time. If you have delays then you have no choice but to get there late as long as you communicate everything with supervisors you'll be okay. Just communicate, try your best and cover your ass by writing stuff down.
Hi! My husband works at CACH and his pay still says 60 cents per mile. He’s on a sleeper team. He went to the office and he inquired about the 71 cents and he says the missing 11 cents per mile are added on in the section labeled “RETENTION” in his check. Is that true? Does it show up like that for you too?
is that the norm, Steve? Isn't it typical you have to be a package handler and then get enough seniority to get a driving test to see if they think you're worthy?
@@bc1969214 Depends on how many drivers they need. Im a package handler right now and they are trying to get me to drive but they will hire off the streets if they cant find package handlers that want the work
I have 24 yrs with the Teamsters, and I continue to work my full-time job which I mentioned now I just started with UPS as a part timer still on probation but not much longer once I am off I'll be collecting a double pension. Either till I retire or maybe even try to go full time at UPS. But for now I'll take the double pension. Go Union you won't regret it!!
I’ve been at UPS since October 23rd, 2018. I was a driver helper a year later. I then trained for package delivery back in the summer of 2020, but it not the right job for me, so I went back in the warehouse, where I’m still currently working. I was going to join the feeder team, but then I decided to go out studying automotive technology Lincoln tech so I can work on the UPS trucks.
Wether you drive for UPS or not I think we can all hope other trucking companies will see how many drivers they are loosing to UPS and will inspire them to step their game up pay, retirement and vacation wise. I drive for YRC Freight in Chicago heights Il, Local 705 and we have lost at least 20 drivers in The past year to UPS. It isn’t just us that are loosing drivers to them a lot of other LTL drivers that I talk to said a lot of their guys are leaving to go there too!
Yeah I applied for city driver with YRC here in Atlanta & they want to pay me $21.00 an hour to start and the recruiter was telling me not only will I do P&D but work the dock, yard hostler & working days & nights & weekends & the way she kept on reading, I thought she was gonna tell me I had to do custodial work too🤣 I told her to move her thumb out of they way because I didn't wanna mash it when I slammed the phone down to hang up🤣

I’m with Old Dominion in California and we usually never lose drivers…. Until a couple months ago. We lost 22 drivers to UPS in Ontario. Economy got tight this year and the company also started cutting hours along with over-hiring.
Ive worked for UPS for 25 years and just went into feeders in February 2021. My pay is much more than $30 an hour. After working part time for 10 years driving air runs and then full time package car for 15 years, going into feeders was the best decision ever! Much easier on the body than package car.
Seems like a good job but the deal breaker for me is having to be driving and sleeping with another guy in the sleeper truck 😕. I’d be more than happy to do that driving if I were solo.
I got my cdl through Amazon and have done about 205 OTR runs and more than 7000 in yard moves with a hostler I have a cdl driver interview here in Louisville. On Friday Oct 30th 2020.

