If the team building will be similiar to PGR, teams are going to be mono element of tank (def shred), support/amplifier (healer/dmg amp) and DPS. If it will follow that template, the supports/amplifiers and tanks will have immense value (that is if the power creep for them will be as slow as in PGR, which is VERY slow).
I think they're veering away from the mono-elemental composition. I think the team building in WW will be dictated by the buffs and debuffs from skills, Ults, and intro or outro skills as well as echoes. I think this is great as it prevents early powercreep and makes team building more varied and fresh.
Wuthering is basically Genshin, dude. It's so blatantly similar that i think it's impossible for any content creator doing Genshin to NOT have tried it haha.

(or i guess encore as she is known as now.) they're both so cute, i will definitely be going for both. :D you can find plenty of clips of her gameplay out there if you want to see it more.

What's even more awesome about Yinlin is she can also function as an off-field sub dps which revolves around marking enemies, once marked she can switch out and continue dealing damage or when on-field she can attack a target even when out of range

I haven’t played any of the CBTs but what I heard and seen is that some CCs are sleeping on Verina. She’s an off field healer and dmg booster that will come in handy in ENDGAME. I can’t wait for the global launch of this game.

@@Sam_Sherpa some from what I seen, a healer is absolutely nessery, unless you plan to dodge and parry every attack, which is way too difficult to do. The shop in the beta, allow you to buy 2 “constellations” of a limited 5 star character for every banner, so you can always get a “c2” character. Also the different between 5 star and 4 star is pretty massive just from base stat alone, an example is that at level 60, a 4 star(danjin) base attack is 173 and compare to a 5 star(jiyan) which is 288. Pretty much a 66% different. Echo could also a way to whale since the grinding in this game will be much more then genshin. If you want best you can get for dps at the start, jiyan is the best and calcharo is second best. If you want best sub dps then it yinlin and sanhua, they are tied imo. Best healer is Verina. But my advice is to focus on getting verina first, since u don’t have to go so hard for the dps, since they will get powercrept way sooner then healer

@@Sam_Sherpa ye during beta jianxin was easily the best character to pull for, since she is a Jack of all trade(but she really just so good that it didn’t make sense for her to be a jack of all trade), but with the confirm buff to verina that will come once game releases, she took over as the best character, jianxin easily second now tho
I havent been keeping up much with Wuthering waves to avoid getting tired of it before it actually comes out, But all i can see on her kit is she literally what QiQi should of been more like. Being able to straight up mark enemies to deal BONUS DAMAGE whenever ANYONE hits them and also heal at the same time is literally a Install-type drain to slap on a enemy, aka the good kind. Also basically having a more creative way to handle a `deny death` passive by applying a shield while dodging the fatal injury sounds way more better in terms of design. Plus throw in another measure for healing just thru heavy attacks alongside it being a energy battery type of move just continues my disappointment in how genshin really screwed up early on and WW now reminds me why copium is never a good thing because WW proves even the so-called pioneer of a genre on a particular platform can do much better to make even its day 1 units last long into the future. I dont even know how much power scaling wuthering waves will do over the year, but having around 2-3 means to heal, means to apply a % attack buff, a means to recover party-wide Energy for ultimates i assume and even add extra bonus damage to enemies by simply hitting them sounds like loads of fun... Especially if its a per hit situation and no specific attacks are blocked off, meaning any unit that can deal a ton of hits, could possibly go ape-shite with it, if it doesnt take into the account of damage each attack does that triggers this bonus damage. With the final touch up being an attack buff just is nice in general and make me definitely hope i get her, since i dont like to play the reroll game since im not a fan of constantly remaking accounts for the sake of my sanity.

All i can see is if the kit is actually solid and the baseline is like Benny from Genshite impact, then that means even if they power creep with `better healers`, then atleast the `baseline hand me out year 1 healers` should likely still be good in general and make it that much easier to `save up` then forced to burn money to `keep up`. Solid basis will always be better then purposely sabotaging the fk outta `hand me out units` to make it easier on the developers to release slightly better gacha only units. This is why i will always prefer a game of innovation over much other things. Anyway i got other things to focus on like FF16 got its Leviathan DLC today and GBF:Relink should get its `hopefully burn out removal patch` next week to enjoy then copium cling on a game that is still a month out and i purposely avoided digging deep into Wuthering waves stuff to avoid early burn out and to avoid a hyper reliance on `content foresight` which tends to further burn out and panick attack many people i would say into not liking the game alot swifter, even if its a `much better game` by the standards of the most popular games of that same genre category.
Quick question: If the game has parry/dodge mechanics, would Verina not be good for late game? Early game I would understand as youd get hit because you dont know the attack patterns, but once everything is dodge-able wouldnt healing be useless? There might be some debuffs that may make her usable, like straight-up unavoidable attacks, enviroment hasards that drain your HP, etc. Ans even if that doesn't happen, she may still be useful in the late game for those players with low reflexes, or just for the buffs she provides. Still, a healer is a healer, something that shouldn't be underestimated that easily.

