    Hi Andrew, thanks for the helpful video. I'm about to get a TDR on my 12 ft Browning Silverlight. It's a 12 ft rod but really soft (only 60g). Is it wise to go with 4000 or should I stick to 3000? Thank you

    dze reels dze rekvarements :D Reiktu patobulinti tu dvieju anglisku garsu tarima jei jau taip noras yra targetinti EN auditorija :) bet pats tas tikslumas video bei konkretumas kartais uzburia, ir sukuria kanalui unikaluma ir mazina bla bla kieki. Yra ko is taves pasimokyt :)

    I won 17 matches last summer feeder fishing i have 2 DAIWA WHISKER REELS there absolutely awesome in every way i strip all my reels down every 12 months give them a total service 100% i replace any worn-out parts immediately i love stripping down reels It's kind of a hobby i do all my neighbors reels plus my local tackle shop give me lots to repair and service i must agree andrew the line clip must be good quality they are excellent quality on DAIWA and shimano reels to be honest a 4000 size is suitable my DAIWA WHISKERS have the folding handle top feature i bought a broken DAIWA TDR off ebay took it to pieces cost me £6.80p to repair £25 i paid for the broken TDR that's what i call a bargain Alien

  • @RunninWithScissors
    @RunninWithScissors 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    You only need 2 reels for feeder fishing, TDR 4012 for small commercials and rivers, and a Cast'izm 25 QDA for big reservoirs.

      Btw, i was wondering what is the difference between TD4012QD and tdr4012. Is the td 4012 qd be good reel for barbel fishing 12ft rod?

      @@robsmith8589 n'zone will last longer...daiwa is made to sustain constant retreaving heavy feeder and recasting all the time,ass feeder fishing is... for Shimano to doo that ,u must step up and dig in to the wallet much more...

    is gear ratio : 5.3:1 too high for river feeder fishing?should i stick with them or get other reels? thanks

    • @AndrewsKnots
      @AndrewsKnots  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The term "river" can have many meanings. For example in the UK very odd river has any flow.. So, often you don't need heavy feeder.
      Anyway, I personally I would choose "slower" reels for feeder fishing than you have.

    Is there any problem if i use a Daiwa spinning reel like the Exceller or the Fuego for feeder fishing ?

    • @AndrewsKnots
      @AndrewsKnots  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No problem. Just ones you mentioned does not have a good line clip and are have to fast gear ratio.

    • @AndrewsKnots

      Go with 3012. It's light rod and you don't need anything to overload it with a massive reel ✌

    Hi Andrew, lovely video as always. What would you recommend for an 11,6 feeder (Casting weight up to ±60g)?Based on your video it's in between 3000 and 4000 - should I go for 3000 and less weight or 4000 and more power+retrieval?
