The mousse and gel freshers looks amazing! In dry Colorado things be tough refreshing for low porosity wavy curlies so I’m going to give Cake a try again, gracias!!!
You are my hair type twin!!! I loved your week in my hair video from 2020 and I would be super interested to see you do that type of video with your longer hair. Thank you for the techniques and product recommendations!
i’ve used all three of these products too! i love seeing other people try it too! by day 3 or 4 i don’t bother refreshing i just style it differently- clips or buns. it’s great seeing what you do though! the leave-in spray by briogeo is great as well! i agree a spray gets way more even coverage
Omg I totally agree, on most of my 4th days, I opt for hairstyles. But I wanted to show that if you wanna extend your wash days and revive your waves/curls, it is absolutely possible😊 And thanks for the Briogeo rec! I gotta give it a try❤️
Wow I loved this, so informative for refreshing hair! Maybe more techniques on how u sleep on hair? My curls don’t last as long and I often have to refresh more often or have more wash days (which is too time consuming).
HAHAA scrunching out the crunch wasn’t even considered a thing back then, right?🤣 I still get flashbacks of me in middle school piling Garnier Fructis mousse and feeling like the hottest thing in town with my crunchy ass waves😭🤣🤣🤣
@@NemesisMarie if you didn’t have the wet look, you weren’t shit. Lol! But it was the whole look. You had on the black T, the necklaces, the scrunchie around your wrist. It was like I was sitting around the lunch table in seventh grade all over again. 🥺😂
the cake mousse is my fav, i love how fluffy the end result looks. i was surprised it didn't give you any cast, it usually leave me with a very strong cast!
Hii Nemesis 🇵🇷! Love ur videos … personally my hair has no curls orrr defined waves hahaha 🤣 im trying to get some weird waves. Loved ur results with mousse! My hair stays wet forever things I have used is the not ur mothers gel and cream and Deva Curl leave in decadence but it was a mess hahaha my hair is very dry! Trying out that mousse to see
Hi love! Hmm…it sounds like you might be weighing your waves down with too much product, why don’t you try using the NYM curl cream (small amount), brush style it, and then coat a bit of gel on top. Also don’t forget to deep condition in the shower at least once a week to help with the dryness
It’s so helpful to see the before & after a w each product!! I think I’m gonna give mousse another try lmao Kinda unrelated but your last refresh reminded me: how can you tell the difference between build up frizz & dryness frizz?? I cannot figure it out & my hair has been constantly frizzy for weeks. What do I dooooo
Also! I have similar curls/waves to yours but I struggle with the underneath pieces they are super curly like 3a-3b curls. And they are really short. What do you recommend me to do. I kinda been clumping them with my other curls and that helps but they’re really dry still and always get tangled 😭
Hi babes! The brush I use is from the brand “Goody”, but I bought it years ago, I think I’ve only seen it recently in Amazon. And I’m regards to your underneath pieces, you might need to section them and style them differently than the rest of your hair. These pieces might need a bit extra cream than the rest of your hair to keep them moisturized, and don’t forget to seal them with oil at the end of your styling routine. ❤️
Do you have any tips for helping certain parts of my hair curl? My hair is high porosity except for this one section at the top that always falls flat and takes forever to dry
Tysm babes! And lol I haven’t given up on the bangs, I use them to the front mostly right after wash days cuz I take the time to style them, but for refreshes, I just push them to the sides lol🤣 And I used the same oil on every refresh: the Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil ❤️❤️
Hi babes! Omg “guru” 😂😂 Im honored 🥹❤️ And yes! I do diffuse when I refresh cuz I’m too impatient to wait for my hair to air dry haha, and I do it pretty similarly to how I do it on wash days☺️ and it usually takes even less time to dry than wash days since my hair is less wet👌🏽
By the way what porosity would you say your hair is? When you refresh with water (spritz water on your hair) it looks like mine. Water just beads up on the strands , I get confused what that means in terms of porosity :/ Edit: lmaooo just watched the part you mentioned low porosity 😂😂😂 nevermind!!
It does help with frizz, but make sure your hair is properly moisturized, because frizz is always a sign that your hair is trying to seek the moisture is lacking from the air.
Hey Nemesis! So by day 3 my curls are gone. I tried the mouse but by the end of the day my curls were gone. Any recommendations? Thank you! With love ❤️
Hey Nemesis, In your experience, can we get similar results air-drying hair after applying product, or do you think it's necessary to use a hair dryer with diffuser? Thanks for the great video!
Hi babes! So, diffusing is NOT necessary to achieve good results. BUUUUUT, does it make better?? Hell yes. Lol. Diffusing not only cuts the drying time, but it also adds volume and juicier looking clumps. There’s nothing wrong with air-drying, but I always recommend the wavies that watch me to eventually get themselves a good hairdryer/diffuser because in the long run, it’ll make their wash days easier.
@@NemesisMarie Thanks Nemesis! Is there a particular hair dryer/diffuser combo that you would recommend? I've heard Shark has a new one and Dyson gets a lot of hype, would love to hear your thoughts! 🥰
@@Sofia-kp8iw Thanks Sofia! I've heard good things about that diffuser too, but I would rather buy a hair dryer that comes with a good diffuser since I don't own a hair dryer 😉
Hey have you experienced stringy/greasy bangs and if so how did you deal with that? I always have to wash my hair way more often than I want to because my bangs are just so greasy. :(
I always get such good results on wash day but when I sleep no matter what I do, my hair gets all wonky or falls straight😩 then I basically refresh every day unless I just brush it out
❤️ 3:00 Refreshing with Cake 🎂 Mousse

This video finally compelled me to pick up the Cake Mousse - I used it today and it did not disappoint, thank you for that recommendation!
Omg it’s my current favorite mousse!! Literally never disappoints me🥰🥰
The cake moose looks really good! I need to try it after seeing how good it was in your hair! 🤩🤩

I haven’t tried that Cake mousse yet but I have their curl cream and it smells sooo good 🧁

@@NemesisMarie Thank you so much! I will be trying that out! I currently am using the denman brush but I would like to try that one, one day! 🥰
My issue with using gels is they make my face extremely oily. Any recommendation for oily skin friendly gels?
Do you have any tips for helping certain parts of my hair curl? My hair is high porosity except for this one section at the top that always falls flat and takes forever to dry
Have you tried brush styling that sectione and applying a bit of extra gel or mousse right before diffusing?
@@NemesisMarie Yeah and it's okay for a couple hours but falls straight after.
@@NemesisMarie try scrunching small areas of the trouble spots with small clips
What diffuser do you use : )
Hi my luv! The one I’m currently using is the one that comes with the Dyson Supersonic
Did you give up on the fringe??? What oil did you use for the gel refresh?
Also, I love your energy you give through your videos! ✨

Would the cake mousse be enough as a one styler? I want something low maintenance but my waves are looser so they need a little help
Yes! Just put a bit of leave-in conditioner first (focus it on your ends), and then use the Cake Mousse to add hold.
Hiya! Number 1: You're my guru.
Number 2: Do you always diffuse when you refresh? Is your diffusing method different on refresh days?

Hahaha yuppppp, water just be sitting there like “heyyyy✌🏽” it takes a WHILE for my hair to absorb it😭
Does the mouse help reduce frizz ? I don’t even care about definition or volume at this point I just do not want frizz 😫
It does help with frizz, but make sure your hair is properly moisturized, because frizz is always a sign that your hair is trying to seek the moisture is lacking from the air.
