Another spot on review by Hafiz. I was fortunate to pick this up in December and everything covered in this video is true. For the folks that say you cannot wear this because it’s too flashy, that is correct, it’s not a watch that is meant to be timid. It is why Rolex offers the steel variants. Between this watch, the new Kermit and my SD43, this watch is my favorite. When worn in a sunny day it is when it shows it’s true elegance. The dial cycles from dark to bright blue depending on light. No other model catches this like the Bluesy except maybe the Hulk. The white lettering is subjective but I prefer it as it contrasts better with the watch. For what is worth it is also easier to be had than steel models and like its predecessor, it doesn’t have the ridiculous mark up if you want to buy it from a reseller. Thank you Hafiz, you are definitely my favorite TH-camr for Rolex pieces. I, like many folks here appreciate your attention to detail in your videos and the love you have for not just the brand, but also watches in general.

GREAT review on the bluesy. The white text on blue dial visually changes the blue tone shade of the dial . Made the blue pop more compared to the gold text where your eyes are drawn a bit to the gold color of the text.

Hafiz, I recently discovered your channel and binge-watched at least a dozen of your videos. These are the best video reviews I've seen on youtube by a mile. In particular, those longer shot wrist shots that you set up are beautiful and super helpful. It's frustrating that between corona and supply issues it's nearly impossible to actually go try on a bunch of watches at the AD before buying, getting onto a wait list, or buying grey market. I'll bet those shots are a real hassle to set up and light, but I will tell you that they are greatly appreciated!

You're right, the black Sub paired with this is a killer combo. Day vs night, Winter vs Summer, stealth vs flash, date vs no date, they compliment each other.
These two tone subs offer the best bang of buck considering the presence of precious metals over steel. I just picked up the little brother Tudor S&G and am so pleased with the wearing experience. Maybe one day I'll be fortunate to step up the 126613, or even the 16613.
I do too, and the white lettering is the first thing I criticized about the new one when I first saw it. I am very happy with my 2019 model and wouldn't trade it for the new, it was my first Rolex after all.

I own the 116613LB and would agree that it gets noticed more than my stainless BUT my blue Pelagos gets just as much attention (if you want to call it that) - I think it’s just the blue. But I don’t consider it flashy...maybe it’s a personal thing. Flashy to me, are the iced-out models 🤮 but to each their own - if you like it, wear it with pride. The Rolesor models, IMO, can be everyday wear versus the all [colored] gold models which are more limited to wear, for several reasons. But the white gold models are perfect...the feel of the precious metal models is amazing and like no other. Again, it’s a personal preference, some don’t like the weight. I love the feel of the Rolesor models. However, the Bluesy is the only yellow Rolesor model I think I’ll own but the rose colored, like the CHNR 😍, it’s on. That’s my next purchase. And to emphasize, I didn’t buy it to show off or anything. I did because I like it. I don’t like any other jewelry or gold chains so this is an anomaly for me. My other watches are mostly stainless or on a dark rubber strap. Great video, as always!
I disagree with the fact it can’t be a daily. I have worn mine since October when I got it almost every day. Now I typically have a tie one but do not hesitate to wear it with jeans even for a second
the previous version's blue is darker and less vibrant this version has some kind of crystal transparent effect it can also go almost full dark at large angles very interesting one and can't help keep watching it while driving...

Personally I feel one of the best features of this watch is its versatility. With the stainless steel, yellow gold, and royal blue dial, there’s an opportunity to wear it with everything. So while I loved the review, I would respectfully disagree that it cannot be a daily. That said, I would agree it is not understated. But then again, when you buy a Ferrari, can you expect to go unnoticed?

It’s one of those pieces that you have to see in person to appreciate it. I always knew it existed but wasn’t that interested until I saw one in a window at a Rolex AD. The way it looked with the sun hitting it was beautiful. Shortly after I bought it and it’s my favorite watch in my collection now. My collection consists of a Grand Seiko titanium GMT, Breitling Navitimer 01, Sprite GMT and the Bluesy. The Bluesy is the prettiest in my collection!

I own this watch now for 5 months. In my opinion the best looking watch in its price range. I enjoy this watch mostly during weekends. I have an office job and I dont find it suitable for in the office. My wrist size is around 17.5 cm. I have to say that sometimes I find this watch a bit too big on my wrist because of the lug to lug height. Especially in colder weather. In warm summer weather the watch fits perfectly and also the sunburst dial looks amazing when the sun hits the dial. The clasp is very usefull but too big. It doesnt look that sophisticated. Overall I love this watch for occasional wear. Not for daily wearing.
Have the steel 41mm in black. But this makes me want too look at a two tone Rolex maybe the GMT or the yacht master. But your right it's not a daily wear. You also have to be careful where you wear it.

