I’m a procrastinator (and I suspect have a non-diagnosed ADHD disorder). When I was working I got by because there were deadlines. Now I’m retired there are no deadlines and my life is meaningless, I just drift from day to day. Tomorrow it’s always going to be different. Now I have the book and listen to these little snippets and s slowly things are beginning to change. Thank you. 🙏
You can set daily to do lists or set time blocks. It’s a matter of starting small and adding to it over time. Don’t overwhelm yourself with larger goals as those can lead to more stress on how to accomplish them.
Not very significant side note from a person diagnosed with ADHD (if you suspect you have ADHD, getting it detected could really help you by the way, it's worth it): ADHD means "Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder". So "ADHD Disorder" does not mean much, ahah. Have a lovely day and good luck with your goals!
I just came across your book and your outstanding philosophy. I have been improving my life for 30+ years and have achieved so much. I have always started with the 2 minute rule, and it absolutely does work. Right now, I am restarting my reading books again. I already read 1 and on my way to more. Thank you for reminding me of atomic habits. You're awesome!
By only "telling" yourself to spend only 2-minute willl trick your brain and to view as snack task. But the true is you will always do more than 2-minute for my case it will end up 15-20min and thats a beauty of this concept.
At the initial stages literally workout for two minutes, no more no less After repeating this multiple times, You might ask youself I drive everyday here anyways so why not do it more @@rasyadesu7480 Hope it makes sense

So, we just work out for 2 min?
What he is saying is: simplify your goal as much as possible and make it easy to start.
Goal= workout 4x a week. Start: Get into a push-up position

He's just saying make hard things easy by making it easy to start doing the hard thing.
