    I bough this exact watch GULFMASTER 2 years ago at TJMaxx for $295 at firs I though that there was something wrong with the watch, but after i check all the functions everything works perfect, and it is being working really good since then! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!

    I think the lack of depth sensor wasn't a compromise on the Rangeman as it's not made for marine environments like the Gulfmaster and the Frogman are.

    G shock fanboy since the 1980’s. Started by buying them for the looks and toughness, then found out about features. Finally, ended up with a gwg1000mh for its specific orange arms and triple sensor analog….and the blackout rangeman for its digi version with triple sensor. Now wanting a web-q1000gb for its quad sensor gulfmaster with gold for a bit of bling and class all while still being g shock tough….and offering quad sensor tech!

    • @StardustLegacyFighter
      @StardustLegacyFighter 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I prefer the Mudmaster as it's much tougher, and I also have the Frogman, which is much more durable.

  • @davidproudfoot6668
    @davidproudfoot6668 ปีที่แล้ว

    Casio have never mastered alignment of the second hand with the outer-ring second markers for their analog range of watches. This is probably why the minute and second hands are shorter than you would normally see on a premium Swiss watch. Don't get me wrong, I do love G-Shocks but wish Casio would fix this one day. That's just about it! Great Video.

    • @WatchGeek
      @WatchGeek  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      With their premium line, Oceanus they mastered the alignment better than the Swiss. But you pay a price like buying Swiss 😁

    • @traviswalker8933
      @traviswalker8933 ปีที่แล้ว

      The alignment is spot on when you compare it to the likes of Seiko and Citizen quartz watches which miss the mark sometimes when you observe the seconds hand.

    IP coatings on bezel render it a no go. I had another Casio with that and scratch badly first day and you can never get the scratches out. It’s simply not a durable finish and will get scratched sooner or later unless you surround yourself with cotton wool. For such an expensive watch, that’s a fail Casio.

    Not to hate... But I think all of these oversized, ana-digi "full of sensors which I won't use like ever" Master of G watches have nothing on classic screwback square Gs (DW/GW5000 series) lasting decades... For me, they just don't look as durable and as good as screwback Gs, (maybe the frogman i guess). There was a thread on watchuseek, where guy broke the lugs on rangeman when he was doing handstand. like? really? So much for Master of G....

    How does it handle salt water

    • @WatchGeek
      @WatchGeek  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Like any other water, bit it's always good to rinse it in fresh water after that

    • @KimonFrousios
      @KimonFrousios 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Even scuba equipment needs to be washed/soaked in fresh water after use.
      Marine-grade stainless steel eventually does stain. Also salt crystals build up in the difficult-to-access corners of equipment, which may not damage plastics/resins but it does look ugly/dirty and can interfere with mechanical moving parts.

    I don´t care what any "paid to say" Seiko engineer says. It´s a proven fact that sapphire cracks or shatters if it receives a strong impact. Mineral glass won´t.

    • @StardustLegacyFighter
      @StardustLegacyFighter 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's typical that you conveniently ignore the thickness of Sapphire Glass when comparing it to Mineral Glass.
      At the same thickness, they have around the same impact resistance.
      Why on Earth would Casio bother putting Sapphire Glass on their premium Master of G watches if it's less impact resistant than Mineral Glass?
      Educate yourself about material science, instead of clinging on to the same lies about Sapphire Glass, just because you're mad that your precious Rangeman uses Mineral Glass.
