I’ve seen quite a few different techniques for this. Yours definitely wins!! Can literally just toss them around into the tool box and never have them come undone. 🏆

Seen someone had their ratchet straps stored this way on a job site and I'm so glad I found a video showing how it's done! Absolutely perfect way to store your straps!

Excellent! May i politely suggest, fold the long lead in half or thirds, leaving a pigtail for the ratchet. Especially, on long straps, it will roll much quicker and straighter.
    Great great technique 👍

Amazing - Clean and tight - I have to admit I tweaked the technique on the final part. Instead of going through the ratchet bar on the final loop I went back under the tie bar like the first loop and then came out the tie bar. Looks like I have a tail on my ratchet. After a couple of trials, doing so helped me untangle when I tightened it too tight. Mine doesn't look as clean but it helped me release the ratchet easier - Again Amazing - Thank you for posting!

thanks for showing a very clean emthod for really seldom use and for people with lots of time and patience. sorry, my day has only 24 h and i need my ratchets nearly daily! so i ut them, wen not wet, into a 6l frozen back . needs a bit more space but saves me tons of time in a month and the straps are protected from dirt, dust and humidity.

If you can loop your tail end quickly, you can fold it to a size you like and fold the ratchet and one of those Nite-ize twist wraps in the proper size they work for quick secure wraps. Get enough length to make a tail to hang it wherever you store your straps.
