House holding up the cleaver was what got me to realize it was just a Hallucination but everything before that i thought he was just being House with his sarcastic over-the-top "i'm trying to scare the living daylights out of my patient" behavior.

I’m not gonna lie I kind of feel like house would be a much more legally sound show if they just had a private investigator on file for the team so they didn’t have to break into peoples homes and they could just have this dude go out and get the information 😂😂😂

It's like this for all these shows. C.I. shows make it like the people doin the tests are directly connected to the investigation and investigators. They are not.
Same thing here, if a medical team requires something, they send someone else and so on and so forth.
Yeah but the guy wouldn't know everything to look for like a doctor would.

I would suggest reading some manga and or manhwa that focus on medicine. There are some good ones out there even if they have some weird stuff in them like time travel and such.

Plus infections, plus metastatic cancer, plus hormonal imbalances, plus drugs, plus parasites, plus toxics. It's just an inaccurate statement all around.
Back in differential, House notes he never thought it was cancer but thought it acted like cancer. Now he wants to find something that is similar to cancer, and notes the last patient was using methotrexate for his arthritis, which allegedly would also have treated any cancer.... House goes to see Cuddy and shows her Apple's CAT scan. It indicates something is in there that her brain is not compensating for. House believes that the donor had cancer stem cells spread in his organs, and when transplanted these spread and attached themselves to the recipients' various organs, which eventually stopped working... the doctors finish the operation, using a neural net on Apple's brain to detect and remove defective brain cells.
Later, House goes to visit Apple and explains that the world is ugly but not as ugly as she thought. Her brain was not working properly and the transplanted brain cells were making things dull and unattractive to her. He takes off the bandages over her eyes and Apple sees the world with normal vision.

I like that the cleaver turned out to be a hallucination. But none of us thought for even a second that it wasn't real.
I knew as soon as foreman said we need to remove the eye it was a hallucination he'd never say anything like that I even said that before house sorry I just happy I got one before house with out watching the clip
Its not House pulling cleaver that gave it away as a hallucination. Its Foreman remaining chill while he does.
Felicia Day is such a great actress. I was just thinking that she should be in Star Wars, but she is about to be in a Star Wars cartoon.. She should be in the films.

I love House. I hate how TV shows use defibrillators. They're not designed to "shock a heart back into beating". They defibrillate it. When its fibrillating the heart is twitching or beating irregularly, preventing the heart from having a regular/survivable natural heartbeat rhythm. Usually because the autonomous nervous system is failing because the brain is dying. Its typically a chicken vs egg sitaution when it comes to which stopped first (heart or brain, and the only way to tell is to know the diagnoses or see the inflicting incident).
You shock it to stop the fibrillation, defibrillating it, and then immediately began CPR to try and get the heart into a functional natural rhythm. All he's doing hear is properly killing the patient by stopping the heart from having any chance at beating naturally by over contracting it. Thats why it should also be roughly 2 minutes between shocks.

Fun thing about people - we all believe that until we’re in the situation.
And nobody is good in this scenario. Best case, maybe coma guy, but Taub is a spineless coward, the wife is judgemental, and the lady patient is desperate and selfish.
People are people. Warts and all.
I agree with phastinemoon, wait till the sitation is desparate, you have probably seen movies where there is a catastrophe and one person does something extremely stupid and desperate in the moment, and i'm sure most people will laugh at that person till the situaiton actually happens.

Aren’t there set intervals between using the defibrillator? (It might be part of the patient’s hallucinations, though. Don’t remember this part of the episode.)
I think that might be a hallucination because the defibrillator needs to get back to charge i think, i also haven’t seen the episode

You're only supposed to defibrillate someone once every 2 minutes, with CPR in between.

Medical dramas almost never accurately portray proper protocol fordoing CPR or using defibrillators. Once you know how they're _supposed_ to work, it gets kind of painful.
I remember having hallucinations while in the hospital for my car accident. Those drugs they give you can really put you in a high mood because they will make you feel good and next thing you know, you’re very sick to your stomach and then your throwing up 🤮 from the drugs they give you in your IV, shots or medications they give you.
I’m willing to bet House wants to “cut the wire” with every patient he comes across.

Takes bilateral lesions of the temporal lobe to erase memory. Feel like that really narrows it down to some kind of toxic substance, because an infection that large and invasive would affect everything in the brain by that point, and no ischemia would ever cause systemic issues that wide ranging in that many people. Never seen the episode, so have no idea what they find out (all though the mercury thing sounds like an interesting candidate, but I don't know the whole story of how they are all connected).

@@gobblinal I'm bls certified acls don't have a set interval they need to recharge and after the set of compressions that's when you give another shock so the fact that they did more than one in the span of a couple of seconds is unrealistic
If you see right before the pads get handed off the girl is the only thing in focus and then she's shown holding her head, I'm pretty sure after the first jolt she's hallucinating, replaying the sounds in her mind out of shock
