God, I remember when I first arrived in Kryta, way back in 2005. After all the time trudging through the ruins and the mountains, I finally felt at ease. A promised land, free and untouched, a new home. The music in this game is phenomenal.
Goodwin Funny how I relive them everyday but others cry around on here making others think the game is completely dead. Enough with the false claims... this game is still alive.
A different time. A different world. But most of all, it was us who truly were different. Nothing will ever bring that childhood innocence and sheer sense of wonder back after it's gone. Just enjoy those memories and be happy it happened. And if you feel that your eyes are tearing up, so be it :)
more commonly known as that song that was looping in the background for hours on end when sitting in temple of the ages spamming "Perma-sin A/E looking for UWSC with cons!"
Me too man, just the guild guys everybody tryna help each other out and giving advice. It was such a balanced game with the skill system and how everybody got their own build and such. So amazing I remember making the worst choices just because I was a noob and I was a kid. You gave me the feels man I just want to have that feeling agian go back in time and be there with the guys on guild wars
@@Xivinux I remember if you move your menus around during a trade with "Deposit Gold to Xunlai" menu hovering over the "Modify trade" button, you could click 3 times in a row to turn 1,000,000 gold to 1 and get free ectos.
This song reminds me of my cute little ranger Dorothy Wayneright fighting in Random Arenas and going all the way up to 20 consecutive wins. I was so proud of her; and I miss her so much! :)
I love the sound track by itself, but playing the game with this invokes bad memories of getting hurt a lot. It's been years since I played but this still makes a shiver go down my spine. It's a great soundtrack and a brilliant game. Even after all this time, I can't wait for Guild Wars 2.
Prophecies is the shit. Factions and Nightfall aren't the same feeling. Going trough pre-searing...watching the beautiful trees and grass of Ascalon and all the wonderful people, to then see it destroyed in pieces, people sad and many gone crazy.
i had the best time ever playing guildwars 3-4 years ago. the music is truely memorable, the graphics are pretty and the gameplay is so unique - fantastic.
Holy shit I was looking for this for so long in gw2's soundtracks, couldn't find it anywhere. Never knew they used music from the first game (never played it)
This has to be one of the greatest soundtracks for any game ever made, its just amazing. Jeremy is a fucking amazing composer and I have yet to be disappointed by anything that he has composed. This was the first song of Guild wars I actually listened/payed attention to, was PvPing on my ranger and would always /dance to this : ). Thanks for uploading this and bringing back the great memories from this fantastic game.
Omg thank you so much for posting this mate! Ive been looking for this :D Brings back memories of running around in Kryta when I started with Gw 4 years ago :( Thx so much.
Even after years and years, after GW is closed down eventually perhaps, we will always have the wonderful music, that's one thing I'll cherish amongst the memories too.
Oh my god i love listening to Guild Wars music, it's so beautiful and relaxing and when i close my eyes i remember when i played it.... It's just that i had to get my computer re-formatted and now Guild Wars doesn't recognise my account D; I really want Guild Wars back!!!!
Just started playing Guild wars again. Primarily EotN. So many memories of the first character I ever made. So sad that barely anyone plays in the GW1 regions. Most of the people I see are in EotN regions.
playing guild wars since day1 i had a break for some months last year because of aion, but in the end i went back to gw its just amazing how that game has that certain something
This brings back memories that i forgot like the time in kryta when you have to defend that temple from the undead and being chased by ettins with their huge clubs. Jeremy Soule made Guildwars, all those memorys were perfected by his music.
This is the soundtrack that was made for Guild wars (1), not GW2, where there is a warp hub to go to the main cities, you have to get there on your own before fast travel can be used :)
i read that GW2 is unknown when its going to be released, and at the earliest its going to be the fall of 2011, or spring 2012... so i still got time to enjoy GW awesome scenery and music ^ ^
That moment when you realise that you don't even play the games. And if I do I do it to explore the soundtrack haha... This OST is great. Jeremy Soule is a real genius!
It's really too bad more people won't get to play this game. Playing Prophecies for the first time was amazing, even though it was pretty tough with just henchmen all the time. I already miss it.
I can't wait for GW2. Honestly, tears of joy and excitement come to my eyes when I think of Guild Wars 2 being released. I'm gonna lose all my friends, LOL.
I miss the old days. When going to fow was so hard ... When those who had the fow armor were consider like gods of GW. I so much enjoyed this game when there was only the first of the serie. I also remember my first guilds. I met so much people who made this game so great. Now Guild Wars the first of the name is doomed. Too much guys who didn't know this and that cannot understand what we are feeling when we hear this song. I look forward for GW2. Nostalgia when hearing this song btw.
Woah, I was just listening to the Howard Shore soundtrack, and I think it's in the Return of the King soundtrack that has a song that resembles this (Or this resembling it) soo much. Wow.
We BONDED with GW1.... and cannot betray our wife for GW2... im playing GW2 now to the end for the story...but yea...dissapointed. Only positive: Story and graphics, the art and regions are still extremely beautifull. REMEMBER PVP area?? i chilled there for hours, hooking up with girls!.
yeah if I remember correctly, they were worth at least 50k platinum back then. Same thing happened to me, became so rich farming in those early days lol.
