Jimmy Barnes is my absolute favourite singer, have seen him live so many times, both solo and with Cold Chisel. The guitarist in this video is Jimmy's brother in law, Johnny Diesel. Diesel is an amazing artist in his own right and usef to have a band - Johnny Diesel and the injectors. You should check out Jimmy Barnes and Joe Bonamassa doing Stone Cold 🔥

As a proud Aussie I believe anything that Farnsey or Barnsey sing is well worth a listen. My old school song fav however is Otis singing Dock Of The Bay. With over 25 thousand km of coastline, we have our fair share of Jetties aka docks to sit on and enjoy the crystal clear waters of Australia. Loved your reaction Mate. 🦘

Our fantastic Aussie boys. Thanks George. There are a few live versions of this going around, which are phenomenal. Jimmy is our Soul & Blues King, and of course John is the G.O.A.T. and can sing any genre. They are great mates. John has been married to his wife for 51 years. John was great in duets, he made them collaborations not competitions. More shoulder to shoulder than toe to toe. This one was Jimmy's idea for his Soul Deep album.

This official video ended in John not remembering his address when the Taxi was taking him home (the crystal glasses give a clue as to why).
In particular, I love their live version (Hey, Hey it's Saturday show), even more 'mate ship' & talent appreciation from both of them.

@@GeorgeTheCloudThis is a very good tip from Margaret for you. You mentioned that you could imagine a third singer in the mix - well in the Hey Hey It’s Saturday version you’ll hear Diesel joining in near the end. The three of them sing ‘a capella’ and it’s fantastic!
@@GeorgeTheCloud The combo of all three acapella during the live performances is spectacular. As good as this version is, the live performance makes this appear pedestrian.
John and Tom did duo together also toured together as well

John, Jimmy and Diesel (on guitar) are complete legends. All have huge careers in Australia, and I think you can easily see why.
Not matter how many times I hear this version, I get blown away. I wish they had done more together.
I know what you mean about the singers today. I don't think I am the only one who finds it hard to tell who is singing a song - all the voices sounds the same.... no rawness, emotion and individually like the way it would have been around this songs release. All too touched up and auto tuned. Sad really 😕

When reacting to John Farnham, Jimmy Barnes, Cold Chisel, they should be live performances as they are a show in themselves. The guitarist is Jimmy's brother inlaw. Johnny Diesel is a legend in his own right. This is a Sam and Dave cover song from 1968. Jimmy a few years ago did a duet with Sam singing Soothe Me.

The best version is always the Live in concert, certainly for John and I the also Jimmy.
Barnsey (Jimmy Barnes) is the main lead singer of Cold Chisel (Ian Moss also does lead, as well a lead guitar). Look up the live performance of them singing this, where Diesel also sings with them in one part. Chisel songs to watch are Khe Sanh, Bow River, Flame Trees, to name just a few. If u haven't seen John Farnham (Farnsey) sing Help or You're The Voice, then look for the live versions. Will blow u away.
Their LIVE in CONCERT video at the Australian Recording Industry Association(ARIA) Awards is much better.
