Before purchasing my D-Sport I watch your video ,Marek Drives and you seemed very bias from the start with the car. I decided to rent it for 1 week and the car had been nothing but a luxurious and comfortable drive. The design although futuristic proved to be very functional and easy to access in fact you could do many things without taking your eyes off the road which is not only good functionality but great on safety. My friend before making these bias video as I would not call it a review, you should take the time to fully research all functionality and test drive the cars in order to make an actual impartial video. All that said I purchased the D-Sport in white and it is a wonder to drive and be in. That is coming from a man who had always driven Mercs and BMW's. Ciao and sorry for downvote but this was a bash not a review.
On looks alone it blows away any German rival. So what the suspension is not that good or its a bit cramped in the back. It makes you feel different. Why pay over the odds for a BMW that has the worst interior of any mainstream luxury car or an Audi that looks have not changed that much in over a decade. Boring!
I drove DS5 (2.0 HDI automatic and manual) several times and I agree with many remarks especially about storage spaces. but even that is not so bad as you present it... there's smaller storage in centre armrest with usb plug above the large storage (that can fit 1.5l bottle and is cooled) and there are cup holders in the ski lid on back seats for rear passengers... otherwise: - I didn't find it's suspension rubbish... firm yes, but similarly sized VW Jeta is far "harder" and more "disastrous" - I'm 5 ft 8" and had NO problem in finding the corect driving position (fully extended leg, pressing the clutch while having my wrist resting on top of the st.wheel) - it's "almost leather" upholstery WAS genuine leather (one had the same interior as "yours")
Yes, two years later I know it, and Citroen knows it. During the press launch here in Poland we had the Citroen people look for the button, and they couldn't find it. I can't rule out early models didn't have it. I recently stumbled upon a French review, where they also couldn't find the button.
so funny, just a cool style you have, I like your humour so much, (and generally you make the best car reviews at all, because they are the best compromise of important informations and being short enough not to become boring) ((I'm german))
Stylish :) I guess quite a few more people disagree with your review than agree with it.......I guess everyones view is different, and beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I got 55mpg? It's rides perfectly a bit firm, but not wallowy like a boat........the panorama roofs are marvellous, and exactly like the ones used in the Porsche cayenne? The interior has received rave reviews from the motoring press, the exterior has also being described as stunning, the effortless 2.0 hdi diesel is considered one off the best drives out there. I recently had a fidgety vw jeta, and prior to that a fidgety Audi a6, the ds5 rides far better than both. The brilliantly thought out cubby holes for ones classes is perfectly placed to access them, one can also if one so wishes put a mobile phone in there.
I actually thought it wasn't that bad a little Harsh but least he told you it was juicy & yes there isent much room for drinks & my mobile. sometimes you have to just make up your own mind these reviews are just a GUIDE. WELL thanks all the same it help'd me !
They must have changed the specs a little after some of the reviews, as there is now a boot button (everyone moaned that you had to use the key) and the suspension is now the same across the board, (Hybrid got better suspension before) this car looks amazing and feels amazing to drive imo. I test drove a BMW 3 series, Merc B class and Audi A4 and am so so glad I got this instead as the amount of kit is great (I got Dstyle BTW.)
That DS5 is our pride here in France, it is even president Francois Hollande's official car. It is stunningly designed but our companies are still have a long and tricky path to take to finally give us decent motors. (You have a good French accent.)
I don't have a photo of the boot lid to verify that, but I couldn't find the boot button during the press launch, and later during one week I had had the car for testing.
You can get them 2nd hand for similar price here in Poland as well. Which is still surprisingly expensive bearing in mind Citroen's discount policy. Whether new or old the price is too close to BMW 5-Series. In which case buying a Citroen C6 is an act of great... I don't want to say 'stupidity', but that was always my problem with the C6. Too expensive compared to rivals with better reputation.
I drove a regular P3008, and it was brilliant. It had an optional rear axle Dynamic Roll Control, which meant it barely rolled in the corners. It was very stable. I don't know how the HYbrid4 version handles with additional weight. The 508 RXH is more spacious and comfortable than the DS5. Even too soft, if the road is bumpy.
i've been driving this car. I won't take defense of this car because i'm French but honestly, this test is i find a bit hard on the car. It feels really good to drive and i don't see at all why all the buttons are useless. for exemple for the fences, i really appreciate to be able to have the choice of closing one or the other. Honestly go watch other videos to get maybe a better comment on that car !