I work for UPS for 12 years I was not a feeder driver but I was a package car driver started off as a part-time air driver my first two years and from there I was a full-time driver for the next 10 years. When I left in 2015 full rate was $36.37 an hour. And when I tell you that I would rather make $15 an hour and actually be happy I'm not lying. UPS is a soul sucking place to work. But then again so on all of those kind of companies FedEx post office they all suck. So if you want to give your soul to the devil and be miserable and be on drugs then go work for one of those companies but otherwise you can keep your money
@chillwill8872 I just finished my mentoring week today and am officially a UPS driver! I will be on call and will be on my own starting Monday! I have the weekend off. Everyone is so nice and helpful. As long as you do your best, show up on time and are safe...they will take care of you. I love it. I am staying here until I retire.
@chillwill8872 Thank You. They hired me as a sleeper driver but I am on the call board for the foreseeable future until I get an A driver to pick me up to be his partner which is doubtful given how many much more experienced guys are vying for a spot with them. So I will most likely be on call for the next 4-5 years until I can get a solo bid on my own. What about you? Are you with UPS?
My first “real job” was loading catchel trucks for ups. I was convinced to leave the union for a supervisory job and hated it. I ended up joining the coat guard and loved it but did have fun at UPS
Please be absolutely aware that if you get hired, you will be starting on a Monday at 7:00 am. for orientation. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR 34 HOUR RESET IN BY 7:00 am ON THE MONDAY YOU START. IF YOU DO NOT YOU WILL BE SENT HOME AND WILL BE MOVED TO THE FOLLOWING MONDAY. So to recap, you cannot work past 9PM on Saturday in order to have 34 hours off by Monday at 7AM. You will be sent home and rescheduled to the following week if you do not have a reset.
I'm getting my CDL on Friday and am starting at Schneider later in the month, plan on working there for one year. How much experience is needed to be a feeder driver?
As a linehaul driver for a FedEx Ground contractor, if I ever get the opportunity to go to UPS I'm jumping ship. Especially with the new contract they have now.
Sleeper operations at ups is not the same as other companies…leave Monday home by Friday early so 4 1/2 days working most of the time….bring home start roughly 1500 a week. Be safe ,work hard and get after it!!;) You may get laid off after February if you stay on brown but you will work if you stay team trucks. I worked for Yrc for 15 years, leaving to go work for ups is the best move I ever made! They are strict but if you work hard and are reliable you will love it!
I am 61 years old with over 30 years driving over the road and also taught at a state owned truck driving school for 3 years. Would they hire me at 61 years old, i still have a lot of driving to do, no tickets EVER, perfect driving record, perfect work record!! I drive any transmission, hauled dry van, reefer, flat bed, oversized equipment, houses, trailer dumps, dump trucks, loaders, crawlers, dozers excavators and everything in between. Also am a truck mechanic so i put in a lot of time learning my crafts.
Good luck to you. Follow instruction and work as directed. You’ll retire from there. They will pay you very well, but make no mistake about it, they expect you to earn it.

I’m a package handler at CACH and I’ve been here for 3 years almost. I want to get the first full time job that I can here. The only thing that concerns me about driving is the hours. I heard you’ll lose a lot of family time.
CACH CHSP How would I be able to apply if I’m a package handler with no experience? Would I have to go get my cdl and drive for another company for 2 years?
Never a good idea to wait. Anything (God Forbid) happens to your license.. Say an accident and etc.. it will be harder to get in plus you’d have to wait until they eventually take it off record! Best of luck though!
Ive been driving with a cdl for 12 years..clean record however experience is with automatic. Applying for Sleeper team. Which are auto but why is drive test manual
You forgot to mention, the mileage pay is paid to each driver. The cents per mile is not split. Example- if you're getting top mileage pay and your partner is getting top mileage pay. Both drivers get say .90 cents per mile not .45.
Randy Stone This is correct. It works the same for hourly pay as well. You get to a Hub and are scheduled to wait 2 hours for you trailer to close, you get paid 2 hours of clock time. Your team driver would get it as well, even if in the bunk sleeping taking their 10 hours off. It’s a very good job.
HEY ARNOLD GOT A FOOTBALL HEAD Miles are split. A 4 thousand mile run to the team would see each driver get 2000 miles at 60 cents per mile. At CACH, that would be a very short run, but more than likely a lot of clock time( delays) would be included in that run.
What happens if your teammate gets sick, hungover, etc.? What if your teammate is a disgusting, stinking, jerk? Where do we shower? Where/when do we eat? I believe 18. For someone who doesn't want to go to college this is a perfect job. Once you're in it's next to impossible to lose your job. They love to promote from within.
Trust me on this. Let your son try this out. I started working at ups when I was 18. I'm 32 years old now and it was the best decision I've ever made. The pay is very good without a degree.
I HAVE BEEN A UNION PERSON MY WHOLE LIFE, MINUS THE POLITICS THEY BACK, AND THERE IS NO WAY IT SHOULD TAKE 3 OR 4 YEARS TO GET UP TO SCALE! IT IS NOT AN APPRENTICESHIP LIKE BECOMING AN ELECTRICIAN OR A CARPENTER BECAUSE TO GET HIRED AT UPS OR JEWEL FOOD STORES, TNT HOLLAND, YOU HAVE TO BE QUALIFIED WHEN YOU YOU START.
19, just hit a year in the warehouse. really motivating vid, i’m still hesitant on how long the wait is until i get to drive the package cars. i was considering a trade such as a power lineman but ups seems cool too.
@jay son sounds just like my plan! Well, I just got my CDL and I was a driver helper this past season with UPS but I most likely have to wait til I’m 21 to actually drive for them (that’s six months away). So I gotta keep myself busy with other work and when the time comes I’m gonna see if I can get my foot back in the door.
Do yourself a favor and do lineman. The freight industry is terrible with layoffs every year not just with ups but with all trucking companies. It’s very volatile all has been always will be. Plus there will be no more drivers in a few short years. All these companies want to go autonomous sled driving trucks and get rid of drivers . Massive 💰💰💰 for trucking companies. And since everyone and everything is going green that means you will have a job for life! There’s a shortage of lineman out there I can’t say the same for truck drivers there’s a dime a dozen. Too many truck drivers not enough trucking companies with good pay benefits and job security.

