As a person with a PhD in polymers, YES so true not to use plastics for food if you can avoid it (transfer to a plate before microwaving a meal, for example). BUT if you want to, silicone is honestly not bad for you. Silicones are basically the same material building blocks as sand ... and don't burn into anything, let alone anything bad for you, on head contact. Whereas, plastics are basically made of the same building blocks as gasoline which you def don't want to eat. So when in doubt, choose silicones and don't be afraid of it (they take forever to wear out, so buying 1 silicone spatula might be more sustainable than buying like 4 wooden spatulas)
@@chelsmeister what you say is true about the basic material of silicone. Why not just use a bowl as a microwave cover? Or a large microwaveable container? I guess it depends on how large of a dish you’re putting in the microwave.. but I mostly microwave things straight from the fridge that are already in microwaveable Tupperware, so it seems silly to buy another entire product just for that purpose, it’s just more large clutter, with nooks and crannies that are annoying to clean.. and for the ‘steaming compartment’ I just add water to the dish before I put it in the microwave, or you can use a small cup and fill it with water. A lot of these things were initially created for disabled people. People with chronic issues like muscle pain. Reusable products are ALWAYS a good thing. Don't see why people are saying the contrary. It also saves you money on not having to buy those products again. I am also trying to have less plastic so replacing kitchen utensils with bamboo ones. As well as my brush and pen holders, also in bamboo. Remember though to sell, exchange or donate anything you are replacing/getting rid of. :)
What's the first R? Reduce. Reuse is second because it's worse to buy unnecessary junk and reuse it, encouraging its creation, than it is to never buy it.
i know the majority of these things people dont necessarily need, but for people who executive dysfunction, excessive fatique, who are autistic or have adhd, disabled, et cetera, items like these would bring ease and make their lives easier. maybe the average joe doesnt need it. but these items could very well be needed by disabled and neurodivergent people. ps: executive dysfunction is when it feels excessively difficult to simply get up and do normal daily tasks, let alone work. to quote, "Children and adults with executive dysfunction often struggle to organize materials, regulate emotions, set schedules and stick with tasks. They misplace papers, reports, and other school materials. They might have similar problems keeping track of their personal items or keeping their bedroom organized." for those who's executive function part of the brain works, this isnt an issue for you, but it can very well be for many neurodivergent people. oh, neurodivergence is basically when your brain is wired in a way that isn't the norm. people with bpd, ptsd, autism, adhd, anxiety, down-syndrome, and other conditions are considered neurodivergent (versus neurotypical, which means your brain functions normally.)

1. keep the drinks in the cardboard box it comes in or stack them as needed 2. metal strainer that every kitchen should have 3. keep liquids in og packaging, hidden in cabinet if wanted 4. spoon and reusable travel mug 5. knife 6. i can actually see the use in this but im sure there is a hack i don’t know about that does this already 7. i like these but you can also use tin foil 8. ice maker in freezer consumerism is too much these days
The air frier things are useful. My airfrier is kind of old and the basket starts to be sticky... Those things really solve that problem and increase the years of utility of the product

Most of these are not necessarily to have..they will just clutter your house but a couple things will be effective to have.
These are the most useless shit I've ever seen in my whole life
Ok the chopping cup was actually pretty cool
So are knives, lols!😂
@@i_H8m0neeTok😂😅😂😅😂😅
The microwave cover actually seems useful
U can just use a plate or a bowl
Or nothing and just warm it in a pan!
Wet paper towel down ea the exact same shit. Or a small bowl of water. Just literally add water to your rice to steam it
@@PicturesSGC Yhea because we ALL have 5-10 minutes to wait for the pan to heat up and cook it thoroughly or 10-20 to wait for the oven or air fryer
Some of us work honey
@@Queerlienbut what about shatterproof. It can be hard to clean the area. Especially if your disabled or if your roommates are A-holes who put the dam thing at the highest shelf so you have to balance on a chair because your 5 feet and no one sees how hard life is when your shorter than anything in your house
Just a lot of cute junk to clutter up my kitchen. Oh wait, i really need those silicone air fryer basket liners!👍🏾😆
Then don't buy if you don't like it
There are some that lay flat and can be bent to fit a steamer or pot. I like that design more.
@@thekarmicbrat - duhhh Captain Obvious 😆🤭
Just don’t throw it in dishwasher, because next time when you cook in it the food will taste like soap..
I prefer the parchment paper ones for the airfyer. I just throw them out and no cleaning at all lol. I'm that lazy
The ice cube tray is life-changing!
"amazon bullshit that I didn't need and you don't either"
And another bitter witch😂
Thanks for telling me what I need and what I don’t need. I wouldn’t have known without your advice!