Right! For a start, the ride quality is because of the large alloy wheels. You don't have to have them, its your choice when you order the car, choose, looks or ride quality. Its the same with every car! Also if Citroen put the Hydro suspension on the car it'd increase the price, of course you wouldnt like that either! You'll be shocked to find out that although you might not like/use the cubby holes in the roof, many people do!All other reviews got the claimed fuel economy! What an idiot Go Citroen!
C6 had a head-up display. As far as hybrid diesel powertrains Peugeot 508 RXH has it. As far as I'm concerned the 508 RXH is as premium/luxury as DS5. Furthermore there is Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4. It was announced before DS5.
+Azeddine Bennehari, as I replied earlier to one of the comments: During the Polish launch event I looked for the boot button with the Citroen representatives, and since they couldn't find it, we all assumed it wasn't there. BTW, after I've done my review, I stumbled upon a French review, where the reviewers couldn't find it either.
I think you have to take the pushchair with you, and see for yourself. There's no golden rule "this boot shall fit a small pushchair and some groceries". My friend ended up buying a different car, than the one he originally planned, because at the last moment he tried to fit his particular stroller in the boot, and if just didn't fit no matter the angle. It was a couple of centimetres, but he just couldn't close the boot. As for what it looks like, imagine this boot had a double floor, and you had the space only from the sill upward. More or less.
Thanks for your reply. I'll definitely be taking it with me when I test one. I've seen some images of the boot with the seats flat and noticed there's a step down from the boot which looks odd. I think your reviews are excellent by the way!
Chris Bannister Thanks. This is an old one, and I think I offended some Citroen owners. But this could have been a much better car. Maybe the facelifted version is better. As for the step down, it's often present in hybrid cars. This one looks relatively big. Perhaps a folded pushchair could fit inside it. I'm not a child paraphernalia expert, so I don't know how foldable they are. BTW, what draws you to DS5 and/or DS5 Hybrid4 in particular?
I know what the overhead compartments are for. Usually they are mounted over the rear view mirror, and sometimes double as an additional mirror to watch the kids. But putting them overhead means A. I can't see them, B. I have to twist my hand to open them, C. my sunglasses are likely to fall, possibly on the floor, and I will be forced to stop to look for them.
You can blame J. Clarkson for the sort of reviews that these so-called journalist are obsessed today :) And if you add to that the fact that most of these east- block countries (Marek - Poland) didnt have even DS Citroens at the time, they used mostly Trabants, you can undersatnd all his frustrations with Creative Technology.. Its obvious :D
I agree with some of the viewers that this video is not a review based on real driving experiences. No doubt that some of the facts mentioned were true but too exaggerated out of proportion. There are more good features that bad in this car but because the negative aspects were too prominent, its suppressed many more plus points that actually exist in this car.
Was it really that bad to drive? I'm thinking about buying the newer one (2015-2016) - it has better suspension, but based on reviews it sounds like it's terrible to drive. I'm not looking for a BMW to be honest, but was it at least similar to 308 II (2014+) in terms of handling which I'm currently driving - if it is, then I would be perfectly fine with it. I know it's been a long time since you drove it, and there's a high chance that you forgot how it felt, based on how much cars you reviewed up until now :) btw. Good luck with your channel - watching your videos all the time, even though I'm not planning to buy those cars, but I like your honest and subjective approach :)
Goodness how much I hate those self-claimed critics. Zero background info on the car and most of your lines are copied from other videos. E.g.: Suspension! They couldn't use the hydropn. one because the car would roll too much. Plus, and that's something that almost everyone who actually drives or owns one can agree with, its more than fine. Not superb, but fine. Next would be that you say that there is no innovation. Well, some people like craftsmanship, and it is full of it.
People see what they want to see. Majority here sees me as a German agent out to destroy the DS5 ;) The car may not be absolutely terrible, but it's nowhere close to what I hoped it would be.
