Justin, you could've made a component instead of a group @5:05, so that the step can be modified later however you want. After exploding, you will still have step component instances. Good video presentation buddy.. !
There's probably a few ways I could have done that part better - I was in a bit of a hurry that morning, but the Flowify pieces should still be sound - thanks!
Hey, I'm having trouble doing the actual flowify, and you actually skip the part where you perform the flowify. It seems my grouping works, because I can impose grid. My railing is a little different though, because my railing is against the side of the stairs and not on top of it, so I tried not to draw my railing inside the flow panel like you did. But even when I do put it inside the flow panel, it keeps saying "not enough input". Any tips?
Well first of all, I don't understand what you mean about skipping the Flowify. I literally showed every single step in this video. Second of all, if it tells you you don't have enough input, your grouping is wrong, or you don't have enough objects selected...
@@Thesketchupessentials Sorry I wasnt trying to be a smartass! It's just, at 17:16 you say "hit the save button" and then your rail is done after a cut. Other than that I can't really figure out what I'm doing wrong, since I feel I'm following the steps...
@@ThirdDegreeGurn 17:45 I run it again and show you exactly how. Your grouping is wrong - you don't have your 3 groups inside a single group, or you're not selecting your base object and your target group.
@@Thesketchupessentials shit I'm sorry for giving you a hard time then. I had not selected my rail group. I now have a different problem. I dont get the error on clicking the flowify button, but now just nothing happens. Like the cursor changes from white to black so something happened but nothing shows. Btw youve been my go-to sketchup guide since i was a teenager!
Instead of doing such a long process you can simply make same railing using fenceMaker extension just click the path and select the type of railing you want and boom its done!!!!!
I followed every single step in the video until when I click my flowify group and my railings (with all the geometry) and flowify it, my railings became HUGE like in size like it didn't even flowify properly
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! This tutorial was exactly what I needed!
you are so comprehensive that i have started liking your videos even before watching

justin, how to free download JHS POWER plugins..?
What's up guy.......blabla bla... i love ur voice ^^
Umm - thanks?
i follow your tutorial why imposed grid not appeared when i click it?
Usually means you set your grouping up wrong
Or your base or target group doesn't have 4 corners
bro justin geis, how to get that jhs powerbar?
Don't I link to more info in the notes below the video?
I cant find play it again option .WHY?
I'm assuming you didn't install the extension that adds that option

"It's not working" really isn't a lot to go on...

Well...does your source geometry group contain raw faces?