Thanks for this review Mehmood, I don't know how you make every watch look good on you but I've gotten myself this unit recently. Glad that the Two Tone are not subject to crazy pricing in the grey market compared to the SS models. I'm also looking for a post 2005 16613LB unit with burple dial. I believe this and the new 12 are far closer to the classic Rolex Sub curves compared to the 11s.
I’m so conflicted about this watch. Really didn’t like it the first time I saw it. But I keep coming back to videos of it….Still not sure that it’s a daily wear, but it could be the perfect Summer vacation (luxury) watch! 😎
Fantastic video as usual Hafiz love the macro shots as well. My only constructive criticism is the bezel isn’t aligned at 12 for the first few minutes of the video. But overall fantastic content and I always look forward to new videos going up.
It's a brighter royal blue with bright white lettering. The 2019 blue is a little darker, deeper, and the gold lettering is more subdued, which I prefer with the 4 lines. Rolex really screwed up not keeping the gold text. Seems like the 116613LBs have gone up a little since the new model release.
Excellent review. Bluesy will be my next Rolex but I think I will go for the 40mm as I prefer the gold text & the repairability of the robust 3135 as opposed to the replaceability of the efficient 3235.
Fantastic videography as always!! I used to own the 116613lb, and the reason i personally got rid of it was. This watch looks wonderful and amazing in only two circumstances. First, no scratches, dust, smudges, second, you have the appropriate lighting. Once these are not given, the watch loses its appeal, and will no longer feel an expensive special piece. Yes you cannot avoid the scratches, and yes you have to enjoy it, but for me as soon as the honeymoon was over, i couldn't really enjoy it the same way. Also no matter what people say, it's not a versatile piece. So i moved on to the 118238 day date, and whether i have a black t-shirt, or a white shirt on, it just looks amazing, and frankly for me, makes all other watches look secondary haha, even if they aren't.
Thanks. Yes, I’d buy bluesy over TT LN any day. None of these are daily-kind of watches, so bluesy it is for me just to enjoy the loudness at its fullest. But my preference shouldn’t change what you like better 👍

Bluesy blue is very different to 15500 blue. You’ve already got two black dials, so I personally think bluesy is a better piece to complete your collection. Bluesy is really a special piece vs 13LN. LN is lovely but it’s neither too flashy being black dial, nor too subtle being two tone.

Next hurdle is waiting time haha. The black can be had in less than two months, the bluesy a lot longer (referring to retail).

Great balanced review. I agree it’s primarily a special occasion watch for most people. I have this 41mm Bluesy and 41mm Starbucks and both have similar and different attractions. I also have DJ 41 blue dial and I wonder if the blue tone is the same as Bluesy. Certainly the blue bezel gives an extra pop.

Thanks for this review Mehmood, I don't know how you make every watch look good on you but I've gotten myself this unit recently. Glad that the Two Tone are not subject to crazy pricing in the grey market compared to the SS models. I'm also looking for a post 2005 16613LB unit with burple dial. I believe this and the new 12 are far closer to the classic Rolex Sub curves compared to the 11s.

Fantastic video as usual Hafiz love the macro shots as well. My only constructive criticism is the bezel isn’t aligned at 12 for the first few minutes of the video. But overall fantastic content and I always look forward to new videos going up.
can you please describe the difference of dial color of this and the previous version?
It's a brighter royal blue with bright white lettering. The 2019 blue is a little darker, deeper, and the gold lettering is more subdued, which I prefer with the 4 lines.
Rolex really screwed up not keeping the gold text. Seems like the 116613LBs have gone up a little since the new model release.

Excellent review. Bluesy will be my next Rolex but I think I will go for the 40mm as I prefer the gold text & the repairability of the robust 3135 as opposed to the replaceability of the efficient 3235.

Fantastic videography as always!! I used to own the 116613lb, and the reason i personally got rid of it was. This watch looks wonderful and amazing in only two circumstances. First, no scratches, dust, smudges, second, you have the appropriate lighting. Once these are not given, the watch loses its appeal, and will no longer feel an expensive special piece. Yes you cannot avoid the scratches, and yes you have to enjoy it, but for me as soon as the honeymoon was over, i couldn't really enjoy it the same way. Also no matter what people say, it's not a versatile piece. So i moved on to the 118238 day date, and whether i have a black t-shirt, or a white shirt on, it just looks amazing, and frankly for me, makes all other watches look secondary haha, even if they aren't.
I'm next on the list to receive the black and gold sub! The LV. Watching your video makes me question my decision! Should I wait for a Bluesy?!

No contest for me. Bluesy won. It tends to hold value better than the black as well, an added bonus.

Thanks. Yes, I’d buy bluesy over TT LN any day. None of these are daily-kind of watches, so bluesy it is for me just to enjoy the loudness at its fullest.

Bluesy blue is very different to 15500 blue. You’ve already got two black dials, so I personally think bluesy is a better piece to complete your collection.
Bluesy is really a special piece vs 13LN. LN is lovely but it’s neither too flashy being black dial, nor too subtle being two tone.
@@HafizJMehmood Thank you. Excellent point which I had not thought about re the dial color. I have not yet seen the bluesy in person as the AD does not have any on display. But I like your advise. Next hurdle is waiting time haha. The black can be had in less than two months, the bluesy a lot longer (referring to retail).

Great balanced review. I agree it’s primarily a special occasion watch for most people. I have this 41mm Bluesy and 41mm Starbucks and both have similar and different attractions. I also have DJ 41 blue dial and I wonder if the blue tone is the same as Bluesy. Certainly the blue bezel gives an extra pop.
Different blue between DJ41 and Bluesy. The Bluesy has the deeper royal blue dial as Rolex calls it. The one in the DJ41 is a little bit more greyish.
I wear mine daily!
