Hi there! I've a question. I switched from Sketchup 2019 to 2020 and now I lost the most of my extensions.... Unfortunately Curviloft doesn't work with my Sketchup 2020. Do you have any suggestions for a replacement for this extension? I want to 'skin contours' like you did. Also my Joint/Push Pull doesn't work... Maybe you can help me with this problem. I'm searching the whole day for good replacements to work faster in my models, but i can't find anything

Just started working with Sketchup. I am strictly using it for stairs. What I am finding is all the tutorials use the same method. Which in reality are wrong in a sense. There no radius in the ones you just went through. There are no closed stringers or any stringers for that matter, and no nosing's. Now, I have managed to produce some straight systems. Mind you it is so very slow to design. Even slower designing rails and spindles to building codes. In your coarse, do you offer a detailed set of work flows in the course you offer?

This is great and really helpful! I just have one question: I have a spiral staircase with an outer circle of 1,00m and an inner circle of 0,20m. While making the wall railing, the outer circle will work fine but the inner circle gives an error when using Curviloft. It says 'Contours can not be interpreted correctly. Try to force separations with small cut lines.' I honestly don't know what they mean, but I guess it's happening because the lines of the inner circle are too small?
I would appreciate it a lot if you could help!

Hi Denise - Can you try scaling your model up by a factor of 5 or so using the scale tool, then see if it works? Sometimes when you start working with really small dimensions, SketchUp gets a little wonky...

@@xDns1 Hi, double clicking on one of the components allows you to edit just that component.

you could find he inferred center of rotation by using the protractor tool to draw two guidlines on the edges, and their intersection is the center. But in this video, I think he used the 'find center' option for the circles before erasing, so he just rotated from that center very quickly
