The farmers confused me the first time I saw Carcassonne and I stayed away. Now I am back and seeing you guys helped me understand it more. I saw the road you didn't count right away, so thanks for testing us and seeing if we were ready to level up.
I'm new to the hobby but have heard a lot about carcasonne even when i knew nothing about board games. It was great seeing you guys play through this, and loved the goofy/fun vibes of this playthrough. Keep doing what you're doing gents!
I absolutely love Carcassonne. I do believe at 15:30 Mike counted points for Nicks city incorrectly. the city is 5 tiles + 1 shield x 2 points each = 12 not 14.
My favorite part of Carcassonne is pulling tiles from different stacks and trying to find the good stack where everyone keeps stealing all the tiles I need
Great to see some love given to this game. Simple, elegant this is a great gateway game and an evergreen for me... sometimes you just want a chill game of Carcassonne XD
Loved the video! Great to see y’all going back to give some love to some older games Love to see some quirky circuits, Sonora or just throw down with a few bouts of unmatched!
I enjoy watching your aythrough especially before i host the gane at gane night. Wasn't 16:07 an illegal farmer placement? That field wraps around the lake and is all the same as one you already have a farmer on?
Nvm, you caught it lol. I can't imagine being able to rewind and scrutinize your every mistake. Lol easy to do in games and I know I make a bunch! When I play solo I often am like, wait, howd I do that because no one is there to call me out Lol. Accidents happen
i've just spotted something that i'm not sure is it correct or not, but if i'm wrong please excuse me On 23:00 he can't collect the points from the Monastery because he don't have all 8 tiles around it (because it's not end game scoring phase), because now he has 1 meeple maybe it's not important in this specific scenario, but in differrent game setup 1 meeple can worth somebody's win if this is some sort of house rule then it's different story
Late comment, first time watching this video but what happened when he took back the piece from the monastery at 23:00 it was an abbot piece. Abbots can be removed if you don't place down a meeple, thus scoring x amt of points that the monastery has. Abbots can only be placed in gardens and monasteries.
Great content on the channel. Can you guys make a list of the best language independent games. I play with a bunch of friends that don't speak English and I can only get them to play games that are language light or completely language independent. Enjoy Halloween!
I read the other day that the original starting tile should either be mixed into the river or placed as soon as the river is complete. What do you guys do?

Welcome aboard!
It is so hard to not backseat drive in Carcasonne. Nice game.

so Mike actually won by 2 :)
Yeah I'm just gonna delete this comment now.......... ;)
mike would have had 8 more points from the meeple he did not realize completed a road that he could have used on 2 4 point cities on the west side
I agree, rules say you count the tiles that are part of the cities, not the city parts that are connected.

21:35 the fact you got three corner pieces in a row and could’ve claimed the road above the river to get a meople back is driving me insane
What can we say, we’re people pleasers
I know this is an old video, but I was literally talking and side chair playing....also a little yelling and forhead slapping. Great video.
Ha! Glad you enjoyed it!
My all time favorite and most played game. My wife has gotten me all the expansions over the years for presents.
That's so cool!

It's so goooooooooood
25:19 It was east. He said earlier that his road was going south, meaning from his perspective taking a left meant going east.
Loved the video though.
Dang! You're right!
very good camera work, nearly no one has a non-digital game with any expansions playthrough.
Loved the video! Great to see y’all going back to give some love to some older games

at 15:40 that's scored wrong - you only count each castle card once, if it's part of the same castle. So the score is 12, not 14.
I really enjoyed this video!
I enjoyed this, please consider doing it with other games!
My favorite classic ❤️
Watching your strategy and tactics is very informative, despite what you might think. 😉😉😉
Showing people pictures of the extant walled city might have been neat.
Thank you! Great introduction to the game 👍🇺🇦

It we pulled off a meeple and scored before the monastery was completely surrounded then yeah that was a boo boo

This is one of the best games. But not enough catapult
please do a rematch with more expansions, mega carcassonne style!
We have dreams of doing this! Hoping it happens some day!

oh that's interesting! we haven't ever tried that but I suppose there isn't any reason not to include it so we might have to give that a try.
I would love to see Xenoshyft get played!
The last two River tiles were placed incorrectly. The River should always flow 'down'.
Oops
