- Less than half of people in the UK now identify as Christian, according to the recent census. Did this decline begin with the age of New Atheism? In the latest episode of Into the Truth, we speak to Justin Brierley, author of "The Surprising Rebirth of Belief in God: Why New Atheism Grew Old and Secular Thinkers Are Considering Christianity".
Brierley discusses the rise of New Atheism - why did it happen and why did it have such a wide effect? He also shares his optimism about people rethinking Christianity, the impact of secular cultural commentators, including Jordan Peterson and Tom Holland, and the meaning crisis.

Watch our video to see why Christianity isn’t imploding 🙂
About the “new atheism” movement: mocking Jesus didn’t stop Christianity from spreading two thousand years ago and Dawkins’s foolish mockery won converts but you scratch behind the surface of Dawkins and there was nothing there.
Yes absolutely!
The fall of New Atheism hit terminal velocity with sick burns in the comments section. 😎

Even when I was an atheist, I always knew that we were fortunate to live in a society based on the proposition, "that God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten Son to the end that men should not perish but have ever lasting life."
