Sometimes the local ones are the best. Not any easier because they’re close and never to be underestimated. Good to see the new tent getting a work out. 👍

Aye most of the local ones are virtually pathless too bar a quad path or a stalking route so they do make for a challenge. Always enjoy it when I’m able to walk from hone

@@Moffatmountainadventures it’s the same here, very little in the way of paths. Most are quad tracks for part or just make your own way, some challenging terrain out there. 😁

@@Moffatmountainadventures it’s the ticks that give me the issue. Must have had 40 this season.

Nice one Robert, lovely place where you stay. Been down Moffat way loads of times when I had my motorbike. Great road up to St Mary’s Loch.
Nice wee adventure on your back door, nice drone footage also.👍

I remember top gear voting that section of road in the top 10 in the uk at one point. Maybe not so much nowadays with the pot holes but when it’s smooth it’s a bikers paradise.
I can reach 3 corbetts from my door step if I put the miles which makes up for the lack of munros in my area. Something nice about putting the bag on from the doorstep and heading off. Cheers frank.

Great video Rob! Loved the drone footage and that pitch looked spot on. I can’t get on with the blow up pillows. I ended up going for a memory foam one from Decathlon. A bit of extra weight though but worth it for the comfort. I ended taking the inflatable part out of the Trekology pillow and then filled it with my down jacket and some other stuff to make it feel like a natural pillow. Seemed to work. All the best. Gav

I’m the same with pillows. I’ve been using that memory foam one for a while and I love but I just wanted to try and create more space in my bag with a smaller packing pillow. Don’t normally get on with blow up pillows but in this case it’s so comfy. There’s a few pitches in that valley I’ve been eyeing up, was fairly happy with it 😊cheers for watching gav

I do like it up that side overlooking the Blackhope valley, was it wet under foot then ? Hopefully I will get round to a camp sometime soon 😂 you are so lucky being able to walk from house to hill in minutes Rob . Atb Dave ⛺️👍

Aye minutes 😂😂. Yeah it is handy when you just wanna walk without worrying about where to park. It wasn’t bad underfoot. I’m still not happy with that pitch. Felt there’s better up there but I was having an issue with my heel so decided I’d best stop. Hopefully see you out soon Dave, Gimmie a shout if you want company