Yeah, this is one of my favorite GW songs, if not my favorite. Although I think I might have heard it first on the character screen, I didn't really notice it until I randomly turned on the music during the Riverside Province mission. So pretty... and vaguely sad. Though what's with the extra minute+ of silence at the end? O_o
This is the only reason why I love Guild Wars. I became addicted to this game because of its soundtrack. I turned off the volume and I started to hate this game. I came back and I turned the volume back on and started loving it again. There is no other explanation.
Incredible soundtrack, and painfully nostalgic. Man. Simpler times for all of us I'm sure.
Opposite. Simpler now, more complicated back then.
God, I remember when I first arrived in Kryta, way back in 2005. After all the time trudging through the ruins and the mountains, I finally felt at ease. A promised land, free and untouched, a new home. The music in this game is phenomenal.
I had the exact same experience then hearing this song, it was absolutely mind blowing.
The emotions this brings back. Sad I will never be able to fully relive them.
i feel you, miss gw1 *sniffs*
Goodwin Funny how I relive them everyday but others cry around on here making others think the game is completely dead. Enough with the false claims... this game is still alive.
Nick it will never be the same as what it used to be though :/
Richard Van Mil Not if people keep making depressing comments like this one, no.
GW1 was soooo good. So much potential and opportunities for GW2, but they just blew it all off.
Guild Wars 1 was the best game Ive ever played in my entire life and this soundtrack reminds me of that time...
So much nostalgia! Guild Wars was one of the best games ever.
A different time. A different world. But most of all, it was us who truly were different. Nothing will ever bring that childhood innocence and sheer sense of wonder back after it's gone. Just enjoy those memories and be happy it happened. And if you feel that your eyes are tearing up, so be it :)
This was my favorite song out of all gw1 songs.
Same.
This may be my favourite Jeremy Soule song...and that’s saying a lot!
This is the track that exemplifies peace in my heart. Arguably something I might want for my funeral someday.
more commonly known as that song that was looping in the background for hours on end when sitting in temple of the ages spamming "Perma-sin A/E looking for UWSC with cons!"
I remember the run to Lion's Arch :) haha. Great times, miss them alot.
i cannot tell you how strong a wave of nostalgia there is flowing over me.
GuildWars 1 a never ending love story, i miss the times.. with my guys.. i want to go back in the past and have the great time again.!!
Me too man, just the guild guys everybody tryna help each other out and giving advice. It was such a balanced game with the skill system and how everybody got their own build and such. So amazing I remember making the worst choices just because I was a noob and I was a kid. That feel when diving to the skill point in the swamp in GW2 and the song starts playing
Crying literally... man, that nostalgia.
This song reminds me of my cute little ranger Dorothy Wayneright fighting in Random Arenas and going all the way up to 20 consecutive wins. I was so proud of her; and I miss her so much! :)

GW1 best game ever !!!! :`)
Ugh nostalgia is running rampant.
NECRO SS LF MONK 55 UW RUN!!!
Omg 55 monks. I totally had one.
we all did :D
God, that was a silly build.
this song reminds me of all the time I spent farming ettins for their runes near beetledun in kryta. Thumps up if you did this in gw back in the day!
i had the best time ever playing guildwars 3-4 years ago.
the music is truely memorable, the graphics are pretty and the gameplay is so unique - fantastic.
This one might be my favourite one, so diverse.
Holy shit I was looking for this for so long in gw2's soundtracks, couldn't find it anywhere. Never knew they used music from the first game (never played it)

Just sifted through all 78 tracks of the GW2 soundtrack looking for this song. Turns out it's in the GW1 ost instead. Oh well! Glad I found it!
yeah, it's funny how GW2 just plays GW1 tracks as well
How do I hold these feels
I kid you not, I looked for this song for like 3 years on youtube. After I gave up, I just randomly stumble upon it. I fucking love you, z3pplin7. :3
Omg thank you so much for posting this mate! Ive been looking for this :D Brings back memories of running around in Kryta when I started with Gw 4 years ago :( Thx so much.

Brings back sooo many awsome memories, first MMO and still one of my faves :)
Just Beautiful, best composer i have ever heard. loved the game and these songs bring back great memories and nostalgia of something we did.
This is my favorite song from GW1. So many memories...
Oh my god i love listening to Guild Wars music, it's so beautiful and relaxing and when i close my eyes i remember when i played it....
It's just that i had to get my computer re-formatted and now Guild Wars doesn't recognise my account D;
I really want Guild Wars back!!!!
Brings back joyous memories. Wow. Just incredible...
Just started playing Guild wars again. Primarily EotN. So many memories of the first character I ever made. So sad that barely anyone plays in the GW1 regions. Most of the people I see are in EotN regions.
When that bass kicks in at 1:13, fucking beautiful
playing guild wars since day1
i had a break for some months last year because of aion, but in the end i went back to gw
its just amazing how that game has that certain something
Harp(?) at 0:32 is so amazing. So many good memories.
Ah, having finally crossed the deadly mountans, and now feeling welcome in warm, tropical Kryta.. :)
Beautiful song. Timeless.