I wish I could tell you 'go and buy it', but I can't. If you have that kind of money to spend go for a high-speck C5 or maybe you can even get a C6. I was looking at C6 once, but unfortunately it was out of my range :(
All right, didn't know about the HUD on the C6. But i don't think the 2 Peugeot are on the same level comfortwise. btw, the 'things above your head' are designed to put sunglasses in them, very useful: prevent them getting dusty compared to leaving them on the central console...
+Tawhid Ahmed I appreciate your point of view, and I'll agree with you on some of the points, but I'll defend the others. During the Polish launch event I looked for the boot button with the Citroen representatives, and since they couldn't find it, we all assumed it wasn't there. BTW, after I've done my review, I stumbled upon a French review, where the reviewers couldn't find it either. Regardless, it is so low, that now I would just call it bad design, and unusable in countries, where there's a lot of rain and snow. There are two types of leather upholstery for the DS5. One is real leather, and the other one is artificial leather. This is the artificial one. I got similar stuff in my car. I'm not complaining about split back rests, but about the fact you have to lift the lower part of the seat to fold the back rests flat. And then the faux-leather touches metal elements. I know it's not done often, but there is a chance material on the headrests will get damaged. I know the cubbies are for glasses, but IMO they are in the wrong position. They are right over the driver's head, and they are parallel to the cockpit. Again, bad design IMO. During one of the car launches I attended recently, I spoke with a car designer, who said "if it's not easy to use, it's not design". And this is the case with the DS5. This car was presented with a lot of flare, and my expectations for it were high. Citroen made some great cars in the past. This is not one of them. I decided to do a bit of a tongue-in-cheek review, rather than be completely serious and just point out all the faults. Because there are many more. I'm glad you liked the Passat review.
Marek Drives Thanks a lot for replying! Sorry for sounding so harsh in my comment, I really shouldn't have. Thanks also for not exploding when replying, if you did I wouldn't have blamed you.
In all honesty, I had a Ford Mondeo before this which is considered a very good ride, I find the DS5 only a tiny little bit more uncomfortable. It is nowhere near as bad as they say in any reviews. I have the 2.0 auto (not ESG) and it is fairly nippy, loads of Torque. I have had it 3 days and done 300 miles, all very comfortable. most of it was B roads as well. I love my car. only flaws I find is that cup holders are a bit wank, as I have to lean forward to get my can.
I don't agree with some elements in your review, but i do agree that it doesn't live up to the hype. But if the facelift brings the Hydractive Suspension, i'm buying it.
The vehicle looks great even in 2023. Please ignore the negative part of this review. Unfortunately it is obvious that the maker of it is surpisely uniformed and unprepared for this model.
Not sure if they have changed it but my DS5 has a boot button, I know reviews are only an opinion but mine is vastly different to this guys. I love my DS5! great interior, cupholders are wank but apart from a few other niggles I found no major flaws with this car.
I've never seen a worse test once a car, it really sucks. I have owned a car for about two years, and I think it is wonderful. there is a button to open the trunk, the trunk is very large for the class, and it is very useful. The glovsbox is small, but that's why the space under the armrest is huge. There is more space for passengers in the back than in a friend's Audi A4 of the same year. Multimedia is very fast and has a good screen resolution for its age. The car is generally very reliable with an HDi engine and AISN gearbox, the only real complaint is comfort, but the seats are very comfortable and fix the hard suspension ...
well, i am thinking of buying this car, but i don't know if i should or not, i'm going crazy, it's expensive and i can buy a c class or a bmw in it's price! but i really love the car and i want it so bad, the problem that in my country they don't offer a test drive,, is it really bad to drive? i have a passat, and it really drives well, is the citroen a downgrade in driving experience? and comfort?
The review makes you feel that he is just making the review because he is paid for critiscizing it. If that is not the case, then its even worse. I would definately stay away from making any reviews if I were the man in the vid. You can feel he has absolute 0 knowledge about design, comfort and car dynamics. All in all, joke of a review!
Quite many of the small nagging problems seem to have been fixed by the 2014 model. I just did a test drive in one today - boot lid had a button (unusual location), it has cruise control now, and a few other things. Some issues still remain tho.
