Let's be honest, bl2 wasn't "difficult", there's nothing hard about playing Salvador, there's nothing hard about Bore cheese, there's nothing hard about beehawking. Bl2 wasn't better balanced at all, it just had a very small selection of cheese builds that you had to use for any real endgame content. It's easier to achieve those results in BL3 and there's a larger selection of guns and builds that can pull it off. That doesn't make it easier that just means there are more than 3 viable builds for endgame, I consider that a positive. Maybe a uvhm mode with a bit more difficulty than true mayhem 11 would have been cool, but I really don't think difficulty was a problem in BL3 at all.
I actually liked the increased world drops. Yeah it's a farming game and we all love farming for our god rolls and all that, but for a casual player it was really just annoying to have to grind out a boss for 12 hours to maybe finally get one of the guns that are required for one of the three viable endgame cheese builds. There was more of problem when bl3 launched with hardly any dedicated sources for gear, but that's largely been addressed.
Story is really the only point where I can say BL3 underperformed, and it's not even so much because the story and villains were bad, but because they had to follow Handsome Jack who is undoubtedly one of the best video game villains of all time. It is not easy to hit that sweet spot where you can both love and hate a character the way you do Jack, and I do not envy any writer that has to try to live up to that standard now. The only part where I'd say they actually did BAD with the story was Ava, the rest just wasn't as good as 2.
I completely agree with you man
people actually thinking borderlands 3 is bad is wild to me. Borderlands 3 has such an amazing amount of buidl variety and as a console player it felt less annoying to play and farm than in bl2. I guess people just hate on the game because it isnt borderlands 2
The write, jokes, old character redising, new characters and sound desing is pretty bad, gameplaywise is better but the story of this game sound better in mute and for me that is unnacepptable.😊
Bl3 is great as long as you turn your brain off and ignore half of what any character says. The gameplay part of the game is damn near flawless to me.
Most actuate comment so far honestly 😂
I think the “legendary’s are too common” is outdated, a majority of the legendaries are only good in normal mode
i just leveled a new character and the legendaries definitely ruined the experience for normal mode. idk if its been changed since release, but my drops were so insane i only need 2 weapons for my entire playthrough
“Legendaries are too common”.. that’s a pro not a con
A lot of people didn’t think so, but as I said I can go both ways
Man are most of the legendaries useless still though like I didn’t even make it to the final dlc I gave up shortly after the cartel event dropped cause they just kept nerfing and nerfing and nerfing every viable thing and I LOVE borderlands but they just kept ruining anything fun also they killed the reversion and I will NEVER forgive them
Honestly there’s so many guns that are viable in the game now and it does have a good amount of playability. If you haven’t played it in a long time honestly try it again now maybe you’ll enjoy it