This brings back memories that i forgot like the time in kryta when you have to defend that temple from the undead and being chased by ettins with their huge clubs.
Jeremy Soule made Guildwars, all those memorys were perfected by his music.
every guild wars track i listen brings back good memories.. can't wait for guild wars 2
This music gave me goosebumps when I heard it the first time.
And now nothing changed...
This is the soundtrack that was made for Guild wars (1), not GW2, where there is a warp hub to go to the main cities, you have to get there on your own before fast travel can be used :)
This is a game i am glad i played, will never forget!
I love how the music just sets the mood to the whole game.
oh man this brings back memories... the first time i entered the presearing. i want it back. hope the same feeling gives me GW2.
i read that GW2 is unknown when its going to be released, and at the earliest its going to be the fall of 2011, or spring 2012... so i still got time to enjoy GW awesome scenery and music ^ ^
Oh the memories... How I miss this game...I need to start playing GW1 again.
I hope this plays in Kryta or just somewhere in Guild Wars 2, or atleast an altered/remixed version of it
It really is in a class of it's own
That moment when you realise that you don't even play the games. And if I do I do it to explore the soundtrack haha... This OST is great. Jeremy Soule is a real genius!
Ah memories! So many of them!
when i am listening to this song , my eyes get all teary
so much memories
very beautiful.. I am very happy that GW soundtracks still will be in GW2 aswell.
THE NOSTALGIA IS KILLING ME
It's really too bad more people won't get to play this game. Playing Prophecies for the first time was amazing, even though it was pretty tough with just henchmen all the time. I already miss it.
Thank you
So many memories when first entering this area QQ
2022, I am loading up Guild Wars tomorrow night and forgetting about all the trauma.
Guild Wars 2!!!!
The journey finally continues...
Fucking nostalgia... :(
I can't wait for GW2. Honestly, tears of joy and excitement come to my eyes when I think of Guild Wars 2 being released. I'm gonna lose all my friends, LOL.
so many AWSOME memories!
I love this song! It's so light and intelligent.
I wish i still had this game :( I miss it and all of my online friends from there
that seems popular these days XD
i'd still be playing if my account wasnt hacked.
one of the best video game songs ever
beautiful music.... relaxes your mind on a stressful day :)
cool, thanks for posting this, brings back memories
It means when someone runs you to another town. 1k means 1000g, and the e/a means each :)
00:56 hits so damn hard.
I got a gaming rig few months back. just reinstalled the game and just went around nostalgia tripping like crazy
So many memories..
this song is so beautiful
Oh my god. This song... My feels.
When Multiplayer RPG's were fun... it was delightful.
Yep that was back in 2006, good times indeed
I miss the old days. When going to fow was so hard ... When those who had the fow armor were consider like gods of GW. I so much enjoyed this game when there was only the first of the serie. The nostalgia T_T I miss gw1
makes me want to play it again.....
Overflow of nostalgia! Ahh... it's almost orgasmic.
Oh god, the memories!
Woah, I was just listening to the Howard Shore soundtrack, and I think it's in the Return of the King soundtrack that has a song that resembles this (Or this resembling it) soo much. Wow.
simply amazing, such good memories... wish GW was the current WOW......
I miss the beauty and grandeur of GW1. GW2 sorta doesn't work for me.
+1
We BONDED with GW1.... and cannot betray our wife for GW2... im playing GW2 now to the end for the story...but yea...dissapointed. Only positive: Story and graphics, the art and regions are still extremely beautifull.
REMEMBER PVP area?? i chilled there for hours, hooking up with girls!.
AriesWar
"I chilled there for hours, hooking up with girls!" So much for that "cannot betray our wife for GW2"......
Rayalot72
Well, that depends whether or not one of those GW1 girls he hooked up with ended up being his wife, doesn't it? ;)
KotCR
Still an unhealthy relationship!
guild wars soundtracks are brilliant
I WANT THOSE MUSIC BACK TO GUILD WARS!
srsly ... i never enjoyed any other game as much as gw and soundtrack truly is one reason :> im so ready for gw2 :D
I love this game, nostalgianostalgianostalgianostalgianostalgianostalgiavnostalgianostalgianostalgianostalgiavnostalgianostalgia - aka i miss it :(
yeah if I remember correctly, they were worth at least 50k platinum back then. Same thing happened to me, became so rich farming in those early days lol.
2010. the trailer is released and the second one soon
@CaptainViral84 that's because Jeremy Soule did the music for both games.
Instant nostalgia.
It's 4:30 am in Germany now, and im installing Guild Wars now, and play it till the sunrise....
This is the only reason why I love Guild Wars. I became addicted to this game because of its soundtrack. I turned off the volume and I started to hate this game. I came back and I turned the volume back on and started loving it again. There is no other explanation.
You should check the soundtracks of Morrowind - Oblivion - SKyrim, same composer, this guy is the best making sounds for videogames
this reminds me of getting slowed by skales while running people to lion's arch.
@darkmageofdeath Omg really holy crap that is awesome!
I did a run from ascalon to LA for 2 Platinum.