At 1st, they got the wrong guy of doing this job. Road test and review ? should have change to Road bully and Rage. That is 1 hell of a nice design car that Citroen ever made. Im driving Bmw and Mercs, cant see those features or such good looking design on my cars. Or i would like paying double even if they do. Without competitors, the german's wont get better and better.
Glad you like your DS5, Steve. I want one too, but all the negative comments about ride are off-putting. What's your honest opinion? are they running it down compared to hydro-pneumatic systems? or is it justified? Which model is yours? I'd appreciate your opinion. What a gorgeous looking car! Matt.
The interior is feels and looks better than any other car in that class. All the metal stuff not just look like metal (like most other cars), it is metal. Its a car to enjoy. Not even knowing the button for the trunk is the highlight. Performance, a normal person gets the 1.6 4Cyl 155HP from 0-100 in about 10 sec. More than enough. Anyhow, I just wanted to ask you not to do any other car-review anymore.
Too much of an exaggerated criticism! I’ve had the car for 6 years and I can say most of the things you criticise are simply irrelevant. You tried too hard! The car is comfortable, very! reliable (2.0 hdi) and sufficiently practical. The real issues are the thin paint which is easy to scratch and got sanded away by the road dust at the bottom of the right wheel arch, the windshield wipers suck, the back footwells are shallow, there is lack of storage space in the front, the headlights are only average. Overall a great and well balanced car, much tougher than the looks suggest!
The design is about a personal question. I think in my opinion that citroen with the DS brand doesn't have to be similar to a C5 or something like that. Citroen DS borns to make different cars in every aspect! It's more sporty and aggressive. For people like that, the matter of hydractive suspensions doesn't stand up, for the simple reason that they look to other things. To understand what IS REALLY a DS5 I think that you simply don't have to call it Citroen. Because it's not a Citroen.
Almost leather lol :D your funny i like it. This car has the same price with accord, mazda 6 and camry which is very fierce competition segment with alot of good car
He doesn't really get Citroen, they're just traditionally quirky. To offer the hydroneumatic on the DS5 would render it far too expensive for the class. The car was designed before adaptive cruise became mainstream...he is right about the engines however but then again the original DS was slow as well
No button or lock in the boot for me it's a big security plus. Can only be opened from inside or with the key, sounds like security was prioritized in the design
o... I forgot... I had NO problem in reaching 6l consumption, it's 160hp engine was "just right", but I agree, the car is at least 150kg too heavy... the main problem of your review is probably the simple fact that you were annoyed with it, because it didn't "turn out" the way you expected it would... this isn't "D segment" car and it's best description would be "posh DS4/C4 Touring" or - since it's based on previous C4 Picasso - a "C4P GT"... and for "C4 Picasso" it goes like "stung rat", handles more than well and looks like it's from another planet! but on the other hand, I understand you well enough... the same way DS5 annoyed you, I get annoyed by dull&boring cars like... new Skoda Octavia... I drove one recently as replacement car and after first drive my comments were similarly spit full as are yours about DS5... after 14 days of use I was bored to the point that I had no comments any more (even when it to broke down - went in to "creep mode" - with 7640km on the clock)... when I got rid of it was probably as happy as you when you climbed out of DS5 :))
sorry to bombard you but I really do think people are angry it doesn't have the classic Citroen ride and it now rides like a normal car, I never had Hydro pneumatic so don't know what Im missing but for a normal car the ride is fine.
comooooooon dude it got a button near reverse cam to open the hatch(hayon); it's not pretty good to be so offesive like hell, however am not admiring Frensh cars at all, German's are better for me
Marek's definitely holding a grudge with Citroens or a fussing German fanboy, as never see Marek hyperventilating over similar issues found in more pricey Germans. Marek 'reviewed' the car in 2014, and the tech bells and whistles in this model is way above the curve. The VW and Mercs at this price range has way harsher suspension. Just driving this car proved Marek's sloopiness. the buttons once you are used to it serves better when driving compared to the endless swipes through touchscreens, the phone can be stowed away in the central console and bluetooth connectivity means you can even make Whatsapp calls via the system. At this proce range, you also get drive safe HUDs as standard, which are mostly extra $$$ on Germans. And the DS5 throws in a massage chair too. At the back, the floors are flat, allowing ample seat for 3. It also come with mood lights, as well as a interior exterior security solutions, you can even opt for an minimalist dashboard at a push of a button for less distracting nivmght drives. Not to mention articulating headlamps and illuminates corners. All that back in 2012, very few cars can beat that. so much so that in 2016, the car still rocks. And finally this thp 210 210bhp I am test driving just smokes most of the latest A classes, baring the AMG 45s, which seriously, is rewarding despite this model being built for refinement rather than performance. The ride may be firm due to its sportier setting, but the handling ia adequate for a car this heavy. True that Citroen should fitted this car with an active hydropneumatic suspension. I wonder if Marek even tried sports mode on this model.