@@diannespalding6542 Yeah friendo, I definitely don't know what you need. Neither does the person who made the video who was paid or given free product to advertise, lmao
@@arininquotes8396🤣
I don't need any of these items, but I do WANT them!!!!!😂
The ice maker is very hard to push the ice out. I have to bear dpw all my weight on it to push out the ice and I’m overweight
Good to know, I was gonna check that out, lol.
I actually find the simple IKEA ice cube maker the best, the cubes come out very easily!
Yes! You have to fill the cubes just right for it not to be a challenge - and while I’m short, I’m not light. So I completely agree lol
Yeah, we didn't have an ice tray so we bought this one last year - and while I love that it stores the ice, and prefer the shape of the cubes, it is NOT easy to get the ice out. Feels like I'm about to break it every time.
Yeah, they suck!!!!! Waste of money! Better to go antiquing in search of a metal one.
Friendly reminder Store food in glass containers as much as you can❤
Friendly reminder to dont try to dictacte Others which products they are allowed to use 😊
Nah, I'm good. Thanks for the suggestion, though.
No, please DONT. A lot of food is packaged in opaque containers for a good reason.
Unfortunately people don’t understand how much harm comes from plastic. Knowledge is power. 💕
Reminder keep it in the plastic and don’t put your already fine products into useless plastic because you want the ✨aesthetic✨. Also mould will form and you won’t be able to tell when it expires. Just keep your food in the plastic, don’t waste your money. There is no viable reason to buy such a wasteful thing unless it’s for the ✨aesthetic ✨
I love the reusable silicone liner :) 😊
Me too! Theyre worth their weight in gold. Im handicapped and cant stand long to hand wash stuff, so i love that they go into the dishwasher. 😊👍
Same here; I use butter paper but these ones seem better
I have one! I'm happy I don't need to keep buying the aluminium liners now since they'd get misshapen.
My grandparents bought the rolling dispenser months ago I think it’s so good
Thanks for sharing, I was wondering how well it worked…
But let’s be honest: no one cooks that little pasta😂😂😂😂
Lol right! 😂 I have a family of 5 so I need a strainer bigger than that😂😂😂
@@ShopandMorewithKimberlyNSantosme tooo😝😝😝
Perfect for a senior who lives alone!
@@diannespalding6542 I guess so!!😁
And no one should overcook pasta that much
Lol for heating up my rice and other foods in the microwave I just use a Pyrex bowl. Add a little water according to the amount of the food you want to heat and put a Pyrex bowl, if you have one, on it in the microwave so when it’s heating up it doesn’t lose moisture and gets heated very well that’s easy.
I have just got the glass dispenser bottles and look stunning! Soo many label choices
I love looking at new gadgets! Love these videos! Of course, I don’t buy what I don’t need but it’s nice to know what’s out there!
Trust me you don’t really need all this. Coming from someone who used to be a consumerist, i learned the value of a penny and just owning things you actually need when I experienced my lowest financial downfall. Plus it’s alot of plastic that will only end up in trash or unused after you get bored of it or when you move residence. Also, the products scream cheap-luxury
I can’t believe how much negativity exists in this comment section. I enjoyed hearing about different items that could make one’s life in the kitchen easier. Doesn’t mean I will run to the computer to buy them all; just means I am better informed about what is available. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much for your support ☺️ I barely check my TH-cam comments cause people are so mean on here 😪
@@BrookesBuysYour fans need you. Keep up the good work.
Yessss I love this comment. We need more people who will show support of others.
Same here.....I like YT videos of any length with new kitchen, dining and storage gear. It's fun to see what creative minds have thought up and brought to the retail market, and they're interesting conversation topics as well.
@@BrookesBuys Thanks for the video and never mind the uptight haters, they are not your audience. I will consider purchasing a few of these products and it is nice to know what creative products are out there.
Guys, we know it’s “unnecessary” and whatever. But literally she’s just sharing products she recommends because it made her daily life more convenient. She’s not forcing you to buy it, she just recommends the products for anyone who may be looking for gadgets to get to make life easier. Stop saying that it’s unneeded because we KNOW. You don’t need it, but doing stuff would be a lot easier if you did. I’m also not encouraging you to buy it, but stop spamming the comments with that because we’ve all heard it a thousand times.
The water strainer nd the air fryer thing seems cool
Water strainers that aren't made of cheap plastic already exist? This doesn't do anything novel or interesting.
So many of these are completely pointless. Don't you ever feel bad about trying to sell useless shit to people, knowing the cost of making those gadgets on our world? Do you never think about the people who were paid slave wages to make those? Do you never worry that the children around you won't get to grow up knowing seasons and breathable air? Does none of that matter more than making a quick buck?
