Funny you should say that about Starscream and nobody having him. As I think back, I was the only one who had him amongst my friends. I always loved the character and the toy. My old Starscream has seen better days. He went with me everywhere.
It's amazing to see how great these were for their time!! The alt modes are spot on, and although the bot modes are a bit weak... But, for the 80's they were amazing!
Jose Martinez Homeland Easter baskets in 2008 came backed with all these G1 transformers, but guess what they were not licensed by Hasbro but they transformed exactly the same, it was like whatever company that produced them got the molds and made real good cheap knockoffs.
@@trumpstroll7438 they weren't knockoffs, the ___-storm seeker trio were in one since episode of the original g1 cartoon, and I don't think they ever got American toy releases. For the record, they were basically starscream clones in terms of design, but not in terms of character (cuz they didn't really have any character lol)
After watching this, I went to my attic and opened a gaint box to expose the original G1 seeker team and forgot how brutal they were thanks mitch for the memories, and keep going strong and roll out.
Wow this brings me back! Transformers, Gobots, M.A.S.K, GI Joe and Rambo figures were my childhood. Unfortunately I was never able to collect whole sets of any kind. There was always one that was hard to find.
Takara did do a reissue of Starscream with an orange cockpit and lighter blue fists and feet, designed to be more show accurate. he also came with a Megatron gun and the fists were molded to hold it.
Thundercracker was my first Transformer. Loved him. But I still have frustrated memories of those rear horizontal fins that never stayed on. I remember constantly putting tiny torn squares of paper towels in the holes to give the fins’ pegs enough friction to stay in. Always wondered if I’m the only one. Haven’t seen him in decades.
Ya I love the Seekers... Such consistantly awesome molds, although I am a bit bias since my very first Transformer was the one and only Thundercracker!!
I will be picking up Sunstorm, Starscream, Thundercracker, & Skywarp. I have the Platinum Edition (PE) set of Thrust, Dirge, and Ramjet I bought last year in May 2015!
I managed to get the six old planes, the one I could never find was Frenzy (res cassette) and Ravage. Skywarp was my first ever Decepticon transformer, I had Gears before him.
Skywarp is my favorite, mostly because I imagine him having Nitro Zeus' voice and loudmouth personality, combined with Skywarp's prankster personality.
Interesting. I have a Generation 1 poster from 1984 and it only shows Skyward, Thundercracker and Starscream. But I agree, hardly anyone around me had Starscream.
Man sure do love this mold!! I actually just bought Acid Storm which is my first ever Masterpiece. Luckily TRU had one left buying him direct was the only way I could ever afford something like this!
Mitch, one of your BETTER reviews in months. You know why ? Because when you talked about your Seekers you really could not hide your love for them (not that you were trying too). Kind of reminded me of how you did your reviews two or so years back BEFOR you became a front man for BBTS... I miss that passion.
I got Thrust brand new when he first came out. I had a lot of Transformers and NES games that got stolen by kids I played with growing by up. They were so jealous. I had Optimus Prime, it’s missing too. I still have my Metroplex and some others. Now i’m in my 40’s, I’ve started back collecting Transformer stuff.
I had them all except Sunstorm as a kid. Luckily I wprked at a toy store and snagged any G1 I wanted when the shippers came in. Still have every one of them but they are so loose and need their weapons.
Great Review! Ramjet looks awesome! My son just got a Transformers Prime THUNDERTRON Star Seeker - I assumed it would be a sleek Jet like the G-1's, but his other mode is... LION Mode! Oh well, my son was still thrilled. Thanks for SHARING THESE!
My older brother had 2 Starscreams. One looks possibly like an early 90s reissue. The other says 1980 on it. I didn't think they'd have been that old. Actually I think it say '1980, 1983. ' He also had Thrust. I wanted Thundercracker.
Awesome video! Question for the group / Mr. Mitch Santona: Why do Sunstorm & Dirge have the purple wing stickers flipped? Is that because they are newer and painted on & with that said, does that mean that that is how it was intended by the manufacturer and we put the stickers on wrong (facing noseward)? Personally, I think they should all be 'looking' the same way, like how Skywarp is. Thank you all for sharing your thoughs here!
Never heard of Sunstorm until now. I do remember seeing an all yellow seeker on Cybertron in a season 1 episode where Megatron ordered these un-named jets to create acid rain for an attack on a hand full of autobots. In fact i thought this toy you have there was in relation to this at first, but the yellow seeker had a Cybertronic transformation having never made it to earth. In the pilot season 1 episode there were several un-named seekers on earth scenes. Mostly for background shots, but a scene involving an attack on Trailbreaker involved a pair of all Purple seekers if i remember correctly. I believe there was a green one too. I always thought of buying and repainting a few Thundercrackers to use as the un-named "Jet Warriors" as we called them as kids. You got a nice collection there. The only one i failed to get was Ramjet back then. And my Starscream was a generic under a different product name.