correction, Marek reviewed this car in 2012, and now the roads, including 2016 Germans have taken cues from, or are exhibiting design and tech covergence with the DS5, which was designed in 2011. That says a lot for this car's design and innovation
+Marek Drives I guess, and I meant, apart from proprietary tech like active suspensions, every major maker is adding similar tech kits to their offerings
+Marek Drives. Not in the flesh, especially after they 'retired' their last hydropneumatic systems. Nonetheless, hydractive 3, was by definition an active suspension, though different tech vs BMWs e.g. active drive (correct?) and Mercs e.g. Airmatic. Citroen did announce something is in the works earlier in the year. hopefully it lives up to the comfort of the hydropneumatics. Really missed them. Childhood years in a Xantia
I get around 40 mpg which is not bad considering it is an auto, compared to other cars it is not that fast but you can feel there is a lot of torque there. I hate auto's normally but love this auto. feels very smooth, I test drove the esg before and it was quite jerky. After 2 weeks and 600 miles of driving I still love the car, the guys review is just so wrong about so many things, and the idiot did not even find the damn boot button.....really annoys me.
What a terrible review and 100% rubbish. Obviously he has a problem with Citroen. This car is sexy, fast and one of the smoothest rides out there. Let me guess he is angry because he cant afford to buy one? Foolish review by fired ex Citroen employee.
My suggestion to this guy, is to set some professional standards with regards to reviewing a car, before reviewing on the standards of a car. This is not a review done by a professional but a premeditated slander done by a mediocre ignorant!
PROS: Desenho, motorizações, materias, posição de condução, sharp handling CONS: Headroom in the back, vibrações, expensive
Thanks, years of watching 'Allo 'Allo has taken its toll ;) At least the French have a motor industry. Polish car production has been best summed up year ago by Jeremy Clarkson here: youtu.be / RFQ46fpDOm8 There are some very good cars made by French companies: C6, Laguna Coupe, 208, RCZ, 508 RXH. But IMHO DS5 is just doesn't live up to Citroen's hype about it.

The DS5 is one of the best looking cars on the road!
It's a very beautiful car....
"almost leather"
It was real leather...it is only the part leather seats that is synthetic.
The guy doesn't even know what sunglasses holders are!
aaaaaahahahhaha indeed,i love everything about my DS5
Guy is suck, my DS is just one beauty and I love it ❤️
thats not a review!!! you just hate the car man
For the boot lid, you can open it with a button located near to the registration plate lights. :)
Yup. Did not do his homework.
This guy obviously has a problem with Citroen.....was he sacked by them? He has to be the worst car reviewer in history!!
He just said the truth. And I agree with him. There's nothing innovative and it's very impractical.
On looks alone it blows away any German rival. So what the suspension is not that good or its a bit cramped in the back. It makes you feel different. One of the best and accurate car reviews.
Not nit picking but he describing the actual features and feeling.
Also had no idea what he was talking about and couldn't even find the boot button...that is on the boot.

The button is right under the bumper specialist :-)

Yeah, anybody who has built anything useful ever, knows it's really not the user's fault. If they can't find it, you fucked up during design phase.

***** Depending on the spec. In top trim you get real leather (the one square stitching). This is eco-leather.
I own a Citroen ds5 hybrid and it's amazing so i'm sorry but your review sucks
What an arsehole thing to say.
I'm looking at the hybrid but I'm concerned about fitting a small pushchair as well as the odd bit of shopping. Do you think it would be a struggle?
