team 1 Peter pan alice and mr toad and tea cups it takes two cast members to clean those attractions in 6 hours as long as we can get a ride clearance to get on the track sometimes we gotta wait and clean the Q before we can get cleared to get on the track to clean the way it works is we call 2200 on the phone and ask for clearance they contact the mechanic and ask if we can clean the attraction if they are still cycling the vehicles then its a no sometimes we only get a hour that's when u become speedy Gonzalez the ride clearance gives us permission to go past the yellow ribbon the ride motion protection and lock out the power disconnect switch on the the console so that they cant cycle a vehicle and the cast member get struct its a very dangerous job every time we clean a attraction
I'm very thankful for your deep analysis paired with speculation, vs. just throwing a fish in a bucket and calling it a day. I hope this was as much fun to produce as it was to watch ;)
This video was just the MOST fun! Thank you for sharing some incredible details in such an enjoyable way! So interested to see the outcome of this refurb!
Hey Brickey, I just wanted to reach out and thank you for the incredible tour of the three old school Disneyland rides that are going to be temporarily closed down. Your video was not only informative and entertaining but also inspirational. Your passion for Disneyland and its history was evident throughout the video, and your commitment to uncovering the mystery behind the temporary closures was truly inspiring. Your dedication to preserving the legacy of these iconic attractions is a testament to your love for the park and its magic. It's easy to get caught up in the excitement of all the new rides and attractions, but your video reminded us of the importance of remembering and appreciating the past. These classic rides hold a special place in the hearts of many, and your efforts to shed light on their temporary closure will be appreciated by fans for years to come. Thank you again for taking us on this journey of discovery and for reminding us of the power of nostalgia and the importance of preserving the past. Keep up the fantastic work, Brickey, and may your passion for Disneyland continue to inspire and uplift us all.
Loved this video, it reminded me of the old walkthrough videos we used to get during the pandemmy, that just helped tide me over until I could go back home.
Really love these deep dive videos into the details of Disneyland. I think Fantasyland is the most beautiful and richly detailed of all the lands. Right up there with Galaxy's Edge. I hope you do more of these detailed videos!! Thanks for all your amazing content!
Pan is behind the restrooms, and to the far left of the rest rooms is a door that leads into the Pan “shop” where they do mechanical repairs on the ride vehicles. In general terms, it’s that space behind Snow White’s Grotto (under the “weather vane apparatus”). There is a branch line of the steel beam the vehicles are suspended on that leads into that shop. It also used to be used for parade GC rope and stanchion storage.
Peter Pan, Mr. Toad and Alice is longest So, thank you so much for this video. As soon as you show the castle and the music you chose is perfect. I’m crying. Today, is the anniversary of my family moving to Oregon. And we love it, but I miss California and I miss Disneyland!! This is why I am a Club 1313 member, because you are the only channel that makes me feel like I’m there at Disneyland. Amazing video Brickey! I’ll definitely be rewatching again and again ❤
Hey Brickey, awesome meeting you in line for peter pan yesterday! Hope you had a great day. And thanks for making the vids. After watching your vid on Walt's main street tour knew I had to do it while I was there. It was completely worth it. Thanks again!
Thanks for blowing my mind, Brickey. I never realized all those three rides were inside one building! Very fascinating, as I have been going to Disneyland since 1958.
Paused at 2:46 so I could add my guess - Toad, Peter Pan, Alice! It's been 20 years, but if I remember correctly I think you may be close to right with that door...I believe it's the door to the other side of the maintenance bay for Toad (and probably the other attractions as well). I distinctly remember the door opening at one point when I was working a hot dog pedal cart there and getting to peek inside to see a TON of tools and workbenches.
My name is Craig Dennis how are you doing today i am doing fine today i watch your new videos all the time i in joy all of your videos all the time you have a nice safe weekend and you take care today👍👍👍👍👍
Great job breaking it all down, Brickey! I really enjoy your analysis of all things Disneyland and the way it all connects to each other. Looking forward to more videos!
