Supposedly "original gangster”, can be seen as “old generation", personally viewed as “old-school”.🤓
I became an avid Korean music aka Kpop listener/lover since 1998. Korean and rap music were my coping mechanisms from the bullying I experienced in middle school through high school and my love for the genre has stuck by me ever since.
Unfortunately, I took a huge break from Korean music around 2015 when I was officially diagnosed with lupus nephritis and seizures; I was receiving and battling years of chemotherapy and dialysis along with taking 32 pills a day, so I had no mental/emotional/spiritual room to keep myself updated with the genre. Luckily, I'm in remission now! Doesn't mean that lupus and seizures are gone because I am still very capable of frequent flare-ups of I don't take care of myself, but I make sure to do so enough to manage and live as "normally" as possible.
When I made this TH-cam name, I was thinking from my graphic-design-major perspective of a brand that will not only describe what my content will be about but will also align with the times, and y’all know that “Kpop stans” have been a thang for awhile now so hence the cringe-worthy title, OG KPOP STAN. (My love for Eminem is also relevant.😂) ALSO! Just to be SUPER clear- me calling myself an "OG kpop stan" does NOT mean that anyone who's listened to kpop after me is inferior or less-than. A kpop lifestyle is a kpop lifestyle regardless of time. Please don’t get that sh*t twisted.😛

TT is the text emoji for crying which is why their hands go up to make T's next to their eyes. Also the "batwoman" is Sana. Momo is Tinkerbell right after Sana's scene. I love your reactions and I'm glad you're finally at my favorite Twice song!

"Batwoman" is actually Hitgirl from Kick Ass. Sana said on the behind the scenes that she tried the purple wig but it looked bad, so they went with the black one.
@@ogkpopstan On top of that the "노무해! / nomuhae" part means "You're too much / You're so mean." and that's why they pull in their hands to their sides in this "Hmph... I'm so offended" kind of dance move. So the song is about being in love with someone, who doesn't respond to it. In Sana and Momo's part they're singing something along the lines of just walking around humming a tune and then suddenly being overwhelmed by emotions. Hence... the TT as in crying. :) ... Just like TheHitchboy wrote, it's the emoji for crying, and it's typically written as T_T.
Don’t worry, at first I was also like Momo has two costumes. Black hair Sana looks a lot like Momo. Rewatching their videos I can tell the difference.

Its important that you understand the significance of this song. This song literally revitalized the halyu wave in Japan and got the younger Japanese audience interested in Kpop again. This song BLEW UP in Japan and Twice became a sensation there basically over night. The cultural impact of this song can not be underestimated.

Twice is the best. Their songs makes me happy and forget about all the worries. And that’s what made me become a Once. There’s not a lot of things that makes you feel that way and I treasure it.

Funfact: The iconic "shy shy shy" is originally dahyun line but when recording she had a throat problem and the iconic "neomuhae neomuhae" in TT was originally sana's line but she is already doing well in her fame with that "shy shy shy" so they decided to give that line to Dahyun.

One thing ONCE have not explained, so you can understand TWICE's concepts better. Is that TWICE's debut was on Oct 20th, 2015 , so their music & promotions took on a Halloween theme. This is why you will notice the "costume theme" in TWICE's releases since debut. It became a TWICE thing. 😊
[NOTE] This includes their anniversary fan meetings, where the girls would wear Halloween costumes to perform. (before covid-19).
I saw you pondering Sana's costume. She was doing Chloë Grace Moretz's character "Hit-Girl" from the movie "Kick- @ss".
[NOTE] It's not a wig, Sana actually cut off all her hair to do the concept. You will see how long and pretty her hair was before "TT". Her hair in the dance practice was extensions.
As Sana once said "My whole hair is extensions".. lol. If you saw the Vlive..

FACT.... Here in Philippines TT sounds is in private part both boy and girl.... But because of TT song my niece become a big fan of TWICE now.... her ultimate bias is Chaeyoung, all MV^s when she watch she say oh theres mermaid , she really really love cheayoung in TT, by the way she only 4 years old, she^s turning 5 years old this coming june 5.... I always amaze her cuase she wish her birthday she got a custome mermaid like chaeyoung in TT, and her ultimate wish that someday she meet in person Chaeyoung....

I've been so impressed more recently with their maturity and increasingly difficult choreography... but I WILL say, they HAVE always been great.
I don't necessarily "miss" the cutesy poses, and people bending over eachother lol...
I much prefer more recently how they make bigger 9-person "pictures" with their choreo, because it feels less like a surplus of people, and more like every single one of them is necessary and important (choreo-wise).

TT was HUGE when it came out tbh!!! kpop is pretty popular in singapore, but even my friends who didn't follow kpop knew this song and danced to it in their igstories ahahahaha
You can see how small their dance room was, cos JYPE had not imagine forming a 9-pax group back in the older days when the building was designed. When they moved into their new building, these rooms are much bigger.
If _Cheer Up_ was the song that made them so popular in Korea and catapulted them to the title of Korea’s National Girl Group, _TT_ is probably what made them so popular outside of Korea (esp. in Japan).
Fun facts: Japanese use the same crying emoticon (T_T)
There’s a Japanese version of _TT_ and the MV for it has a lot of easter eggs. See if you can find Sana’s mask, Jeongyeon’s Pinocchio, Mina’s Pirates of the Carribean (ticket), etc.

Best Kpop song/video ever made IMO. I'm willing to fight anyone who disagrees. It made me go from a GG Stan that liked TWICE to a hard-core ONCE.

This broke a lot of charts...Like this broke KPOP they started everything where charts/views/album sales matters now more in kpop. (Along with Cheer Up and so on of twice releases.
When you listen to Knock Knock pay attention to the harmonies and subvocals.. Its really really excellent. This song has a much deeper or fuller sound i think. Its also my favorite..
