So lovely to see the palace in this context, having grown up in the area, but lived in Sweden for decades. Ah, rolling down down the grassy slopes, walking the corgi beside the lake, kissing the boyfriend behind a handy yew tree... Thank you!

I liv e only a few miles from here. cheers. I didnt realise Wentworth was filmed here.(not that i watch it, but would have thought it a bit far afield for their usual set)

Yes indeed, many of the locations for Seasons 1 - 3 were filmed in places near Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling... :)

Does an yon e know what happened to the floors. You can especially in the "apartments" shot an royl chambers, where there would have been floors, especially the position of the grand fireplace in the wall three floors up, only theres no floors. Always wondered if there had been a fire or something that destroyed it,but cant seem to find anything so far. Cheers

Thanks for tuning in! :) Most of the interiors would have rotted away or been removed over the centuries, but there are no 'official' accounts that survive, which tell us the fate of the internal fixtures and fittings, sadly! :(

    What city is this near?

Linlithgow lies exactly hafway between the citis of Glasgow to the west and the capital city of Edinburgh to the east, both approx 20 miles to either.Falkirk s only about 5 mile away an d probably the nearest big town, but not a city.
