Great lesson Brian.. A WWBD moment for sure. More practice on that one for me, if it ever stops raining, blowing and in some cases snowing. It's lockdown without the lock Fitting a new loo seat tomorrow, what a life I lead. Still the Christmas trees up. Stay safe and well. Thanks
Ah David what a sh$t of a job........... Sorry to hear the weather is poor. You could always be here. 17 degrees c today and then 4 days in a row around 30 degrees c later in the week. You could do this one in the back yard with your foam balls perhaps! Stay dry and well. Brian
Nice shot Brian! You didn’t mention whether you play these type of shots with a square club face or open. What is your preference? Does it depend on the lie: whether your deep in the rough or a tighter lie? Thanks, Cam
I'm glad you enjoyed it Cameron. It is a good question and I didn't cover it specifically here but I did leave a clue. When you ope the face you add loft. You also as a consequence add bounce. In a shot where you need to prevent the club from digging the open face and increased bounce helps prevent this. In the situation I was in during this video my ball was sitting down quite a bit so I needed the club to dig slightly so I left it square. I hope that makes sense. I have added your question to my list of future videos to make. Brian
On this shot, can i use your excellent tip on opening the grip and start the backswing with the toe only touching the ground??? To my mind, that would open the clubface and reduce the bounce and reduce the risk of the club digging in??
Unfortunately no that won’t work on this one Garry. That works great for a chip where you want the ball to go low. This one is the opposite. By all means give your suggestion a go though. Thanks for watching.
I made a shot like this today. But the tree was a little wider. I couldn't see the green. But I landed it about 12 foot from the hole. I was really shocked.
Well done off giving it a go William. Doesn’t it feel good when you pull off a shot like that. The more you practice the shot the more consistent you will be at pulling ig off and the less shocked you will be.
@@williammills8953 I carry a 45, 50, 55 and 60 degree wedges. It all comes to the distance required as to which one I use. I really don’t have a favourite.
More useful tips from the good doctor 😀
Thanks Peter.
I always try to make them simple, useful and applicable.
I appreciate you watching.

Great video once again Brian!!
I'm glad you enjoyed it Scott. Just like the old days at Riverside eh....
Thanks for watching.

Great lesson. Thank you. Dom
Glad you enjoyed it Dom.
Thanks for watching.

Very good I just hv to remember to follow through. Thanks 😃🏌🏾♂️
It's just one thing.......I forget too sometimes.
Us males can only do one thing at a time so it's hard.....
Thanks for watching.

@@fitzygolfpro I did note that comment about “just a little bit of dig”. Look forward to that video Brian. Cheers
Great to as usual Brian
Thanks Anne.
The scenery is not quite as good as yours in your latest PGG video.
That was fantastic.

What if 56 deg wedge is all you have, can the same procedure work
Absolutely Ray. It is just slightly harder due to the lack of loft. But the same procedure will work.
Good question.
Brian
@@fitzygolfpro what degree wedge do you prefer?
