- Recent court documents have revealed that one of the four suspects in custody, Tifany Adams, who is the grandmother of the children caught in a bitter custody dispute, gave a recorded statement to investigators after her arrest, admitting responsibility for the murders of Veronica Butler and Jilian Kelley. Court documents show Adams and her co-conspirators had plans to target the judge next.

If she thought Veronicas brother had done something she / they would have gone after him not her. If she had another plan to go after the judge then this had nothing to do with claims about the brother. I suspect those claims were only made to try and sway the judge. They all knew it wasn't true I am certain.

What about the mother or father of the children’s mother…their other grandparents? Did their mother not have parents that are alive? Let’s just hope they don’t give custody to the children’s father….he’s violent just like his mother and the new woman he was with had to leave the state just to get away from him.

There were allegations of sexual abuse from the mother's brother. It has been stated that she was trying to protect the kids from going back around that kind of environment, not that she is justified in her actions.

IMO this case is worthy of the DP because they murdered Jilian in cold blood too, who had absolutely nothing to do with the child custody case other than fulfilling a court ordered role. RIP Veronica and Jilian.

I think Tifany recruited the 3 helpers by telling them she would be totally responsible and take the fall if they got caught - convincing them she would never tell of their involvement, She didn't think the whole story would be known like it was. The other 3 had nothing to gain.i read that Veronica had tried to get a Protective Order against Tifany before and it was denied. Seems like the court system around there was slanted in Tifany's favor.

No. He was a Municipal judge in Elkhart, Kansas. He handled things like traffic tickets, noise complaints, etc. He’s not a lawyer. The custody cases were in Cimarron County, Oklahoma, before a district court judge. Whole different stste, whole fifferent court system.

This really is similar to the Pike County murders as the grandmother was suggesting that grandchild was being molested and then dreamed up the murders then turned and confessed. Very similar in content.

I don’t think any of them have entered a plea yet. No doubt it will be not guilty, though, when they do so.

Could it be, I was "responsible" was not so much a confession of personal guilt, But, I was scared and hurting and they acted to help me and the kids, and I knew which way the Judge walked home, could that be a make him To blame kinda thing? I knew he went this way and we made sure they were on his pathway so they could say well he was here, left and then they got gone, the judge did it? Just another POV maybe responsible wasn't a personal admission of guilt but setting up to blame. another, and I would be curious as to if the judges path in anyway intersects with where these ladies were found. Altho I do think he was possibly a target and the person they rented land from was possibly a scapegoat. I would love to know how LONG they had been plotting This.
