Being a part time audio installer, stinger is a good brand to use. The fuse holder next to the battery would work fine. I’ve used those fuse holders in higher watt system. I do want to say that the sub and the amp are not really putting out the power it claims.
I just got the exact same kick panels, I was curious how people are mounting them, the passenger side fits like garbage on mine too lol. Good video, thanks.
@@CLASSICSAREBETTER I used sheet metal screws to mount mine. I made the hole in the plastic panel slightly bigger for minor adjustments. Looks better if you use black screws or paint the head of the screw black. Thanks for watching
Great video and very helpful. I just got my kick panels for my 66. Do you remember what type (self tap?), size, were the screws and washers you used to hold those kick panels in place?

Charlie- did you hook the powered sub to the boss amp? I am buying the same set up for my C10 and want to run a sub. From what I’ve read, I haven’t seen anything that says you can run a powered sub from it but I’d love to. Thx!
For the speaker panels I used black Philips head screws probably around one inch long. Mounting the subwoofer, Bluetooth amp are the same type of screws just shorter. All the hardware I used I already had in my garage.
You have made a lot of creative choices to get around problems. Great stuff.

Thanks for the reply. I ended up changing the fuse holder to a different style and hid it under the battery box. Looks cleaner than before
Keep the videos coming. Sounds great. I put carpet in mine after putting sound barrier to cover it all up. Great job.
Thanks. I might put black carpet if I can’t find a full size floor mat.
@@Chickeneyegarage Yes I would definitely recommend Carpet. It covers all the way to behind the gas tank.

Great video! I also have a 66c10.
Thanks. I think 66 is my favorite year of all the 60-66 c10s
Charlie whats the pull knob for on drivers side by seat?
There’s a bell on the other side of the floor. Push on the knob and it’s sounds off the bell. It was on there when I bought the truck

Need to see how you mounted your seat belts
My truck came with the factory nuts welded to the cab for the shoulder strap part of the belt. It made it real easy to install.
now how do you add fm radio to it so you can go to the drive in ?
Probably a fm radio app

I Wonder if you could make a 1/4" steel rod to cross up and over the components and make the seat slide work? Nice work btw.
It’s possible. I kept the old rod so I may try to come up with something in the future.
What size screws ?
Summers coming on. Is it AC time?
Man I wish it was. I hoping to do that next year for sure.

Does the driver's side speaker block the dimmer switch?
I can get my foot in there but it’s harder to access than before.
How’s the sound system holding up after a couple of years?

RCA output and the remote power wire connects from the boss amp to the sub.

Someday I’ll put a gas tank in the back of the frame but right now it’s not on the priority list.
How has the sub held up?
Works great! No issues so far.
Does the sub rattle the cab door badly,? And sound terrible?
Installing mine today
I would of went with Retrosound..😊
