    Awesome videos James you did it, I knew you would! lol. I don't believe this has been documented in this detail anywhere else, so you did that too! Thanks for everything!

      I can't wait for these guides to help average joes take "hooptie" ghiblis and quattros and get all the maintenance done and get them running nicely. We'll see.

    I have the same v6 in my 15 quattroporte. It's kind of late now but i had the same issue with the sensor. Instead of removing the intake manifold I just took an old crescent wrench and cut the handle off to about 3 or 4 inches. Reached around the back side of the manifold to change it. You don't have to remove the intake to do this job.

      Yea, I figured that out while I was doing it, but glad that I did it the way I did because I do feel a significant improvement in performance after having cleaned my intake valves.

    Again, I would have left it as is, but kuddos to you for tackling this job. Well done! And your engine bay is so clean! I am jealous!

      Nah, a bad oil pressure sensor will not communicate correctly. So the oil pump may not operate as it should per certain parameters. Most engine failures on '14-15's are blamed on the oil pump. But not everyone checks if oil pressure parameters were correct where the sensor most likely had already been failing for some time. You want to do self checks on these cars once in a while like James did.

    If I break the connector that connects to the oil pressure sensor do I have to replace the wiring and connecter? If so do you happen to know the PN?

      I broke the locking clip on mine trying to get it off. But it is a tight fit on the new sensor, and its seated vertical with the connector upright, so between gravity and the tight fit, it should stay there.

    Hi James, do you think it's possible to replace oil pressure sensor without removing intake manifold?

    • @JamesDIYGarage
      @JamesDIYGarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I do. But you will need to remove the water tray and bucket. And its tight back there, not much room to work.

    How long did it take you and how much did you charge for replacing only the fuel pressure sensor ?
    Appreciate the video !

      Took me 4 days but that time includes video equipment setup and intake valve cleaning and time spent looking for a tool to remove and install the Oil Pressure Sensor. But I think this could be done in a day with proper preparation.

    I have a Maserati M156 3.0 biturbo engine. 95000km mileage. jumped the chain. didn't start. Completely changed the chain set. The marks are all straight. The car started up, everything was fine, but after 10 minutes it began to troit and the error shows that the timing chain had jumped again. The car starts but does not work correctly. Could this be due to oil pressure? what to do. where to look for the problem?

      There is a module that sits on top of your battery that will need to be replaced. Then you will be able to start the car. Replacing it is easy.

      @@cryptososa2062 did you by any chance engage the emergency transmission unlock lever in that little panel on the driver side floor? If so disengage it 1st. If not do not touch it. Post this in the Maserati Facebook groups. Some one there may have an answer. I have never heard of this before.