UPS does not dictate who drives what equipment as it is one board. Seniority prevails in all circumstances. Most heavy seniority drivers prefer to drive the day cabs. The hiring is for sleepers as the video explains, it's where the growth is, however, due to retirements and e-commerce, many day cab positions have been added and do become available. Everyone can bid those positions and the highest seniority bidder will be awarded the bid. Many drivers who hired on to run sleepers just a short time ago are now in permanent day cab bids. You can jump back and forth as your seniority allows. We are a unionized workforce and seniority prevails in all circumstances. Hiring on and running teams initially, is an excellent way to get hired on into UPS. Be safe.
Precise Evox Talk to HR. We actually have a few UPS Freight drivers that made the jump. I believe you have to resign at Freight in order to make the jump.
sad that they lately replaced the white freightliners for the internationals 😖 they could’ve kept going for the white freightliners and add the Next Gen Kenworths instead!
Most of the equipment is automatic, however should you suffer a breakdown and you must be given a substitute tractor on the road there is no guarantee it will be an automatic. Therefore everyone must have knowledge operating a manual.

Hi, thank you. Your videos are very informative. Question, will ups ever hire tractor trailer or feeder drivers off the street? Please advise. Thank you 😊
They are doing it right now. CACH will be the epicenter for sleeper teams. It’s why people are flying in from all over the country to do the driving test. Once they pass and go through orientation, they move to the Chicago area. CACH is in need of hundreds of drivers. It’s all about timing.
@@Cvzqz23 Could be a year, could be longer as there are so many variables. Its a very lucrative union job, so it will be rough in the beginning in terms of schedule, but with time it certainly gets better.

If you don’t want to spend a ton of money getting your CDL, try to get hired on as a package car driver. Put your name on the feeder trainee list once you make book. Then, they’ll train you from there.
CACH will always be hiring but, mainly due to retirements etc. In the beginning, its not the easiest job as its an unpredictable schedule and work. If you can get through that, it is a very well paying job. Tough to get to that point.

It can be, yes. The money, benefits, and security are unmatched. It is a lifestyle that some may or may not like however. This is the way to get your foot in the door to a career with UPS.
Marjan Kozovski Yeah only drivers not in the Union are here in Indianapolis and it’s kinda not supposed to be like this. Chicago has a significantly stronger union then most.
He just stated roughly $3500 per month for each year of service towards your pension. So a UPS driver who worked 30 years retires with over $1.26 million dollars in the bank lol. Man, if UPS isn't the absolute gold standard for driving careers I don't know what is? They treat their drivers very good.
Unfortunately for many, all they see is starting pay. Not the insurance, pension, vacation time, and eventually, the top scale rate. The shrewd ones get it. UPS is paying as their base pay, what others are paying as their top scale pay. Take into account you no longer will be paying for insurance and you are well ahead, and that's at the starting rate of pay. From there you only go up. Be safe.
What if I did PVD for two seasons, I’m now in my second season starting Monday, and I have a CDL A, and I want to become a UPS Catch Driver, is it possible without tractor trailer driving experience? I’m not interested in the money. I just want a career with UPS. To me it’s the best company that truly provides for its workforce, and the culture is second to none. Having said that, I’m going to get my doubles/triples and Hazmat endorsements as well. I have a clean MVR, no DUIs, never did drugs, and I’m registered with Clearinghouse. 400 miles is a 800 mile round trip for feeder. Assuming 60 MPH, that's a 13+ hour driving day. Assuming a 1 hour commute to the hub, that's 14+ hrs total driving. Is that for real? I thought 10 hrs/day was the legal max.
Your uncle was very well known and still very much missed by all here at CACH. Make it happen.

