This is an absolute unit of a figure. I have all the Dark Knight Returns versions of Batman figures since DC Direct and going through DC Collectibles and Mattel's DC Multiverse. But damn, this one is on a whole new level.
@@LAbirdmanJD I wouldn't say it's my favorite figure representation of Dark Knight Returns Batman - one of my favorite versions of Batman - because the ears are too short, to the point of being nearly non-existent. Batman's ears in TDK are indeed short, but they are still there, whereas in this case they're a fraction too short. In that regard, there are more accurate representations of the TDK Batman. But overall the figure is well made, very stuffy, and has a great presence in hand!
I think im gonna start my official batman collection on mcfarlane lines. Mafex is way too expensive(but i do undestand tho, quality & everything). The black & grey or blue & grey suit just hits so differently unlike the whole black suit(i dont know maybe im just into the graphic material). NICE REVIEW! Thank you!
Ha ha just pre ordered this DKR Batman on Amazon for $20. I do want the horse now too ha ha I've seen the Batman three times. I wonder if we'll get a blue battle damaged variant with small batarangs🤔
I got mine just recently, I freaking love this figure!! However, I want to know if the Batman justice league headsculpt from Beast Kingdom could fit into this head since it’s on a ball peg ? I'm looking for a new head, I intend to recreate Batfleck classic suit Mcfarlane
I don't have any Beast Kingdom figures so it is difficult to say for sure, BUT since they are 8" scale and this Batman is a bit on the shorter side, I don't know that the head would scale properly. Would be interested to see, though.
Next time you do a Batman related review would you mind perhaps doing a height comparison of this Batman to the Synder Superman please? I’ve been debating on getting this figure to make a Batman v Superman Batfleck and wanna see if the height and proportions work out. If not that’s cool too.

I can't be sure, but I wonder if it's like a reverse exaggeration. At that point, Batman was usually drawn with an average build and big points ears. Maybe since he made Batman gigantic, the tiny ears were to contrast? I dunno.
