  • Another special NIB car comes to RCKicks.com. This is 1 of only 333 in the world made by Tamiya and Tamico. Watch this amazing car being built, painted and then run.
    Tamico´s 10th Anniversary. Let´s celebrate. With a very special model: Porsche 934 RSR Vaillant TA02SW This model, composed by us, is based on the Tamiya Black Porsche RSR Kit No. 47362, but has the green attachments and the Vaillant decal set of the equally limited 30 year Tamiya RC Porsche 934 TA05 Kit 49400.
    The kit is numbered and strictly limited to 333 pieces.
    The basis for this model is the TA02SW chassis (SW stands for short / short wheelbase and wide / wide rear track) and is equipped with a variety of tuning parts.
    Option Parts Included:
    53142 Aluminum Motor Mount
    53152 Hard Propeller Shaft
    53166 FRP Chassis Set
    53193 FRP Front Damper Stay
    53194 FRP Rear Damper Stay
    53806 Ball Diff Cup Joint for Universal Shaft
    This is a 1/10 scale R/C model assembly kit. Length: 435mm, width: 202mm, height: 130mm.
    The evergreen form of the 934 is recreated stunningly in durable polycarbonate, with separate side mirror and wing parts. Separate light cases are also included.
    Comes with an LED light unit to light up headlights and taillights for the ultimate realistic appearance.
    The TA02SW chassis was previously used on the 911 GT2 Racing (Items 58172, 84399 and 47321). It offers a short (236mm) wheelbase and wide tread setup; similar to that so often employed by Porsche.
    This kit uses the FRP chassis set, which transforms the chassis into a double-deck unit using rigid and lightweight FRP material parts.
    FRP front and rear damper stay ensure optimum performance from the CVA oil damper-fitted 4-wheel double wishbone suspension.
    The stainless steel propeller shaft is highly durable and offers efficient transmission of power, particularly in combination with the front and rear assembly universal shafts, which come with ball diff cup joints.
    Enclosed front and rear gear cases have built-in diff gears. The rear is fitted with a ball differential.
    Comes with 2-piece wheels, tires and inner sponges. The rear of the model uses wide wheels.

    I have the Tamiya Jagermeister Porsche 934. Mine was supposed to be a limited edition too. My kit number is #84399 but than Tamiya released the kit again under a different kit number. Maybe what I have is no longer a limited edition? The kit was not numbered like yours is. My kit did include the basic LED light kit but did not include an electronic speed control. I did add the Tamiya blinker LED set and of course got an electronic speed control too.

      Bearded RC Hi, I got them off eBay. Just search magnet stealth invisible body posts 1/10th and you should find loads of different versions. I went with the ones that sit over the OEM posts.

    • @BeardedRC

      How would you go about installing them? I have thought of glue but I think that would pull the paint off.

    • @RCKickschannel
      @RCKickschannel  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@BeardedRC I always key the body before painting so it can grip the polycarbonate better. That said its still a risk for sure. You can attach an offcut of polycarbonate to the underside to spread the load of the magnet over just attaching the magnet directly to the body. That was my plan anyway. I see this more for static display over full beans driving, so I don't see it as an issue really for this kit.
      Thanks for the kind comments Bearded RC :)! Gavin

    • @BeardedRC
      @BeardedRC 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      RCKicks Niceone buddy. You should defo do a how to video. Am thinking of doing it for a project of mine. I have a Land Rover D90 here I don’t want to be drilling holes into it looks too good for that so this is definitely the way to go for me the benefit is this has been painted on the outside so I can get a good key on it for glueing.

    Why do you scuff up the inside of the body? Doesn't that show up on the outside? What sponge are you using? Great job btw

    • @RCKickschannel
      @RCKickschannel  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ZERO'S HOBBIES Hi, no it doesn’t show up as long as you are gentle. You want lots of micro scratches, this is so it gives the paint a way to grab the body and it stops the paint from peeling off when flexed. You have to go easy as pushing too hard will damage the body and then it will show up in the paint finish. I use a green dishwashing green sponge.

    • @Jo90Lives
      @Jo90Lives 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RCKickschannel You actually want to wash the bodyshell first before masking. This removes the release agent on the shell from molding. Along with the slight scuffing that helps paint adhere fully to the lexan. I wasj mine in warm water with a dose of Fairy Liquid in the water, and use the sponge side of a wash sponge first, getting into all the detail areas, then use the green scour side (or white depending on your sponge) to then key the large areas, steering well clear of any areas that will be clear, such as windows or lights.

    Good to see you're not going to drill holes for the body posts, ruins the look IMO. Just painted the 1/12 version and can't see why Tamiya never mounted all bodies similar to the GT01 cars