24 yrs retired feeder driver.
How is ups was thinking about to apply in Lexington or Louisville
I've been at UPS for 9 months now. I've been on sleepers for 8 months and I like it. We have our own bid, we know where we go each week and when we'll be back. Great benefits, great pay and union.
How much experience is needed to get hired as a feeder or sleeper driver; I get my CDL on Friday?
I'm a retired feeder driver, worked 33 years. I was hired of the street as full time package driver. There's a good life after Big Brown.
is that the norm, Steve? Isn't it typical you have to be a package handler and then get enough seniority to get a driving test to see if they think you're worthy?
Cdl is good money

You forgot to mention, the mileage pay is paid to each driver. The cents per mile is not split. Example- if you're getting top mileage pay and your partner is getting top mileage pay. Both drivers get say .90 cents per mile not .45.
Randy Stone
This is correct. It works the same for hourly pay as well. You get to a Hub and are scheduled to wait 2 hours for you trailer to close, you get paid 2 hours of clock time. Your team driver would get it as well, even if in the bunk sleeping taking their 10 hours off. It’s a very good job.
CACH CHSP but the overall pay is split between them right ? Say 4000 miles x .58 Cpm = $ 2,320 per driver or $ 1,160 per driver ?
HEY ARNOLD GOT A FOOTBALL HEAD
Miles are split. A 4 thousand mile run to the team would see each driver get 2000 miles at 60 cents per mile. At CACH, that would be a very short run, but more than likely a lot of clock time( delays) would be included in that run.

Having to start over the road before you can go day cab is about the worst hiring tactic I’ve ever heard of.
I'm not sure if that is the same everywhere. In my area I'm pretty sure that you can choose to either do teams OTR or stay on the call board (both have pros and cons) until you have the senority to get a local route. I know several people who have done it, and that is what they told me, unless the policy has changed. I'm not completely sure.

Be safe.