One of my fondest memories was going to Botcon 96 in Chicago and they had dealers with tables just piled up with spare parts. I bought Thrust's body, no hands, wings, guns or the other accessories for $5 then later on at the show, I bought all the attachments to make a fully complete figure. Five bucks for the body, then $1-$2 a piece on the extra parts. I wound up getting him for under $25 at that show, when the complete seeker jets were going for $40-$50 at the other dealer tables. Thrust was my favorite of the cone heads as a toy and as the cartoon character actually seemed more competent than Ram Jet and Dirge who came off as just two more goons working with Starscream. Without a doubt, Sky Warp is the best looking one of the lot!
Acid Storm is a part of the Seekers but he came out a bit later. He has the original six there which is awesome. As a kid I had Thundercracker and Starscream, and I'm hoping I can find my G1 collection one of these days!!
MItch, something you said about G1 Starscream being rare and unavailable in your area rings true with me too. Since I got into collecting G1 Transformers 3 years ago, I can't find a G1 version of Starscream.. I have a Commemorative Series reissue and a Power Of The Primes version, but not a G1. I can't find Sunstorm anywhere either.
I've never had any of these, I've been trying to get a G1 Starscream and someone I know has had one waiting to be sent to me for the past several years but sadly I'm still waiting. Shame the Seekers aren't likely to get a full G1 reissue set with all six, Sunstorm not included.
looks good for a toy from 1985. all my toys from the 80s are gone :-( I had so many and now they are all gone :-( I can't believe I don't have at least one
I just HAD to subscribe. This is the 4th video of his I watch tonight, and he's got such life & pizzazz in his voice. It's very refreshing & comically entertaining. He's got SUCH an infectious laugh....I laugh every time he does. This is very refreshing compared to some of the dull, monotone reviewers I've been watching.
Skywarp is the only one i have out of this collection and he is a reissue, its a shame as i didn't see any of the other released in my area eccept for Starscream but i had no money for him at the time. At most i want to get Starscream and Sunstorm out of this set but getting the others would be nice too.
Cool! Love the video man!!! I have Skywormp, Thunercracker, and Dridge!!! They are the old ones from 1983 or 1984! I do not think I spelled them right!
When he said there was so much more potential for skywarp bio wise he fulfilled it when he become cyclones and became galvatrons second in command and no fucking bombshell is a sweep who is a fucking minion and not important to galvatron
Y'know how as a kid there was always that one toy that you always wanted, but never got - and it kind of stays in your mind forever? Mine is Starscream - My cousin had one and I craved it, (I did manage to get Soundwave off him - with Laserbeak no less). The only Starscream I ever had was that weird one where there was an outer shell like a mutated man, and the little robot was inside - but that wasn't anywhere near as cool.
I just picked up a G1 Skywarp recently. Damn thing is as loose as hell. In robot mode, I can't get the cockpit to stay in place as the chest / torso. It keeps swinging away forcing Skywarp's head to constantly look upward. The wings are barely holding on as it is. Still, for a G1 without the original box, and considering the condition, I got it for a decent price.
Funny you should say that about Starscream and nobody having him. As I think back, I was the only one who had him amongst my friends. I always loved the character and the toy. My old Starscream has seen better days. He went with me everywhere.
I never had Starscream as a kid, couldn't find him at all, so we had sky warp
Even as a kid I loved just looking at these in plane mode, they were the best looking Transformers. Especially Thrust and Skywarp.
Nice seeing those different colored seekers that was on the pilot and season 1 episodes.
It's amazing to see how great these were for their time!! The alt modes are spot on, and although the bot modes are a bit weak... But, for the 80's they were amazing!
My most favorite sublines of the Transformers. To be able to use one mold for all of these different characters was pure genius. Seekers Rule!! :)
My number one favorite G1 Decepticon seeker is Starscream “Air Commander”.
I have been collecting Transformers since they first came out. I have all the planes and I have never heard of Sunstorm.
Sunstorm was the only seeker i ever had
Jose Martinez Homeland Easter baskets in 2008 came backed with all these G1 transformers, but guess what they were not licensed by Hasbro but they transformed exactly the same, it was like whatever company that produced them got the molds and made real good cheap knockoffs.

I don't count Sunstorm as an official Hasbro G1. For the jets you had: Starscream, Thundercracker, Skywarp(1984) and Dirge, Ramjet, Thrust(1985)
Im 24years old now and had watched these growing up, its nice to cary my child with me into my adult life. Still love these videos!