I think you have to take the pushchair with you, and see for yourself. There's no golden rule "this boot shall fit a small pushchair and some groceries". My friend ended up buying a different car, than the one he originally planned, because at the last moment he tried to fit his particular stroller in the boot, and if just didn't fit no matter the angle.
That was quite a good French accent you made! haha Loved it ^_^
VERY NICE REVIEW , IT REALY HELPFUL FOR ME ! NOW I'LL BUY THE CAR FOR SUR !! (LOOL)
Actually I do have a photo. In the recess above the number plate there are two lights for the number plate, and reversing camera.
This car is a beautiful art
I know what the overhead compartments are for. Usually they are mounted over the rear view mirror, and sometimes double as an additional mirror to watch the kids. But putting them overhead means
A. I can't see them,
B. I have to twist my hand to open them,
C. my sunglasses are likely to fall, possibly on the floor, and I will be forced to stop to look for them.
...love the "Jean-Pierre et Henri" part... but nice car; I like the exterior styling!
Actually Trabants were in East Germany.
@@MarekDrives They were everywhere imported in ex- socialist states, including Slovakia, Czech... Maybe more popular was Polish Fiat 125 🤔
I agree with some of the viewers that this video is not a review based on real driving experiences. No doubt that some of the facts mentioned were true but too exaggerated out of proportion. There are more good features that bad in this car but because the negative aspects were too prominent, its suppressed many more plus points that actually exist in this car.
1. I like the exterior design.
2. The boot is of decent size.
3. Brakes are good.
4. Sound insulation is good.
Disrespectful? Srsly?
Was it really that bad to drive? I'm thinking about buying the newer one (2015-2016) - it has better suspension, but based on reviews it sounds like it's terrible to drive. I'm not looking for a BMW to be honest, but was it at least similar to 308 II (2014+) in terms of handling which I'm currently driving - if it is, then I would be perfectly fine with it. I know it's been a long time since you drove it, and there's a high chance that you forgot how it felt, based on how much cars you reviewed up until now :)
btw. Good luck with your channel - watching your videos all the time, even though I'm not planning to buy those cars, but I like your honest and subjective approach :)
Thp 1.6 eat oil every 3 weeks 1 liter oil gone
Goodness how much I hate those self-claimed critics. Zero background info on the car and most of your lines are copied from other videos. E.g.: Suspension! They couldn't use the hydropn. one because the car would roll too much. Plus, and that's something that almost everyone who actually drives or owns one can agree with, its more than fine. Not superb, but fine. Next would be that you say that there is no innovation. Well, some people like craftsmanship, and it is full of it.
People see what they want to see. Majority here sees me as a German agent out to destroy the DS5 ;)
The car may not be absolutely terrible, but it's nowhere close to what I hoped it would be.
Definitely this could be my ...
This guy dunno anything about car....
Marek, stick to the stand up french impressions - much better than the car review :)
Thanks Steve. what MPG are you getting so far? I'd prefer the auto wary as it's not dual clutch. Thanks again for all the info.
Not sure if they have changed it but my DS5 has a boot button, I know reviews are only an opinion but mine is vastly different to this guys. I love my DS5! great interior, cupholders are wank but apart from a few other niggles I found no major flaws with this car.
Have you heard of the head-up display? Was it on the C6?
Was the Hybrid Diesel on the C6? On any other luxuary/premium D-segment car?
Yeah, the car really sucks.
@@MarekDrivesENG You are very brave in expressing your views for a man who can't find the button to open the trunk 😂 Have a nice day sir!
start by reading the manual
I got it! He is comparing it with the pram his mummy pushed him around in?
My God.... its like a total contrast to my Grand C4 Picasso...... cant believe its made by the same people and company......
This will be interesting
CK NorthPole not
well, i am thinking of buying this car, but i don't know if i should or not, i'm going crazy, it's expensive and i can buy a c class or a bmw in it's price! but i really love the car and i want it so bad, the problem that in my country they don't offer a test drive,, is it really bad to drive? i have a passat, and it really drives well, is the citroen a downgrade in driving experience? and comfort?
4:00 best part ever :D :D .. I must say he's right about a lot of stuffs ...
Ouch, honest and painful run through of the DS5!
