    After 'growing passed' Linkin Park after the first album, this has made me return. The new album is fantastic. Emily is phenomenal. Gone back to check on what i have missed. Really like Thousand Suns

    This deep dive was well done. Identification of LP elements, on point. Recognition of the complicatedness of the whole thing and then also acknowledging the bravery of the band to move forward. Most importantly the new album is amazing! Linkin Park is back.

    When I first listened to "The Emptiness Machine", I was wondering whether Emily is related to Chester or not, because her vocals felt so similar yet so different. Then I listened to the whole album, and now I can't stop listening to it. From Zero pays tribute to the previous albums and it also blends their style to create something new. I am impressed how Emily and Colin easily assimilated to LP's style to the point that it felt like they were part of the band since the beginning. I am excited to see what they do next.

    It's a new chapter of Linkin Park No one can replace Chester RIP and Rob Bourdon on Drums. Linkin Park have every right to continue on because of all the hard work they put over the many years they have been together they may never sound the same but I'd rather see lineup changes to one of my favorite bands than completely disband if that's what it takes for them to go on

    This review sums up the album perfectly. Sadly there will always be fans comparing Emily and Chester, and there will sadly be fans always saying that Emily shouldn't be in the band and that LP should have folded. Well, they are wrong. Why should LP fold, Chester wouldn't have wanted that. I'll bet that he would LOVE this new album. Emily is no Chester, and Chester is no Emily, they are both their own singers, but at the same time, they are/were both perfect for LP IMHO. From Zero is the best album since Meteroa IMHO. Folk should stop critising Emily and comparing Emily to Chester. Its simply not fair on Emily. She is an amazing singer, can put her voice to anything, just like Chester could. As I said, Chester would be overjoyed that LP have carried on and would be loving this new album

    Emily is not a replacement, no one can replace Chester. This is just a new era of Linkin Park, as Mike Shinoda said. Chester is still a LEGEND and Emily brings a new energy and talent to the band. Two things can be true at the same time. Mike Shinoda started the band and utimately they made the decision together to return. I am glad they're back, I am glad that the band took the time to grief and go back to what they love, which is making music! Yes Chester's son /family and other fans can be upset about it, but the band doesn't owe anyone anything. I went to the live show in Dallas and seeing them in person was awesome!!!! The Album is fantastic, I stayed up to listen to it when it was released on Apple Music, and kept it on repeat for days!!!! Been a fan since 2001. Listened to Hybrid Theory on my walkman, will ride and die for this band. Can't wait to see what's next :)

    Kid needs to grow the hell up. I know it's tough but he really needs to get over his prejudice. Everybody is doing the best they can to respect Chester's memory without outright disbanding just because the son wants that

    Great video. I’m so sick of people saying the new LP music isn’t good, or Emily is not a good replacement.
    The album is fucking fantastic and Emily has truly arrived!

    Never realized she was from Dead Sara! Haven't listened to the album yet, but interested to hear if there are any similarities that translated to this LP album. Nice highlight!

    It’s mostly OG fans particularly those who are either 30 or 40 years old hate what they become now. they never approved of anything that came after Meteora. not to mention some of them say that they should fire Emily due to her association with Scientology and the fact that she supported a rapist. they also say that Chester was LINKIN PARK, and that Mike should change the band name.

    • @chrisb4944
      @chrisb4944 20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Make NO MISTAKE. Linkin Park is Mike and Brad's band, they are the co-founders. Chester came in last. The reason people think Chester is Linkin Park is because Mike saw his talent and the emotion he brought and pushed him to the front as the front man/lead singer of Linkin Park. That is where the conflict from the fans started. Regarding Scientology people have not done their research. If they had they would know that she was deceived/blindsided by the Danny situation and its not hard to imagine that she has abandoned them a long time ago, but can't admit that to people because of how they send goons to threaten people who abandon Scientology and talk shit about them after the fact. How is it not clear that Emily knows this and is playing the smart game by not saying anything and its pretty obvious she is no longer apart of Scientology. Too much time has past, their BS religion has been exposed to the general public, but they have goons that go after people who leave or bad mouth them. Do some fucking research people....

      @123theprodigy5 Well, Im 43 and was a fan right from HT, and I am definitely NOT one of those that hate this new era of LP, very much the opposite in fact.
      Plus, Emily was born into Scientology, and is NOT a scientologist as far as Im aware. Apparently, she didn't care one bit about it growing up, she just wanted to rock and skate and be a normal kid. Also, whilst she WAS (Past tense) a friend of Masterson's and supported him for ONE DAY of his trial, but once she heard of all the details of what he did, she cut all ties with him.
      So all the Emily haters should stop, and read more into who she really is, and not judge her on what was reported.

    • @123theprodigy5
      @123theprodigy5 6 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Yep, definitely, it’s mostly delusional Chester fans who criticize anything the band does. they undermine each member’s importance in the band. I tried telling one TH-camr about how Chester wasn’t the original singer of the band, and that he auditioned. I told them about Mark Wakefield, and this TH-camr chose not to acknowledge the band‘s history as XERO and instead just look at LINKIN PARK as if XERO was a different band.

    I can say I was one of those fans that liked 1-2 songs here and there from the newer albums. Then Chester's death hit me so hard...
    The Emptiness Machine was a historical song. I felt alive again and cried, it was so honorable, it was a beautiful new hope that was lost before.
    I don't care what people think they know about Emily. Based on multiple hours of my OWN observations and digging I fully trust her genuine kindness, talent and right to continue Chester's legacy. Now she's finally home.
    From Zero went way above my expectations. I thought they are releasing their best tracks as singles and the rest would be average or mediocre. Nowhere near that! Two Faced and Good Things Go are something special. The rest are great too and there is only 1 song out of 10 that I don't feel. That's the highest percentage of enjoyable songs for me across ALL Linkin Park albums so far. Even HT and Meteora had some weak fillers for me no matter how much I love those albums.
    I'm so happy and excited to see them live next year, it was always my dream. If only I could shake Chester's hand for a moment... but we can't! 😢 Fortunately a big part of his spirit lives in one brave woman. 😊

      Death. On July 20, 2017, at the age of 41, Bennington was found dead at his home in Palos Verdes Estates, California. Authorities ruled his death as suicide by hanging. No suicide note was left and toxicology reports only found a trace amount of alcohol in his system.
