Totally. Similar instruments and 0:45 has a similar melody. But I love the different direction this track takes at 01:35. The emphasis on the choir and the large bell hits make it so grandiose, almost saying "pay attention, something is affecting an entire civilization!".
I really wish ANET would patch the game to let us choose our character screen or make it based on our last character's story progress just so I can get this on a regular basis before logging in.
Every single time I hear this, Head to toe goosebumps. And at the end when the crescendos are happening I just start laughing because it so perfectly beautiful
It's games like this that make me wish there was some sort of technology that allowed our names to be understood and pronounced by ingame NPCs (correctly, none of that Microsoft Sam business :V) I mean it's nice later when you're simply called stuff like "Commander" or "Warmaster", but early on it's just "my friend here" or something along those lines. :c Still one of my favorite games of all time, though. And one of my favorite soundtracks for a game, ever.
My feeling was the end of a night engagement, holding a position against desperate odds, when the sun rises and shows the airship _Glory of Tyria_ breaking through the clouds as part of the relief force...
Ty ^^ I already cosplayed Squall Leonhart twice on GamesCom 2011 and 2012 ^^ Was an awesome experience, especially still so many peole recognizing him. Oh and next year will be the first time I have a Rinoa at my Side
And people get mad when I try to tell them that other, more popular games’ soundtracks aren’t “the greatest in the history of gaming.” Opinions are opinions, but often not without ignorance. Experience the full breadth of the world’s wonders before proclaiming empty, whimsical truths.
I've sat in the character creation screen for hours just listening to this
dat violin.................
Long live the Soule brothers!
Jeremy Soule is a man that consistently makes me cry.
The violin brings tears to my eyes. Bravo to the orchestra! Bravo!
The violin from 2:08 onwards is just freaking beautiful. So fragile.
Some parts of this one gives me a lot of Startgate SG-1 vibes, I like it! :D

"My name is Maeladriel. I am Sylvari. Our people appeared on Tyria 25 years ago..."

Magically uplifting to my spirit. Wonderful
Every single time I hear this, Head to toe goosebumps. And at the end when the crescendos are happening I just start laughing because it so perfectly beautiful

Been looking for this version, thanks!
1:35 O.o O.o O.o
Character creation screen. From ruin, we rise anew.
Also featured in the "Fractals of the Mists" intro cinematic. Which I think is epic.

Epicness
Why did they have to remove this from the game?:( -_-
It still plays as an alternate character select track. It is also in the Fractals of the Mists cinematic.
Crl Nv Character selection and creation
from 2:27 is just absolute genius
This song is awesome^•^
3:26 best part
The track when you're creating your character ;)

My top gaming soundtracks are gw halo and dark souls (especially ds3) those soundtracks are astounding
This, I say the same thing about gameplay design. Wonderfully said.
@@cyriell They're fantastic. I'm only commenting on the people who get upset LOL
