    I installed this optic on a crossman 760 air rifle.I have now shot the riffle around 500 times during target/plinking practice, and the th-cam.com/users/postUgkxc4K63Fd5LglDMObu7-Bgapxp_ef0W8hE scope has done well.With this optic, I have neutralized around 30 pigeons that were invading one of my buildings.For my short range air rifle, I will continue to use this scope, but will be upgrading to a more powerful scope, when I buy a more powerful air rifle, in order to shoot at longer distance.For the money I have spent, this scope has truly been a great buy.

    Thank you for this great video. I always appreciate your mindset and ability to articulate what you’re doing and why.
    Sometimes us Americans lose sight of what hunting/stalking is all about and I find County Deer Stalking videos to be a good reminder.
    Cheers.

      Thanks Sandz, that's very gracious of you. I know of course, that the US has a proud hunting tradition. I think we can all loose sight of what its all about sometimes.

    The shot sorta looked like you hit the front left leg.

    • @peterjones4442
      @peterjones4442 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching. Well it certainly broke the front leg, and also entered the chest cavity for a strong bleed, hence it didn't get far and was recovered just over the fence.

    The title of this movie is "PERFECT 321m Heart Shot" - can I ask is that true that fallow deers have got hearts in legs? Because it looks that fallow deer was hit in its leg.

    • @CountydeerstalkingCoUk
      @CountydeerstalkingCoUk  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Janek, thanks for watching and for your comment. Its perfectly usual when a deer is shot in the shoulder for the front leg to break. You'll see when we recover the deer exactly where the shot exited - about a third of the way up the animal which is where you locate the heart. PS. If the truth be told, I was aiming a little higher, about a half of the way up, but hey, it did the job.

    I shot a bear last year with my 300 Norma mag at 400 yards was 5moa drop with a 220gr eldx bullet the bear jumped up collapsed and was stone dead. It was great expirience to watch all that In my scope but I also practiced out to 700 yards so 400 was like a walk in the park adter the practice. I found the toughest is to get proper ranger in my case near was right at a treeline across the field I could easily range em but in wide open files past 400-500 yards gets extremely tough if not impossible for ethical hunt

    • @CountydeerstalkingCoUk
      @CountydeerstalkingCoUk  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, its tricky sometimes to to ping your range finder of the actual animal. I have found my Swaro EL Range to be about the most accurate and its good out to beyond a 1000yds if memory serv's. At any rate, thanks for watching.

    Nicely done, but this doesn't mean you just buy this equipment and away you go, correct me if iam wrong I know from zeiss Asv you need to verify your and the equipment capabilities by down range test with the bullets you hunt with and at the ranges you are going to hunt at this takes time and practice , it all looks so easy when an professional dose it 👍

    • @peterjones4442
      @peterjones4442 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Thanks for recognising that. You are right, in all honesty its hours of background work, honing your equipment, checking zero and of course and practicing. Thanks for the comment and for watching.

    I shoot regularly at Bisley on 300m range and with my Z8i scope with a ballistic turret set for the bullet (each bullet has different fall properties) - I can put 6 shots in the bull - so the shot is highly viable - but still excellent shooting!

  • @gilesgildea897
    @gilesgildea897 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    How can you say it is stone dead when it is obvious you shot it low on the front leg? Is this video edited to hide a bad shot?.
    A reply would be appreciated!

    • @CountydeerstalkingCoUk
      @CountydeerstalkingCoUk  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Giles thanks for your comment, you'll see when we recover the dead animal that the shot placement was about a third of the way up the shoulder, its quite usual for a shot like that to break the front leg. Thanks for watching.

    • @gilesgildea897
      @gilesgildea897 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@CountydeerstalkingCoUk a third of the way up the leg is not a heart and lung shot, as you state in your video that it was a heart and lung shot! So which is it? Heart and lung or shoulder?!

      Thanks for the comment, very observant of you. When reviewing the footage I noticed myself that the animal looked slightly hunched. In fact the animal had just stood up a short time ago, my best explanation is that it must have been urinating/defecating , as they often do after a long period of repose. This can cause them to hunch up slightly.

    300wm at 300m mate you could double that and id be impressed with that round this is a easy shot , looked low should be doing neck shots show the animal shot ?? also dont slam ya ute door if you are trying to promote some hunting cse

    It's not a movie but just demo video don't take this long time for this shot.
    Swar. DS target point is not ultra accurate .