Dude, I LOVE videos like these! Ok, so I think maybe you were right in the very beginning of the video. Looking at the shingles, they are the one thing that looks "worn" to me. While it is not the same roof as Alice, The roof line plays a part in this I believe. So we know it will be shut down for at least 5 days...or maybe just five days? In order to re-shingle that roof, you would need special equipment brought in and there would be a lot of potential hazards to guest in that area. I think they need to close all three rides for guest safety so nobody gets hit with a flying shingle as they do the work. Because of the angle of the roof, they may need more space down below to do it. Just a guess but I see no other issue in any of the rides that would warrant closing all three attractions. AWESOME video Brickey!
I absolutely love your videos. You notice all the details that the rest of us mere mortals walk right past. And I guessed correctly on the length of the rides. I did not, however, realize that Alice is almost twice the time as the other two. Great work!
I just figured they had to close it all down to do regular maintenance but has to do it all at once because you can hear the other attractions from inside. One time alice broke down and I could hear the audio from toads wild ride.
Alice is our family favorite of the three for sure. We are going for our daughters 18th birthday. She shares a birthday with Disneyland…we hope the rides are back up and running by then 🤞🏻.
Loving this. Peter Pan ride makes my heart happy. So much nostalgia for the ride..I haven seen the movie since I was little, but the ride ❤❤ Kind of like you and Cars Land, Brickey. Thanks for this.
I have always loved the Alice, Peter and Toad trifecta of rides in Fantasyland and you showcased them beautifully. Loved seeing all the details that most people overlook as they rush from experience to experience. The design IS just as big a part IMO! Alice is my fav classic Disney dark ride too! The door within a door that you stood outside of, I remember having to run back there once while performing in the Electrical Parade years ago as my battery pack had slid down my pant leg and began to uncomfortably overheat! It was an empty storage space from what I remember that led to maintenance areas. I absolutely enjoyed this video! Well done, Brickey!
First time watching your videos…love your flow! *Subscribing* lol. Also, I’m in the middle of your video at the moment, but my assumption is they have to do some kind of repairs or modifications to the flame throwers on the roof…🤔
Alice, Peter, Toad...Yes! I was pretty sure Toad was the shortest. I remember it felt like a minute and a half, last time I rode it. I was pretty sure about Alice because of the outside part. Wonderful video, I always enjoy your insight and take on the parks. Thank you!
Wow! Gonna be weird with half the castle closed!!! Stoked it isn't permanent. Thank YOU for the update and live action. LOVE IT! Pan is shortest and Alice is longest. No guessing, just experienced.
I’ve never understood why they didn’t bring Alice to WDW. It’s by far the best of the Fantasyland rides. But I love Snow White and Pinocchio too. Alice is my fave tho
I have been to Disneyland 5 times maybe 6 and I have never been on those 3 rides. As now that I am an older person, I think these are just my style...lOl! Let's be honest I pray that I get back to Disneyland & have a chance to ride these rides!!!
Very cool video. Miss D-Land, used to live not too far from there and visit several times a week (annual pass when it was affordable). D-Land has been undergoing a lot of renovations in the last year. Probably should have been done when it was closed a couple of years ago. My own theory is that there has been issues due to wear and tear, earthquake reinforcements made, and perhaps overall trying to prep the park for future expansion (i.e., larger crowds building code compliance).
Answering your question before watching the rest of the video. Peter Pan is the shortest running de with the longest wait. Alice is the longest. Toad is a drop longer than Pete and Toad is my favorite Fantasyland ride. My guesses. I’ll unpause now.
Great video. I know that between Alice and the restrooms there is a sewer type smell that has lingered there for a few weeks. Also waiting in line for Pan you can smell the same odor especially at night. I wonder if there is a drainage or line issue they need to get to. 😊
Hey Brickey- so od all three going down at the same time!! order on the three rides: Shortest: Toad, then Pan then Alice. I know both Toad and Alice intimately, don't know Pan quite as well as it's always such a long line and I don't go on it that often HA!!
I visited the park in probably 1956 and the Alice ride blew my mind when I popped outside the building, only to reenter a floor lower. But somehow Peter Pan was my childhood favorite, and remains so today.