I'm excited for Wuthering Waves! I've played PGR before, still am now and I enjoy the combat they designed there! When the time comes to play the game I think I'll skip out on rolling on the early banners so that I have currency to roll for whatever would be good when the community is able to establish what the standards of a great unit would be.
9:08 No, those are for the other 2 member who will likely be supports. Supports in wuwa seem to incentivized staying on the field more and they seem to do actual damage similar to PGR format so these effects would still make sense even on a attacker unit
My plan as a f2p: 1- Reroll on jiyan's banner and lose 50/50 to either verina or calcharo. 2- Select verina or calcahro from beginner banner depending on who you're missing. 3- Pull for guaranteed yinlin when her banner is released. 4- Enjoy your husbando/waifu/daughter meta team. EDIT: I finally got it guys. After a whole day rerolling. I got verina fom the disounted beginner banner, and calcharo on the third pull on jiyan's banner so my yinlin is now guaranteed 🥰. I didn't even need to use the 5* selector 😅.
@@Isshin007 Yes, he is strong. Jiyan has one the most broken ultimates in the game. He does a lot of aoe dmg and he automatically parry attacks. At the end of the day, it would depend more on what character you like the most and what play style you prefer. So pull for whoever you like more.
I really hope this game takes off, I love Genshin and Star Rail, but it would be nice to actually have a game that can sustain itself with it's own fanbase and not just "tourist players" who experiment with it and leave. The devs seem to be listening to the community, so hopefully it will work out

for Rover's outro skill, does the chance of parry retained (the circle thing) when the time stops for a moment? like perfectly do outro when the circle parry indicator comes out and then you hit. just curious might not be good at parrying so ill see any possibility i get lol

Is Jiyan worth getting? i mean if he is really strong, because i literally havent seen anybody talking about him in these videos, all eyes are in Verina
If you like Jiyan, get him fr, in this game evading attacks and parrying is more important than having an OP character. But Jiyan is so strong anyways and his attacks hit so many times that makes parries easier to do correctly.
I'm not saying this video is an offender of what I'm about to say (since for the moooost part it seems like just a preliminary recommendation for new, unaware players, which is fair), but I just want to say this now: I really hope this game and its community does not go in the same direction as... other games, and centre itself around tier lists, damage, and meta. One of the most major reason I'm interested in Wuthering Waves is to escape the typical "how much damage across all sources can I stack on my characters to clear everything as fast as possible" and instead opt more towards a skill based playstyle, i.e. it doesn't really matter who you play if you can't dodge, your team will get destroyed anyway. I'm really tired of being told I have to play X characters or Y team or Z build if I want to "clear content." I'm not the kind of person who's willing to just play any character for sake of damage, I want to play who I want to play, and optimize my characters' builds within that scope as well as I possibly can. Thankfully, aside from this game's "abyss" (which I really couldn't care less about lmao I hate timed DPS checks), it really does seem like this game is going in that direction. Both Illusive Realm (closest equivalent I'm seeing is HI3rd's Elysian Realm I guess) and the Hologram bosses, while there is a certain base level of stat-check and need for DPS/strategy (enough to feel the need to make oneself stronger but not enough to make one forced to play things they don't want to), there is far more emphasis put on player skill rather than meta builds or teams. I'm seriously hoping for this game to continue in this direction and make tier lists only a rough and loose guideline and not content-clear defining. Personally, I'm going to be playing whoever I want however I want, and make it work for me no matter what. I've learned from past experience that being pressured by meta to succeed in a game is just not fun for me. I hope for once in a gacha game, player skill is prioritized over how well the player can stick to meta builds/characters. On another note, I sort of hope they don't make any other character have the stasis ability in future, so that MC is the one character that always has a unique ability and is never directly replaced, even if there might be better alternatives. I think that would be kind of interesting personally.