Quite many of the small nagging problems seem to have been fixed by the 2014 model. I just did a test drive in one today - boot lid had a button (unusual location), it has cruise control now, and a few other things. Some issues still remain tho.
I love the part with innovative technology :) - it killed me
At 1st, they got the wrong guy of doing this job.
:DDDDDDD nice imitation how french came up with interior :D
Anyhow, I just wanted to ask you not to do any other car-review anymore.
the cubbys above your head are for sunglasses, not sure how they are useless?? quite easy to use when driving if needed
C5 is comfortable. This is a glorified hatchback.
The car was designed before adaptive cruise became mainstream...he is right about the engines however but then again the original DS was slow as well
So now new "innovative" DS5 shoud also be slow etc. This car is just very impractical. IMHO I don't see anything what would make me to drive this car.
No button or lock in the boot for me it's a big security plus. Can only be opened from inside or with the key, sounds like security was prioritized in the design
Actually it's just weirdly placed next to the number plate light, so it's hard to reach, and always filthy.
I drove one recently as replacement car and after first drive my comments were similarly spit full as are yours about DS5... after 14 days of use I was bored to the point that I had no comments any more (even when it to broke down - went in to "creep mode" - with 7640km on the clock)... when I got rid of it was probably as happy as you when you climbed out of DS5 :))
sorry to bombard you but I really do think people are angry it doesn't have the classic Citroen ride and it now rides like a normal car, I never had Hydro pneumatic so don't know what Im missing but for a normal car the ride is fine.
pshhht, that was a secret..now he is going to steel my baby stroller to test it.
comooooooon dude it got a button near reverse cam to open the hatch(hayon); it's not pretty good to be so offesive like hell, however am not admiring Frensh cars at all, German's are better for me
Does he prefer the C6?
04:00 you killed me
Since you like big, simple and nice go get a truck
Actually I dream of a Pontiac Aztek :p
There is a button above the registration plate to the right of the reversing camera
On the contrary ;)
I was going to buy one but its just to rough for the Australian country roads.
Zee German car manufactuher? Vay do you say dat?
Tech convergence? Are you serious?
+Marek Drives I guess, and I meant, apart from proprietary tech like active suspensions, every major maker is adding similar tech kits to their offerings
Robin Tan But Citroen DS5 doesn't have active suspension. It shares C4 Picasso platform, which has a torsion beam suspension.
Childhood years in a Xantia
consider you will never ever be able to sell this car on second hand market, So.buy it only if you're plannig to keep it until the end of our days :P
I promise to be all grown up next time. Noooooot.
Before purchasing DS5, check if you are not a peasants❤️

I get around 40 mpg which is not bad considering it is an auto, compared to other cars it is not that fast but you can feel there is a lot of torque there.
I hate auto's normally but love this auto. feels very smooth, I test drove the esg before and it was quite jerky.
After 2 weeks and 600 miles of driving I still love the car,
the guys review is just so wrong about so many things, and the idiot did not even find the damn boot button.....really annoys me.
What a terrible review and 100% rubbish. Obviously he has a problem with Citroen. This car is sexy, fast and one of the smoothest rides out there. Let me guess he is angry because he cant afford to buy one? Foolish review by fired ex Citroen employee.
You are not allowed to mess with your phone during driving by law in the UK at least. Shite review.
there is a button by the number plate to open the car's boot
Please do a review on RedBull's F1 car !!
My suggestion to this guy, is to set some professional standards with regards to reviewing a car, before reviewing on the standards of a car. This is not a review done by a professional but a premeditated slander done by a mediocre ignorant!
Jean Pierre and Henry :D
CONS: Headroom in the back, vibrações, expensive
So let me just be clear, are you saying you don't like it? :D
Thanks, years of watching 'Allo 'Allo has taken its toll ;)
At least the French have a motor industry. Polish car production has been best summed up year ago by Jeremy Clarkson here: youtu.be / RFQ46fpDOm8
There are some very good cars made by French companies: C6, Laguna Coupe, 208, RCZ, 508 RXH. But IMHO DS5 is just doesn't live up to Citroen's hype about it.
dude you dont know nothing about the cars :)) the phone is not to use when you drive ! LOL
I love your fake French accent, it was very well done! LOL