Cool, if you store the nose wheel in the cockpit not only does it keep it from getting lost the added weight stops the annoying 'swing'.
If I had that many G1 Seekers, I’d swap their accessories around like crazy.
I had Skywarp as a child, I loved him so much I even took him school with me...O.o
Funny enough he did get stolen put he was returned :P
Yep hahah >.
Storming Thunder you might have got detention for bringing toys
Storming Thunder dumbass
Storming Thunder the teacher could of took it away from you
After watching this, I went to my attic and opened a gaint box to expose the original G1 seeker team and forgot how brutal they were thanks mitch for the memories, and keep going strong and roll out.
It's amazing how well the G1 Seeker mold has held up!!! Very cool.
Wow this brings me back! Transformers, Gobots, M.A.S.K, GI Joe and Rambo figures were my childhood. Unfortunately I was never able to collect whole sets of any kind. There was always one that was hard to find.

Ya I love the Seekers... Such consistantly awesome molds, although I am a bit bias since my very first Transformer was the one and only Thundercracker!!
My favourite is skywarp and I do actually have my dads original pre-rub symbol skywarp from 84 but the cockpit snapped and I have to glue it back on
Intro song brings back memories...
Trrrraaaaaannnnnnssssssffffoooooorrrrrrmmmmmeeeeeerrrrrsssssdss
I will be picking up Sunstorm, Starscream, Thundercracker, & Skywarp. I have the Platinum Edition (PE) set of Thrust, Dirge, and Ramjet I bought last year in May 2015!
WILLIE FRANCIS I’m getting the platinum edition of Dirge, Ramjet, and Thrust as well. I’m also getting Skywarp.
when spike goes to cybertron in an episode you do see sunstorm and acidstorm in cybertron in some control room then transforming and fly
I managed to get the six old planes, the one I could never find was Frenzy (res cassette) and Ravage. Skywarp was my first ever Decepticon transformer, I had Gears before him.
I love my 2006 reissue of Star Scream. It is just a perfect design with great articulation and G1 TV likeness.
Thank you! That's a wonderful and beautiful collection of seekers you got there. Take care!
1984 is season 1, starscream, thundercracker and skywarp appear at that time, in season 2, 1985 , the conehead seeker appear, sandstorm never appear
***** oh the seeker guard that block bumblebee and wheeljack
***** mine is the episode where optimus get sliced in to a lot of pieces (city of steel)
pete karousos ITS SKY WARP OR SKY WARF
@@rodimusunicronus2089 sandstorm was in one of the first episodes on cybertron along with acid rain/storm and another I dont of
Now this was an AWESOME Thursday throw back. Thanks for the upload and can't wait to see the next one :)
Man sure do love this mold!! I actually just bought Acid Storm which is my first ever Masterpiece. Luckily TRU had one left buying him direct was the only way I could ever afford something like this!
What's funny is that all six of the seekers you have were released in G1 and the seventh was a ehobby toy that came with an Autobot named Roadhauler.
There was another one the ghost starscream
Transformers seeker coleten zollandzol
@ .

Just added G1 Thundercracker, Dirge and Thrust to my collection. Still looking for Ramjet, Sunstorm and Starscream.
6672rock Oh Wow! Ironically,I've done the exact same. Can't wait to complete my Seekers Collection.
Just you know, Sunstorm was not a G1 release, at least in the US. Уоu'll complete your collection with six.
Great video. Back in the day the only seeker I had was starscream. And the only one I don't have right now is sunstorm.
Awesome video and these guys are the start of hasbro's massive repaint from a single mold
My older brother had 2 Starscreams. One looks possibly like an early 90s reissue. The other says 1980 on it. I didn't think they'd have been that old. Actually I think it say '1980, 1983. ' He also had Thrust. I wanted Thundercracker.
Now that's one heck of a fine review dude! gotta love those seeker jets! nicely done indeed if I may say! ;)

excellent question. i dont have an answer to that one!!

hey what song is that during the transformations?
great vid by the way.

As a kid I had SkyWarp But now all I have left of him is a rudder.
Just started collecting the original seekers. This review makes me glad I am. :)
MItch, something you said about G1 Starscream being rare and unavailable in your area rings true with me too. Because of the new reissues at Walmart I got Starscream finally
I am officially jealous of your collection! Its amazing!!
I had Starscream and Ramjet I wished I had the other 5. Also shouldn’t Sunstorm be the original triangle cybertron shaped?
I've never had any of these, I've been trying to get a G1 Starscream and someone I know has had one waiting to be sent to me for the past several years but sadly I'm still waiting.
