I like watching you spread gravel. Also that you tell us the type of gravel and why you are using it. Great job on spreading the gravel, as always, you make it look easy/
Hi from Pa Jerry. Always interesting to watch you dig and grade. I see where that 6 way is very handy spreading / grading driveways, shoulders and intersections. My mini has a up/ down only. Takes a little tweaking etc to get things blended /smooth. But it beats a shovel/rake. Jim (spent 3yrs at Kingsley Field in the 60’s). PS Hoping you and yours had /have Happy holidays. We spoke with old friends from the area again Christmas Day. In fact one is living in Medford in an assisted living facility. Have a good day and New Year.
@JamesBrown-c5x Thank you. I graded for years with an up down only blade. It is still very possible to do nice grading with one. The 6 way is a nice treat. The area has changed a lot since the 60s, but it is home. Thank you very much for watching, and happy new year to you and your family ❤️
I Enjoy all the videos. I try to watch your every movement. Ive already learned a lot from your videos. Thanks for making them. By the way, the job looks great.
@fredrikg120 Thank you. Nope, I don't have any video of installing the culvert. I did that before I was doing youtube. It would have been a good video. Thank you, and have a wonderful day 😀
@@jeramyreberpuredirt7873 well that's unfortunate. I'm afraid you have to dig it all up and redo it then. Not ideal but some sacrifices have to be made for good content.. ;)
Thanks to you I now am the proud owner of a KX040! Sure do appreciate all your videos and showing what it’s capable of. I am curious where you found a 4’ bucket? I can’t find any online.
@justincase7808 Congratulations on the new machine. I very much appreciate you watching my videos. I bought my 48" from my dealer. It's made by Werk Brau. Have a wonderful evening 😊
I enjoy watching your gravel spreading video as you are a master with that front blade. I am curious as to why you went with steel tracks on the KX040? My guess is that they are more durable and you get longer life out of them vs rubber tracks. I have rubber on my 3.5 ton mini and with 150 hours there is some wear and torn and cut cleats on them. Doing demolition sure didn't help with that any. In either case, I envy your skill with that blade.
@rtundlt1 Thank you very much ❤️ I run steel because they last much longer, give better stability because of the added weight and width, and get better traction. I hope you have had a wonderful day, and thanks for watching 👀
@BradNavratil with all the weird angles, I don't think so, and working along the drop-off, the poor visibility of a skidsteer, no thanks. Thank you very much for watching, and I hope you have had a wonderful day 😀
Great video. Always enjoy your channel. Question for you. I’m up in Canada and am looking at a kx040 or the 057. I’m not a commercial operator but do have some land which is full of big rocks and brush. Any opinions or suggestions about the two machines. Why the 040 instead of 057 for your kind of work etc.. I will be using the machine primarily for landscaping work on my property and possibly starting an owner operator small business in the future.
@todd4654 I really like the 6 way blade on the 40. To me, the 40 is a faster machine. I ran a 57-5 last year, and I just felt like it was slow. And the 40 is easier to transport. The 57 does have more reach and power. The cab has more room than the 40-4 I don't know about the new 40-5. I personally like the 40 better but they are both very capable and good machines. Thank you very much for watching, and have a wonderful day 😀
@@jeramyreberpuredirt7873 thank you Jeremy, I appreciate your thoughts and those are some good considerations. I am leaning towards the 040 and that’s partly due to the success I’ve seen you have with it. You do incredible work with your 040. Thanks for the great content. I’m a big fan of your site. Happy new year from canada!

Personally, I enjoy it all. That storm woke my wife and I right up plus had a scared pup, pretty good storm. Nice job as always. 👍🏻

After all the roads ive watched you build on hillsides. Dont see why the culverts would make you nervous. Good job on the gravel.
@BillTalkington-g5r I don't either, but it does for some reason. Have a wonderful day, and thanks for watching 🙂