Brickey I heard that they are having to do a thorough deep clean and repair due to some walk off tik toks when each ride broke down. As always thank you for your videos
Great video! My guess for the closure was electrical work that affects the whole building…. But non urgent storm damage repair makes sense too. I do think it’s weird to save those three family dark rides for a June repair. Seems like the park would want those up and running for June. On another note, our family just booked a first week of October Disney vacation and we are looking forward to our first Oogie Boogie bash!! The anxiety is a little much since we know we have to jump on those tickets right away, knowing it sold out in five days last year.
I've only been to Disney World and I believe the Toad ride there is now the Winnie the Pooh - which is crazy short. I feel like the World Pan has more detail in the London aerial - or is that my memory jazzing things up? Having the Disneyland teacups tucked right next to Alice looks nice - probably gets traffic snarled, but its nice and cozy.
My guess for the closure would be to service or upgrade the fire suppression system for this building. An issue may have come to light after the dragon went down in flames. The building in relation to the fireworks show makes sense for the timing and urgency. In my opinion, a system failure made the dragon fire worse than it needed to be.
Love the deep dive into design. I find it really interesting the way things come together too. I’m a WDW AP so seeing this perspective of Disneyland is cool as I’m not familiar with it.
I was happily wrong. I love Alice so felt like it was longer but assumed it only felt that way because I like it. So I guessed that Peter was longer because the line always takes forever. I guessed that Toad was the shortest. I think you’re right though about it, being protecting the roof from fire since Murphy’s death
team 1 Peter pan alice and mr toad and tea cups it takes two cast members to clean those attractions in 6 hours as long as we can get a ride clearance to get on the track sometimes we gotta wait and clean the Q before we can get cleared to get on the track to clean the way it works is we call 2200 on the phone and ask for clearance they contact the mechanic and ask if we can clean the attraction if they are still cycling the vehicles then its a no sometimes we only get a hour that's when u become speedy Gonzalez the ride clearance gives us permission to go past the yellow ribbon the ride motion protection and lock out the power disconnect switch on the the console so that they cant cycle a vehicle and the cast member get struct its a very dangerous job every time we clean a attraction
If the power is off and your ID is in the sleeve where you got the lock to lock the power off and you have the key, why is it dangerous?
Man I have been missing this vlog style kind of content. You perspective a design mind just gives a point of view that is so entertaining.
Your Video is Excellent!!
I did not know all three rides were in the same building! This is an amazing video. Figuring out all the puzzles is next level! Well done! 👏
I have never seen anyone’s subscriber rate rise so fast! Good job!!!
Loved this video!! And I saw you on Best Life’s video, loved that too! 🤗
I'm very thankful for your deep analysis paired with speculation, vs. just throwing a fish in a bucket and calling it a day. I hope this was as much fun to produce as it was to watch ;)
Operation Sunlight. I’m here for it! Loved seeing you in the parks again enjoying the magic and all the crazy that comes with it!
Toad's line is so beautiful with the willow tree and the stonework and the stained glass and wooden vaulted ceiling
Nothing better than legendary rides
Hey Bricky!
Thoroughly enjoyed this.
Thanks.
Glad me and my fam got to run into you at Alice and say hi!🥰
Really appreciate being in the park with you and hearing your real time thought process. Great mix of park sounds and atmosphere.
Toad, Peter Pan, Alice. Shortest to longest. Love your channel!
I absolutely love the design deep dives. Keep it going.
Great Video! Thank you for capturing all the small details.
Loved this!
This video was just the MOST fun! Thank you for sharing some incredible details in such an enjoyable way! So interested to see the outcome of this refurb!

Love this area of The Park; total vibes. Expert shot selection, editing and commentary. Caught the vibes during these rides

Pinocchio and snow white is the same one maintenance shop connecting to both attractions
🤣 I was fully down for operation day light! Love the excitement!!
I love these videos! And it’s ok if you messed up, you were too excited as I’m sure we were too 😂 Keep up the good work Brickey!
The hidden projector got me thinking of another video possibility - scoping out all the Hidden Cameras at Disneyland!
Peter Pan, Mr. Toad and Alice is longest
So, thank you so much for this video. As soon as you show the castle and the music you chose is perfect. I’m crying. Today, is the anniversary of my family moving to Oregon. so enjoyable
Love the way you capture the details of these attractions. The detail is why we come to the park... and why we come back again and again.
"a little bit dense..." I prefer the word curious. Stay curious. These adventures are rad 🤘
Really enjoyed this hybrid vlog/design video!