Shame the Seekers aren't likely to get a full G1 reissue set with all six, Sunstorm not included.
I never owned any of them, was very hard with lots of brothers getting TFs since they where very expensive, lucky you to have them all ^^
thundercracker is my favorite transformer ever
Starscream's my personal favorite of the seekers. Awesome collection Mitch! :D
looks good for a toy from 1985. all my toys from the 80s are gone :-(
I had so many and now they are all gone :-(
I can't believe I don't have at least one
sgreen4 i feel your pain
Sunstorm was only one episode of G1 from the back, I thought he should bean on the show more, that would have been great!
I have thrust in my shed and it was my favorite Air Force vehicle V.T.O.L, sadly my skyward fell to my mothers kindness and was given away.
i only had Thrust when i was a kid... which is why he's still my favorite.
I just HAD to subscribe. This is the 4th video of his I watch tonight, and he's got such life & pizzazz in his voice. It's very refreshing & comically entertaining. That is an awesome collection. Did they ever make an Acid Storm in the G1 series? I can't remember.
I have all of these. Plus four star transistors phantom f 15 eagle (WHITE),and black
Skywarp is the only one i have out of this collection and he is a reissue, its a shame as i didn't see any of the other released in my area eccept for Starscream but i had no money for him at the time.
At most i want to get Starscream and Sunstorm out of this set but getting the others would be nice too.
I lived in the Metro area too at that time, and I couldn't find Starscream, either.
Awesome review,I have the Hasbro G1 Reissue Of Skywarp and like having him in my collection :)
I painted the faces and eyes on mine to match the show characters, including making Thrust's face silver with yellow eyes.
That is sooo cool how u still have your own ramjet from days of old.
Acid Storm is my favorite of the Seekers, besides Starscream.
Fantastic review as always! :D
It's so nice to see them all together!
Sunstorm is my favorite...I love that yellow paint job
this video was the first time i heard the word "thrust" now im planning to be an aeronautical engineer :)
Were the G2 Transformers made out of die-cast metal or were they made out of cheap plastic?
Got em, plus the black Starscream. I had Thrust back then as a kid, sadly it was just the body without wings.lol
Cool! Love the video man!!! I have Skywormp, Thunercracker, and Dridge!!! They are the old ones from 1983 or 1984! I do not think I spelled them right!
Skywormp, thunercracker, and dirdge? You mean skywarp, thundercracker, and dirge.
Astrotrain Reviews1 hahahahahahah you spelled all they're names wrong
Ahh yes for real old school. My favorite is Dirge. Think I just dig the name.
I've got the six jets but never heard of Sunstorm, the yellow F-15 seeker.
sweet, a throw back vid. Nicely done bro-beenz!
When he said there was so much more potential for skywarp bio wise he fulfilled it when he become cyclones and became galvatrons second in command and no fucking bombshell is a sweep who is a fucking minion and not important to galvatron
3 F-15 eagle fighter jets are Starscream the air commander of seekers, Skywarp the black seeker and Thundercracker the blue seeker.
my dad had starscream when he was little
jesus. that makes me feel old!!
Neat!
Same with my dad! When I went to the store I found a starscream in the middle of the toy isle.
My Dad has Optimus Prime
These diaclone toys looked so much better than a lot of the season 3 stuff and most combiners
I have all of these except Sunstorm. I also have Kingdam 6 Starscream mint all 7 are complete.
I had got starscream from Santa in 80s !
Y'know how as a kid there was always that one toy that you always wanted, but never got - and it kind of stays in your mind forever? Grew up with Megatron but always hd some form of a seeker, namely, Starscream.
I would always put the landing gear inside the canopy
I've always wanted Thrust and Sunstorm.
ones im familiar with starscream thundercracker skywarp ramjet and dirge from transformers cybertron on ds
I have masterpiece sun storm and sky warp and thundercracer
I had both Starscream, and Thundercracker jets from The Transformers.
My top 3. Favorite seekers 3.thrust,2.dirge,1.thundercracker
Awesome collection.
very cool review!! best TT ever!! and hey if drewsiferxxx is correct congrats!!!!
I just completed my original 6 g1/reissue seeker collection a few weeks ago by finally getting starscream
I got my first Starscream at Tf Nation and I love him
Funny you said that I had skywarp and even jetfire with the armor but not starscream.
Just ordered my first purchase from BBTS, took 2 days just to make it to UPS to be shipped. Not exactly amazon fast.
I have Screamer, Thundercracker, and Skywarp. Skywarp is the only reissue of the 3.
Loving these! Im trying to get all of them in masterpice versions! Regret selling them :(
