I really enjoy making closed forms too. Thanks for the video.
Excellent as usual. My lathe is ready to go, I just have to wait for some parts to arrive, and I'll make something.
Awsome to hear, good luck on new machine
Per usual, your technique is flawless! So enjoyable to watch a real talent turn!
Thank you very much 😀
Wow! You are really smooth at turning! Thanks for showing this.
Thank you😀
Thanks Tomislav , very nice as always!
Thank you😉
Always learn something from you. I would love to see how you sand and finish these pots after warping in the microwave. Thank you.
I'll do that video as well 😀 thank you very much
Well done indeed! I gotta take the time and put an asymmetrical grind on a couple of my bowl gouges. I can see it's just the ticket for these closed shape turnings. Great stuff here Tomislav!
Thank you very much 🤗 go for it,try it and let me know
🕶Very nice Tomislav. Thanks
Thank you Steven
Well done! Your technique is so smooth and easy. Thank you.

Love the "Old World" shape to them.

Thank you!
Thank You for watching 🤗
Parabéns amigo ficou muito bom seu trabalho
Thank you ☺️
so good... I love making those, but my luck in the microwave has been 50/50... I get lots of cracks... going too hot or too long?
Tony,I would say too long, try highest setting but for 30 sec and see if the bowl is steaming and if it really hot.
If not, once the bowl little heat has cool down try 45sec or 1min.
I rarely go over a 90sec , at that point bowl is really hot .
And don't leave the shop (or kitchen😅) while doing this 👍
@@tomislavtomasicwoodturning thank you! I will try that! My wife handed me down an old microwave for the shop... so lets see if I can get moving on that!
Wonderful video, great designs, admirable technique. The first scraper that you used on the inside seemed much bigger. What size was it?
Thank you for kind words 🤗 indeed its bigger scraper, its 38mm wide and 10mm thich from Crown tools
Excelente. What direction does the grain run? Thanks
Thank you,its cross grain orientation, much like bowls
you obviously study Richard Raffan a lot!
He is my mentor 😉
Damn...I have to use the same word again and again...so smoothe! Real nice work done on those pots! What wood is it? Looks like butternut, soft as a baby butt! 😅
Thanks Boris😉 its ash accually, works great.... I'll play with those pots with colors and burning so should be fun 🤗