A week ago Ups called me for an interview for the position I applied for as a city driver tractor trailer , and ask if i had my hazmat, i was like I’m in the process of getting it , they said call back when you get it, we will keep you in the loop lol
yea fuk that
@@jamescarlin569 yea i passed up the job, ups sold the freight to tfi transport so basically is through another carrier thats works with ups lol
@@MT_20_25 Yeah went to the interview at that new outfit & after I heard all that they had to offer & that once the rest of that UPS union contract expires that they probably won't stay Union, I said I appreciate your time and got up and left! Told me I would be at $26.00 for a while & my benefits wouldn't kick in for damn near 4 months 🤷🏾♂️ TForce is outta Canada and initially they wanted to start at $17.00 & I told'em yeah you think your having trouble getting drivers now, at $17.00 hr management will be delivering that freight 🤣
If the miles are split wouldn’t it make it 35 cents per mile down from 70 cents
No, 6000 miles would be split and the rate of pay is 71 cents per mile to start. So each driver would get 3000 miles at 71 cents per mile, or roughly $2,130 to each driver for just the mileage aspect.
No, I’m retired USPS. Have a great day.
Hi mr carpenter do they hire felon
@@farmfitnesspham4913 no felons
@@farmfitnesspham4913 yes they do heuy
In California you have to start from the bottom as unloading a truck then only then u might a chance to get a position. No matter how much experience u have
Man I should get my a license And go to ups I’m in the teamsters also but my benefits aren’t is good as that lol
I applied for the Sleeper Team position. My next step is to schedule a road test. I have no interest in a day cab run out of Chicago. I want to team. I’m a current team driver for R+L Carriers, an LTL company. I reside in FL. I was told that I can get hired on with my FL CDL, as long as I commute to work. (Plan on flying). Is all of this really possible? This is the only thing that’s holding me up from scheduling my road test…
@@CHSP6059 thank you 😊
@@CHSP6059 how long does someone need to be in the sleeper team before they are able to move into the feeders?
@@Cvzqz23 Could be a year, could be longer as there are so many variables. Its a very lucrative union job, so it will be rough in the beginning in terms of schedule, but with time it certainly gets better.
@@CHSP6059 thank you for the response.
Well im sold.. lets take this journey ..
I am 40 without experience don’t have CDL, is there a possibility for me to get training and become a driver or should I take my CDL on my own .Thanks.
If you don’t want to spend a ton of money getting your CDL, try to get hired on as a package car driver. Put your name on the feeder trainee list once you make book. Then, they’ll train you from there.
Any chance of another hiring spree for sleeper drivers?
Current private fleet driver and curious if what they say is true about UPS.
CACH will always be hiring but, mainly due to retirements etc. In the beginning, its not the easiest job as its an unpredictable schedule and work. If you can get through that, it is a very well paying job. Tough to get to that point.
Currently work for fedex freight doing linehaul. Thinking of switching to UPS. What job would be good for me? Is it a good idea to make the jump?
Bro I just became a road driver for FXF. Witches from city driver. I’m loving it. This all sounds great but at least we are home every single day! More money but we have it really good! At least I do at my terminal haha gotta do what’s best for you tho bro!
Wow, impressive information, and excellent delivery!
I have my CDL with tanker and zero tickets on my record, born on the native American reservation in red lake, combat veteran of operation enduring freedom. Would love to be a UPS driver in thief river falls mn, but it's not easy being hired on direct. Personal vehicle driver I do over the winter is very fun!
Can you go into more details about the actual road test , I have one scheduled next week and could use any tips/information , thanks
Hi there love the videos i have definitely learned a lot ! i was curious if ups will accept applicants to become as a driver if i had a past dui 4 years ago?
Ups driver here.
Speeding tickets etc. and such are a year I believe.
Duis are 3 years. So you should be good brother!
I am REALLY considering a career change. I'm a 50 year old female and I don't mind working hard. Is this a good move for me??
It can be, yes. The money, benefits, and security are unmatched. It is a lifestyle that some may or may not like however. This is the way to get your foot in the door to a career with UPS.
You forgot to mention at top vacation you get over 8 freakin weeks of paid vacation hahaha!
Say what!!? 😂... that's unheard of. UPS might be my next career... seriously
@Sweet Potatoe Pie 20
Sweet Potatoe Pie
No. You will have 3 weeks by your 2nd year. 4 weeks by 8th year and so on.
Nick Arnold Are the OTR drivers in a union?
Be safe.
Ontario, CA still hiring off the street ?
What happen if im already working for ups as a package handler and i go to netts to get my cdl a?
Sign the Feeder intent list and contact HR.
I work for ups as well but I'm not familiar with "netts". Can someone explain ? Thx
@@CHSP6059 ohhh ok. Thanks and sorry for the late response. 🙏
@@CJ-eb2nt netts is a trucking school. Where you go, learn and get any cdl if you pass the exams.
