It’s good to see this car again. I look forward to seeing some video of it all dressed up & our driving.
A good friend here in Australia owns the same model but in a 1936. It’s 1 of only 49 produced RHD for the export market (Model 66CX, X=export). It came with paperwork from the AACA saying it’s the only one they know that still exists. It’s gorgeous and is Sequoia Cream with a tan roof & tan leather interior (like your old 1941 Roadmaster Convertible).
PS: the restoration of my 1941 Roadmaster Convertible is going extremely well, but there’s still a long way to go.
Also, in 12 days I fly to the US to attend the Buick Nationals at Strongsville OH, then I’m doing a 3 week road trip from Seattle to LA visiting mostly 1941 Buick owners I’ve met via social media etc. I cant wait!

Hey Grant, great to hear from you again!
Your friends car sounds amazing… And what a rare machine!
I’m very glad you’re getting a chance to do a tour like that this summer… Sounds like you’re gonna have an amazing time
Finally, I’m so glad to hear your project is doing well. They always take a long time, but I guess in a way that’s part of the fun!
      All the best to you

JB is 100% correct; don't fool around trying to revive old parts. I tossed more "serviceable" parts, according to the pundits, when I rebuilt my '40 Ford Deluxe Coupe. I don't have the time or inclination for redo's. Do it once, do it right, move on and never worry about it again.
JB should check into 100 low lead avgas. It's likely less expensive in his area than race gas and just as available. It has th added benefit of a tiny amount of lead for the valve seats.

I will pass that on. Would love to know where to get it. Thanks 🙏

    Magnificent!
Just imagine sneaking this car into a busy modern dealership service department… the mechanic comes back from lunch and goes under the car… what the? Where is all the plastic? Where is all the miles of crap wiring?? Wait, there is actual quality and craftsmanship here.

Thank you! Your description of a modern tech walking under a car like that made me laugh
And maybe that point about plastic is probably the biggest thing, somehow these cars have such a pure design and still really don’t weigh as much as people think.
Great to hear from you, have a great day

@@BarryTsGarage I have been part of a club that uses a large train station for an annual event. One time we had to push some very fine classic cars out of the lobby. I was surprised a Lincoln K or a Cadillac V16 were not that bad to push. A modern SUV is a lot harder to get rolling.
