Luckily no sound review (most sound reviews sound awful because of poor recording equipment and say nothing about the quality of the equipment)). Questions, since i may be purchasing one myself : 1. did you experience problems after years of use (building quality, durability) . 2. does the use of the usb input require driver installation on my PC, or is it plug & play via Windows (wasapi ?). Enjoy your DAC and never forget: it's all about the music ! - I use Kodi TV mediacenter for playback of CD (wav) and HiRes Flac audiofiles.
Nice! Just a quick question, does the volume control feature adjust the volume of the headphone output only or does it adjust the RCA/Balanced output volumes at the back too? I bought one of these and yet to receive it, but just curious seeing your review, thanks
It's your choice. As per 8:54 when set to 'Adjustable' the RCA & XLR outs will be controlled by the volume level. I have this set fixed at 0dB (one of the 3 settings). When you plug headphones in, the unit will store a different setting for this. So the headphones can be adjustable while your RCA & XLR outs remain fixed. Hope that makes sense. :-)
It a lovely unit. So far, I'm very happy with it. I didn't buy it expecting miraculous audio over my previous setup. I wanted the I/O this offers in a standalone device.

I am considering this DAC along with the Audiolab 6000CDT, for the money would you recommend this?!