Now, should I get experience elsewhere or apply directly to UPS Catch? In addition, I reside in the NYC area. Thank you.
Reach out to Maria in the video description. You are better served texting her as she is very busy. If you have questions regarding the job you can reach out/text to me and I will answer as truthfully as possible. (630) 333-6504
Great video!!! I work at UPS SCS. I was wondering if I would keep my pay scale and my 6 year of service with UPS if I quit and went to work for CACH.
No
I’m in the New Orleans area. I’m looking to get hired on with the ups family.
I’m praying to God for this job
At ups you are what you make your self as far as the working man jobs go. Apply or take the steps needed to put your foot in the feeder department. I was offered the feeder department job and declined since the night shift is the only time available in my area but been a package car driver for last 10yrs. Same pay but more labor in package car
Alot of what happens at ccah is different from the rest of the company at coloh we start much lower on the pay scale and sleeper trucks are impossible to get into.
If you're Republican make sure to send your ballot via ups!
In my area top pay is 39.60
Great video!
Does UPS have solo drivers? How soon can you be a solo driver?
I’m sorry no job pay enough to sleep in a truck . Let alone drive teams I’m telling you right now you can not SLEEP IN MOVING TRUCK
yep impossible and good luck finding a good or right partner also,,,its a stranger lol
Last month UPS in Texas told me that starting pay is $29/hour or $.35 per mile. Why is the pay so low for Texas? Did the pay rate drop after the TFI deal?
Hello, I work for UPS now as a PVD driver and I love UPS, its management, and my fellow workers. However, I do have my CDL A, but I need my endorsements. I will take those tests very soon. Having said that do you need at least 6 months of experience to jump on board because I was told by a UPS Freight driver that we don't need the experience to join UPS Feeder driver company. Is that true or do I need to find experience elsewhere? Thank you for your advice and I wish you and your family a happy and healthy New Year!
John N. B.
That sounds low compared to other companies. Hopefully they changed over the last 4 years
i notice you didnt show the front windshield. you guys have front facing cameras? meaning you guys like to watch....
Correct, some not all, of the fleet has forward facing cameras that are activated by defined trigger events.
@@CHSP6059 thanks for the responses my man
Fayetteville NC is 21 an hour
Will CACH CHSP train to obtain Class A CDL? I currently work there as a loader and have my Class A permit with DOT physical
You will have to talk to a 705 steward. They can direct you.
So all I need is my permit and my doubles and triples right
And NO automatic restriction. You must know how to operate a manual transmission.
I'm 14 i have this in my recommended lol but maybe this'll help me out when I need to find a job
How come they are offering $21/hr for an on call possible sleeper feeder driver here in slc? I always thought starting pay was at least $30/hr
Sheldon Berglund It May be in SLC. No one would bite at $21. Chicago is an expensive area in terms of cost of living. I believe that’s why it was raised, but not 100% certain. I do not speak for them. I’m a driver trying to give knowledgeable information so you can make an informed decision.
@@CHSP6059 I interviewed at Addison hub in 2017/2018 for feeder position/line haul and it started at $18.75hr I believe it was no where near $30hr starting scale so they must have changed alot since then or since the new contract
@@cmonsense154 it's still 18.75 which is too little pay for all that work
$30 an hour and the people at UPS in Hodgkins Il cant do their job, and just transfer and deliver packages? Packages at Hodgkins Illinois just disappear in thin air?
UPS is the best career path, without college.
Is there a way to fight a negative rehire status?
Yes, by speaking directly to a union BA and/or the HR hiring manager. I would do that before applying online
IS THIS PAY AT CACH GOING TO BE LOWERED BECAUSE OF THE NEW CONTRACT WITH TEAMSTERS?? EVERYONE IS WORRIED ABOUT THEIR PAY NOW.
No. The MRA ( Market Rate Adjustment) will stay intact.
Central States Pension Fund won't be there for new hires.
Been with FedEx OTR for a month - enjoying it but we don’t get all those benefits and the 65 mph Governor is annoying outside of Cali - definitely interested
Ontario Calif is hiring off the street as well. Many many FDX Freight, Express, and Ground drivers have made their home here.
I’m feeder for ups out of the Los Angeles basin. I haven’t worked in almost two months. It was good the first two months after that it’s been dead. I’ve been waiting on a phone call for the past two months. Every time I call dispatch they say just hang on buddy it’s gonna pick up pretty soon giving me all this false hope non sense. I left my previous job just to get laid off by ups. I’m still waiting hopefully I would get that phone call to come back. 🤞🏽
400 miles is a 800 mile round trip for feeder. Assuming 60 MPH, that's a 13+ hour driving day. Assuming a 1 hour commute to the hub, that's 14+ hrs total driving. Is that for real? I thought 10 hrs/day was the legal max.
400-600 miles round trip is average for Feeders that drive the day cabs. Hope that clears things up. Be safe.