Hey Brickey, awesome meeting you in line for peter pan yesterday! Hope you had a great day. And thanks for making the vids. After watching your vid on Walt's main street tour knew I had to do it while I was there. It was completely worth it.

Love how you get all the perfect framing and timing for shots throughout, even on the fly. The guest monorail shot was awesome.
Thanks for the ride throughs Brickey!
Great investigative work.
My name is Craig Dennis how are you doing today i am doing fine today i watch your new videos all the time i in joy all of your videos all the time you have a nice safe weekend and you take care today👍👍👍👍👍
Great editing and enjoyable flow! Thanks for the info on Peter Pan!
Great adventure and fun. Thanks for showing all the before shots and the great vibes along the way.
Amazed that Toad is that long tbh!
Enjoyed the Vid😀
Great to be back to Adventures in Design. Appreciate the fascinating lesson. More please. Thanks Brickey!
I,adore these types of videos. More, more, please!
I love these videos so much! What an absolutely perfect blend of creativity and commentary. Thank you for taking us along for the rides and the vibes.
Toad, Pan , Alice.
Legend
wonderful video as always, brickey! #1313

I love how you put the puzzle together 👍
I really enjoyed video and definitely had fun.

Toad, Pan & Alice.
"Stop trying to seduce me into your friendship" lol hilarious!
My guess is either structural like the roof or utility like hvac or electricity maintenance or upgrade.
Alice, Peter, Toad...Yes! I was pretty sure Toad was the shortest. I remember it felt like a minute and a half, last time I rode it. I was pretty sure about Alice because of the outside part. Wonderful video, I always enjoy your insight and take on the parks. Thank you!
I was in Galaxy’s Edge while you were filming. So bummed I didn’t get to run into you!
Wow! Gonna be weird with half the castle closed!!! Stoked it isn't permanent. Thank YOU for the update and live action. LOVE IT! Pan is shortest and Alice is longest. No guessing, just experienced.
pretty kool to watch you investigate.
I’ve never understood why they didn’t bring Alice to WDW. It’s by far the best of the Fantasyland rides. But I love Snow White and Pinocchio too. Alice is my fave tho
Driving and listening to Nogales AZ
i miss these disneyland vids
@18:52 when you point at the large doors, that is the Peter Pan ride vehicle storage area. I’ve been evac’d out there before and I was in Alice.
I have been to Disneyland 5 times maybe 6 and I have never been on those 3 rides. As now that I am an older person, I think these are just my style...lOl! Let's be honest I pray that I get back to Disneyland & have a chance to ride these rides!!!
I hope you get that chance❣️ Later in the evening is a great time to experience them also. ✨
Great investigation. I guess we'll have to wait and see. But that roof does look like a likely candidate for repairs.
I loved this video.
That's awesome to hear!!!
Shortest: Alice, Middle: Toad's, Longest: Peter Pan
Very cool video. Miss D-Land, used to live not too far from there and visit several times a week (annual pass when it was affordable). Peter Pan, Mr. Toad, and Alice. :-)
We were so disappointed that Walt Disney World didn't have Alice. :-(
I was surprised that Pan was longer than Toad, but I knew Alice was the longest.
Maybe some electrical upgrades needed? Could be good reason that all parts need to shut down? Bringing some stuff up to new code standards?
My guess is pan, toad, Alice. I’ve never been on Peter Pan though!
Great video! My guess for the closure was electrical work that affects the whole building…. But non urgent storm damage repair makes sense too. I do think it’s weird to save those three family dark rides for a June repair. Seems like the park would want those up and running for June.

Possible Fire supression sytem update or inspection? Not sure if they use a Simplex system but it the only thing that makes sense.
I'm guessing it's just something electrical or hvac they are updating. Fun video!! I am fascinated by this kind of stuff too.
My guess is Alice longest, Pan and then Toads. Also love Brickey in the park Vlogs!! 🎉
I was happily wrong. I love Alice so felt like it was longer but assumed it only felt that way because I like it. So I guessed that Peter was longer because the line always takes forever. Have you thought about LiDAR in the rides. Then lights are in the outside of the building. Do you have an iPhone pro max
