For a guy getting his foot in the door would you recommend the 40 or the 80 as a starter excavator. I’ve been running them off and on at work and it’s always been a 35 series an older Kubota.
@Ericksonearthworks if I were starting out again. I would still go with the 40. I still work the 40 more than the 80. The 80 is very useful on the larger jobs. Thank you for watching, and have a wonderful evening 😊
I'm curious what he will say. I've seen him run both and the 80 moves dirt a LOT faster. But the 40 with the tilting blade is the champ at grading and getting into tight spaces, and lifts logs my tractor can't even budge. If it was me (not a pro, just a landowner) I'd get a 40 and call Jeramy if I needed some sketchy work done or something that would need the 80. Good luck.
Morning. I don't know why, but ditching is probably the most relaxing to me. Lol. I know you've probably said, but what size is your smooth edge bucket? Would you ever get a tilting bucket? I'm in the market but not sure which way to go. Have a good day
@camelsbuttefarm9965 I enjoy cleaning ditches. My bucket is a 4ft Werk Brau full profile. I have always gotten along without a tilt bucket, it's not really what I want to spend money on. Thank you for watching, and have a wonderful day 😀

@johnoswald6192 the end of the culvert was smashed, I was going to pull it open. But it was going to pull the culvert out of the ground.
