Thank you so so much for posting a thorough explanation on how to do this! My babyboy bacio is going through G.I. stasis right now, sadly theres no where thats open that treats rabbits at this time, but once they open in the morning im rushing him straight to our vet.😥💔

Thank you for the thorough explanation. One of mine is in GI stasis right now. I went to the ER vet (rabbit savvy) with her and was sent home with a bunch of meds and very careful instructions, except for this massage. I knew I could massage, but feel safer doing it now that I've watched your video of the steps.
I will still call the vet again of she gets worse, of course.

My bunny is going through gi stasis and I'm so scared I can't go to an emergency vet rn and I have no critical care. I'm trying my best to massage his belly. I'm scared

Lena so sorry to hear this! Stasis is definitely scary. Do you have a good emergency kit on hand? Ours includes pain medication (prescribed by a vet), gas drops, an Assisi Loop as well as critical care (or we make a slurry with their pellets) and syringes with the tip cut off to make syringe feeding easy. Sending lots of well wishes for your bun and keep us posted!

Hey there @cfc1232 I am sorry I am just now seeing this. Are you on Facebook? If so I would ask in House Rabbit Society and there is also Exotic Pet Vet Corner. I usually try and address pain (maybe a warm pad?) and massage and giving sips of fluid, you can make a mush to syringe feed but if there is a blockage that can be dangerous. You can use gas drops (make sure no weird ingredients). www.elwoodvet.net/news/2018/1/29/bunny-bellies-managing-gut-stasis I am not sure if there is anything rabbit safe in your country to give. We use meloxicam here and that is something available to dogs (not sure if you have a dog vet)

Honestly that sounds like something else going on, she needs a vet there could be infection, stones, or sludge. Gas drops for kids are ok (check for fake sweeteners like sorbitol)

My rabbit has 2 little bubbles on her side. What can I do

Are you able to get to the vet? That is what needs to happen. This link may help too. Simethicone is a common over the counter treatment, often vets prescribe specific pain medications and you can keep your rabbit on a heat pad on low but you must make sure the heat pad is wrapped in a towel so it doesn't burn them.

My bunny will not let me do this. She will come cudle but if I even try toput her in any position...she is not having it...just giving her criti al care is going give me a heat attack.

Kandace so sorry for the delay. I offer complimentary consultations. Many rabbits do get stressed about this and we find ways to manage in emergencies and then out of context train. You can schedule a complimentary consultation here: totalpetnc.com or if you would like a deeper dive you can schedule an hour long consultation as a rabbit session vs. the complimentary consultation
