The shuffling mechanic interests me the most, but probably calls for way more draw power than usual still like Hypermagic - which makes me believe people may keep the amount of draw to make stuff like Treasure Hunt to work but not sure
Yeah the fact that Atlantic Top 32 are building decks with week 1 info is going to be really crazy for variety I think! Things will probably settle by the time the Prince Cup Top 8 comes around, but until then gonna be heaps of fun
The Jeht/Hypermagic meta now feels more like a limited time event. It's interesting how through constantly evolving balance changes they can create a feeling of FOMO and broken decks that abuse a mechanic/card/combo become limited time decks you can have your fun with during the patch they are discovered, because you can expect them to be gone next patch.
Holly guacamole, what did they do to jeth. Yeah I was getting tired to see everyone playing jeth but now I have no idea what will the new meta look like. And the new cards I hope they don't become hard to understand how to play around with. Thanks for the video!!
The new cards are really simple in concept - you play them and they put cards into your deck and you'll draw them. They're only hard to understand if you want to play them optimally. I think if you just try it out it'll become clear
Possibly, but you'll need more than just Wagner discounted to make Seed worth running. Remember before it had about 6+ things in each deck it worked with. It will depend if there are other 2 costs now worth playing alongside Wagner, but definitely possible!
So glad the devs seem to have finally realized that the unlimited dice works monstrosity needs to go. It will sure feel nice to duel people playing CARDS instead of DICE GENERATION SIMULATOR again. Also, hyped to dust off the Enjou card, and (though not covered in this video) finally buff up Alhaitham with faster off-field electro in Kuki instead of relying on slow ass end-of-phase summons. Overall definitely one of my fav TCG updates so far.
Haha unlimited dice may not be over, I've been playing with some Treasure Hunt and it could be dangerous. It is harder to use than Jeht though so it shouldn't completely dominate. Really hyped for Enjou as well! I think he's going to be quite strong
@blepthecat yep, I already came across some opponents who made good use of the Treasure Hubt, somehow I completely overlooked that it can be used multiple times hahah. I guess it's gonna get nerfed to "once per round" soon. Honestly glad for Enjou enjoyers' W this time :D
@@blepthecat small update: dice printing is still very much alive with Boar Princess into [equipping Veteran's Visage + using an Underwater Treasure 0-cost healing card]. If this combo is played twice when the opponent has already ran out of dice, it's a nasty unexpected finisher.
I think this is a patch revolving three S: Stall, Shield, Summon. Rainbow Macarons, Taroumarou (seed dispensary now discounts taroumarou and tenacity), jeht changes to no cost elemental skill (which encourages skills with "prepare skill". Imagine this, you did not spend any dice for two turns and your enemy spent at least 2 dice when they switch for both turns, 4 dice when they attack and switch, or even 6 dice when they attack twice in a row). Summons mitigate the loss of damage from the stall nature of shielding. Edit: added the word "least"
@@blepthecat wait it was changed? I thought it still functions the same before. Gamblers was an equipment card and was still eligible to get discounted, so I though tenacity counts as well when the dice cost requirement was changed. Dang...
Watch me forget about these changes and still play later the usual and then make a surprised Pikachu face lol. Jokes aside, finally the Jeht and magic nerf. Feels like new cards this patch focuses on adding cards in deck which might make draw cards engine good.
Yeah the new cards play in an interesting space where they can definitely be as powerful as Jeht used to be, but do ask even more draw to balance it out, so might hit the right balance. Haha and for sure there'll be plenty of people in the first week queueing up their Jeht decks and then pausing and top right-ing when their Jeht doesn't work like they thought
I think sumeru resonance can sometimes off set the card cost of the cards added to your deck by giving you the option of putting them back and drawing them later granted you have one in hand, definitely gonna be messing with this idea as my focus this patch
Hehe yes a few people are cooking with Sumeru Resonance and if the shuffle cards end up being good, it could be like when Mondstadt resonance was good and people tried to build for it. Honestly I think that'd be really cool, I liked that can force you to swap out some stronger chars for Sumeru
i'm predicting the next meta will be freeze with taroumaru + lumenstone. mona summon + taroumaru against cryo application is 6 dmg end of turn so that'll probably be goated
This is the calm before the storm. I fear this is a hogaak situation where they went after cards that were ancillary to the engine at best, and the "draw your deck, then play a hand of wovens/double wovens" strategy will still be the best thing
Hello! So I don't really play tcg since the release and just got back to it. But I realized I'm rlly bad and constantly loose against npc's and dunno really about the meta and how to play the best teams. Can u do a video for ppl getting back in tcg?
