    Oh my my, the crayola one blew my mind away! It is true what they say- it's the artist not the tools. Best wishes from Saudi Arabia

    My opinion:
    Crayola Markers: Yes, it can do some calligraphy effect. Creative.
    Tombow: You are probably talking about its Dual Brush Pen. Sell in Brazil and USA? What if I live in the rest of the world? And, some of its best things didn’t have been mentioned, like it has a very wide range of colors (currently it offers 100+ colors), and it is blendable by using Tombow’s blender brush pen.
    Copic Sketch: Yes, but I have noticed a thing that need to say: when flexed, the end of the tip will bend upwards. This is not great to do calligraphy.
    ‘Watercolor brush’: What is a watercolor brush? I could say, the two brush pens in this video, Tombow and Pentel, are watercolor brush pens too. Why? They can blend. On the other hand, your watercolor brush mentioned in this video is called water brush. It simply puts water, but can put watercolor in, too. But you need to make the watercolor in the pen not to thick while not to thin. Last, there are water brushes that uses felt tip. The Caran d’Ache water brush is an example.
    Pentel: It is the ‘Arts’ brush pen. The only thing that misses in the video is that since it is a watercolor brush pen, it can blend with another color.
    Pointed brush: The ink capacity depends on the brush style and the material of the bristles.

    • @jgoh534
      @jgoh534 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You could start by practising faux calligraphy with gel/ink pens first as brush pens cost more, and practising with them may take up more of your money. Master the writing techniques and strokes before getting a brush pen. For beginners, Tombow would be good. Or you could just buy a Tombow brush marker and practise with that. :)

    these arent so much styles as they're brands, tbh.
    i really missed the comparison between longer, softer bristols, "pulling" rather stable lines, and shorter, springier ones, like the kuretake bimoji fude, that are much more responsive to pressure, fan out wide, and tend to produce very dynamic and expressivel lines.

    Tf crayola markers are considered as brush pens??? Tf. If anything I thought they were just felt tip pens 🤔

    • @letterjack
      @letterjack  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're right, Crayola is just a felt tip pen, but as a lot of people use this to emulate a brush pen I decided to put on the list. I talk about this on 1:18 ;)
