  • This is the full test piece from the recent call change comp held at South Brent, Devon, Six bells, Tenor 13-2-12 in F, rehung & tuned by Taylor's in1937. I think they are an exceptionally good six. I hope you enjoy listening. We were given 12 faults.

Absolutely fantastic ringing. A pleasure to listen to, so consistent and well held together. I honestly couldn't spot the faults. A real credit to the exercise. I'd love to get some coaching on striking from you all one holiday in Devon.

Is this course 20 all over? Where each bell goes up to the back and then into lead and back to their home positions.

Why in this area of the country don't you leave a gap on the leading bell's handstroke? Does that apply only to method rather than change ringing?

Hi Robin, it has always been the Devon Call change way to leave no hand stroke gap, but they do ring like this in parts of Yorkshire, for our type of ringing it is what gives it rhythm.