A lot of these things were initially created for disabled people. People with chronic issues like muscle pain. People with mental disabilities, etc. But they advertise it to the wider audience to expand the market. But truthfully the creators are usually people who had severe issues and created these things as a solution.
Most of these gadgets aren’t at fault. The over-consumerism is. The people selling these garner only a portion of the blame. The customers who have zero awareness or common sense are mostly to be blamed.
@@atiqahdiyana5665 Yeah, and I don't have an issue with people using them if they need them, but that's clearly not what this short is about.
@@catIing no that’s now what I mean. I’m saying the larger responsibility lies more on the consumer when it’s given in that context. The current existence of tiktok unfortunately encourages consumerism because people just lack self awareness over what need and what they don’t. This isn’t like some kind of checkmate reply. This is just me bouncing off of your comment with my own thoughts
I pray you receive this message in love. No need to be mean. Have you considered that your negative comment can cause someone else emotional stress? Think about if you posted a video that you'd hope a few people would enjoy instead, your inbox is flooded with negative commentary. There is enough hate in the world. I actually like all of these items, while I wouldn't buy all of them, it's my opinion as to why. When we encounter material that we feel isn't beneficial to us, we can choose to entertain something else- no need to offer negative feedback if it wasn't solicited.
@@danielle3735 Have you considered that consumerism can cause much worse than "emotional stress"? You aren't advocating for kindness, you're advocating for willful blindness and selfish individualism.
If this woman trying to make money off of advertising questionable products online didn't ask for my opinion, then I'm curious why you think I asked for yours.
honestly yeah, silicone liners are a must in air fryers. a lot of these are more luxuries than must haves but that and the steamer are both very useful
Reusable products are ALWAYS a good thing. Don't see why people are saying the contrary. It also saves you money on not having to buy those products again. Yes, fabric can have holes, but it lasts for years instead of buying those products FOR years. Some great products are: washable makeup remover pads, washable period pads, fabric pot covers, 'unpaper' towels. As well as washable aluminum foil and parchment paper.
True true!
Agree. And I’m always on the lookout for things that make my arthritic hands function better. Hate that people on here are telling other people what they need or don’t need.
Maybe I do need them.
Trying to get rid of several things I have, and then I see this video 😂😂 no wayyyy
I can just imagine the first one making my drinks fizz up and then I only get to drink half- 😂

I think this the first Amazon finds video where I actually want all the products!
Omg I have those ice trays. I did not know that how you use it. 🤦🏾♀️
Lol I've been there! We learn something new every single day 😊
Love all these things ~ ordering 3 of them~~ LOVE your adorable pok-a-dot nails in the one shot!!!❤
1. keep the drinks in the cardboard box it comes in or stack them as needed
2. metal strainer that every kitchen should have
3. keep liquids in og packaging, hidden in cabinet if wanted
4. spoon and reusable travel mug
5. knife
6. i can actually see the use in this but im sure there is a hack i don’t know about that does this already
7. i like these but you can also use tin foil
8. ice maker in freezer
consumerism is too much these days
Stuff no one needs
overconsumption, so aesthetic!! 🩷🎀✨
How fun & some great finds!
The only useful thing here is the small box that can cut in one press. Rest of them are gadgets
The air frier things are useful. My airfrier is kind of old and the basket starts to be sticky... Those things really solve that problem and increase the years of utility of the product
You are definitely entitled to your opinion. And, so is everyone else. Not an issue if someone wants to buy every item.
I use those syrup bottles for coffee syrups. 💯
Great description of the products.
The strainer is neat but I'd be nervous about the hot water near my food on plastic....maybe there's a stainless steel one or something.

New subscriber! I like your video. I need to look into buying some of these things for my house, especially the drink caddy!
I have the air fryer liners and bought them about a year ago . They still look like new even though we use them a lot . Highly recommend! Just make sure you order the correct size for the air fryer you have ❤
Item:
1. unnecessary
2. Just a weird, also you already have strainer, if you don’t-use a lid.
3. Your olive oil comes in a bottle(usually they are also pretty aesthetic)
4. you have a cup, you have a spoon, you have a hand- It is unnecessary dishes and honestly somewhat stupid.
5. Harder to clean than a knife, if you have so dirty hands you cant chop a banana(which you can do only touching the peel) you should just go and wash them. NEXT!
6.Ice cube
7. Parchment paper
8. takes up to much space, there are silicone ones that are easy too which you (or somebody you know) probably already have.
number 7 is actually better because it is reusable instead of parchment paper but thats kinda it
Your number one goes for you Karen 😂
Good for you. Nice of you to educate all of us on what we should and shouldn’t purchase. Like we can’t figure that out for ourselves!
There are several things in this video that I would love to have
