The Criminal's head on Ledger's body gave me a massive Lee Bermejo vibe, little bit of paint and adjustment and I think it'd be a perfect match for how he'd drawn the character
It pains me that this figure lacks in so many ways. I would have been okay with a knife as his ONLY accessory in lieu of the money pile. I haven’t found the figure yet, but I will be customizing him when I do. For your comparison video, will bootleg Ronald McDonald Joker make an appearance? I think that this wave is a let down, especially for a wave based upon The Dak Knight Trilogy. Every review I watched so far highlighted many criticisms with this wave. I think that only the Batman figure is the one that came out better than the others, although with some criticism, and in fact it is the only one that I'll get
I don't watch other people's reviews of figures I'm going to cover because I don't want to be influenced, so I have been largely unaware of the criticisms others have had. That said, since posting my Batman I have looked at some and do see some points others are making. Batman and Bane are the standouts it's seems, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to that video this weekend.
I think I'd rather hunt for the older Neca version with more paint apps and details. I've seen some of the Neca bootlegs out there and I swear the face looks like Ron Pearlman! Looking forward to the next Joker comparions video,
I think Barry Keoghan is a fun casting for the Joker and I hope Matt Reeves puts him in the other upcoming movies. Though it's gonna be hard to beat Heath Ledger!
I don't know anyone can beat Heath, but I'm open to something completely different and fresh that doesn't feel like it's trying to be an impersonation of him, or really any other Joker. Fingers crossed.
Since the mk11 Joker fig is based on the mk11 game, he has variations of skins in that game. So the Heath Ledger body works really with the mk11 Joker head, so its a win win!
I think the coat has too much red, it should be bluer, closer to the pants. That being said, I love this design for joker and the inaccuracies actually make it better for my general mashup display. I'm a big fan of the Lee Bermejo Joker design. So I think this will pull double duty for my more realistic display. I guess Ledger as criminal, Leto as clown. Not sure about comedian yet.
I honestly wasn't feeling Keoghan's Joker design. If/when he appears in future projects, I really hope they tweak his look to be less over-the-top ugly. Heck, I'd prefer something more like Gotham's take on Joker in the show's finale.
I agree. I really did not care for it at all. I like the idea of him in the role, though. Hopefully since our only "good look" of him was in a deleted scene, and therefore doesn't count, they will receive the criticism and adjust accordingly. Frankly, I don't care if Pattinson ever has a Joker. There have been enough Jokers. I want the rest of the rogues gallery to get some love.
All joking aside... I wanted so bad for this Joker to get a 5.0 but I have to agree that it did earn its 3.5. I thought it was amazing on how good many of the head swaps worked with Ledger body! Can't wait for the VS!

Both are Spike from Alien 3. One is from the Lanard Runner figure,, and the other is from the NECA accessory set.