I'm excited for Wuthering Waves! I've played PGR before, still am now and I enjoy the combat they designed there! When the time comes to play the game I think I'll skip out on rolling on the early banners so that I have currency to roll for whatever would be good when the community is able to establish what the standards of a great unit would be.
I like how verina is considered as a 'meme' character but she's the most broken support and the best unit among the 5* standard banner.
9:08 No, those are for the other 2 member who will likely be supports. Supports in wuwa seem to incentivized staying on the field more and they seem to do actual damage similar to PGR format so these effects would still make sense even on a attacker unit

1- Reroll on jiyan's banner and lose 50/50 to either verina or calcharo.
2- Select verina or calcahro from beginner banner depending on who you're missing.
3- Pull for guaranteed yinlin when her banner is released.
4- Enjoy your husbando/waifu/daughter meta team.
EDIT: I finally got it guys. After a whole day rerolling. I got verina fom the disounted beginner banner, and calcharo on the third pull on jiyan's banner so my yinlin is now guaranteed 🥰. I didn't even need to use the 5* selector 😅.

Yes, yinlin's pull value is superior to jiyan's.
But you have to pair her with calcharo.

Yes, he is strong.
Jiyan has one the most broken ultimates in the game. He does a lot of aoe dmg and he automatically parry attacks.
At the end of the day, it would depend more on what character you like the most and what play style you prefer.
So pull for whoever you like more.

I really hope this game takes off, I love Genshin and Star Rail, but it would be nice to actually have a game that can sustain itself with it's own fanbase and not just "tourist players" who experiment with it and leave. The devs seem to be listening to the community, so hopefully it will work out

jianxin also does good dps but can provide a shield and heal the party. I think she is another valuable pick IMO.
for Rover's outro skill, does the chance of parry retained (the circle thing) when the time stops for a moment? like perfectly do outro when the circle parry indicator comes out and then you hit. just curious might not be good at parrying so ill see any possibility i get lol
All I know is I'm for sure going to be a Yinlin/Baizhi main. Ice and lightning mommies are my biggest weakness haha

Is Jiyan worth getting? i mean if he is really strong, because i literally havent seen anybody talking about him in these videos, all eyes are in Verina
If you like Jiyan, get him fr, in this game evading attacks and parrying is more important than having an OP character. But Jiyan is so strong anyways and his attacks hit so many times that makes parries easier to do correctly.

I'm not saying this video is an offender of what I'm about to say (since for the moooost part it seems like just a preliminary recommendation for new, unaware players, which is fair), but I just want to say this now: I really hope this game and its community does not go in the same direction as... other games, and centre itself around tier lists, damage, and meta.
One of the most major reason I'm interested in Wuthering Waves is to escape the typical "how much damage across all sources can I stack on my characters to clear everything as fast as possible" and instead opt more towards a skill based playstyle, i.e. it doesn't really matter who you play if you can't dodge, your team will get destroyed anyway.
I'm really tired of being told I have to play X characters or Y team or Z build if I want to "clear content." I'm not the kind of person who's willing to just play any character for sake of damage, I want to play who I want to play, and optimize my characters' builds within that scope as well as I possibly can.
Thankfully, aside from this game's "abyss" (which I really couldn't care less about lmao I hate timed DPS checks), it really does seem like this game is going in that direction.
Both Illusive Realm (closest equivalent I'm seeing is HI3rd's Elysian Realm I guess) and the Hologram bosses, while there is a certain base level of stat-check and need for DPS/strategy (enough to feel the need to make oneself stronger but not enough to make one forced to play things they don't want to), there is far more emphasis put on player skill rather than meta builds or teams.
I'm seriously hoping for this game to continue in this direction and make tier lists only a rough and loose guideline and not content-clear defining.
Personally, I'm going to be playing whoever I want however I want, and make it work for me no matter what. I've learned from past experience that being pressured by meta to succeed in a game is just not fun for me. I hope for once in a gacha game, player skill is prioritized over how well the player can stick to meta builds/characters.
On another note, I sort of hope they don't make any other character have the stasis ability in future, so that MC is the one character that always has a unique ability and is never directly replaced, even if there might be better alternatives. I think that would be kind of interesting personally.
Shielder, healer, or any off field dps should be top tier