Hm that's tough, people struggle for different reasons. I think if you are getting back, I would look for a tournament deck you like the look of and try to get good at that deck and learn fundamentals. Learning one deck is usually easier and you can build skills slowly while playing it. I don't have a specific video, but the TCG-101 series is exactly for around that skill level if you haven't watched those yet. They're all under 10 mins and teach you fundamentals which should help you beat NPCs pretty easily.
Yup there's always a full set one we'll have to see. It'll probably generate dice as well though I imagine, but since it's locked to Dendro much safer than something like Gilded
I am so happy that building decks got a buff, because I'm just.... bored whenever I use a popular deck... but companions were just better than buildings in every way Also is rightful reward a cyno buff..? I know he doesn't want to burst a lot but I mean... if he's in stall and face a swirl deck then he can become early aggro.
Hm I think Cyno would probably prefer a weapon that buffs all damage, but it could work! Definitely something to try. But yes I'm really hyped for this version
Okay finally finished watching the whole thing, so Jeht is permanently gone, her discount conflicts with other discounts which is really disappointing Not happy about the Yayoi nerf, now we need to being Timeaus for Millelith too. They could have literally nerfed Gilded by making it so you get one omni the first two times you react with it equipped on your active character instead of straight up giving dice, that would let your opponent have a chance of avoiding reactions to avoid the gilded combo while also letting it stay as flexible as it was with the original omni+elemental dice. Yayoi was balanced already except for Gilded, and now she's worse than Timaeus :( Seed Dispensary is uh.... A buff? Nerf? I can't tell at all lol. Since you usually run 1-2 2 cost supports in a deck normally (Timaeus/Stormterror), you can use the box as a sacrifice for Sunyata after using it once now without worrying if you need it later, but at the same time, I can no longer generate magic dice from Opera Epiclese, which makes me kinda sad lmao. I think they reworked the box to stop free Gilded > Gilded > Gambler combos with two Yayoi but they could literally just nerf the artifacts instead?? Abyss Lector's talent is better than what you said I think. It's also piercing damage, which means it goes through shields, so if your opponent has a 2 HP character with 30 shields like the crab (which will be nerfed badly, calling it now, I got a 20 damage ult out of that thing on against a Barbara and it's unkillable with Tenacity on all your team), you just use the pyro lector's shield twice and let your opponent kill themselves Rightful Reward + Emblem will be a deadly combo on burst spam characters, and I'm particularly worried about Raiden Quicken with Yaoyao, since both Yaoyao and Raiden can use that thing, and it'll actually give everyone a reason to use Raiden's talent Yup, Amethyst Crown is Hoyo playing favorite with Alhaitham lmao Seirai Island, I feel like it's situational because it only lasts 2 rounds. I feel like combo decks actually want it more than aggro decks. Now if it sat around indefinitely and triggered when either side healed, that would be a different story, but I can just avoid healing for two turns when it's up, and you need to draw it in your opening hand to prevent enemies from healing if you're playing an aggro deck, and aggro decks also want talents in their opening hand so that makes it even harder to justify putting it in your deck since it's harder to pull in your opening hand. Combo decks can set it up right when they sweep which is way more useful, but again, there are a lot of good cards for combo decks, including the new Taroumarou/Treasure Hunt, and 3 dice = 5+ damage > 6 total damage in end phase for all three characters, so Taroumarou is actually better than un-unerfed Jeht imo, it doesn't have any trigger conditions, and also gives 4 free damage in end phase. And you can also delete the dog from your support zone with Sunyata after using it, without losing the dice. Plus you can stock up and use exactly how much you need, so you won't lose your dice if you get frozen or have 1-2 dice left over. And tuning cards are always welcome even if the opponent decides to use Passing of Judgement It's worse than Jeht only for aggro decks that need all their dice before round 4. Stall and combo decks will love Taroumarou imo Same with treasure hunt, especially since Gilded gives so much card draw already, you can still draw all your cards by round 4 even with 16 extra cards in your deck And treasure hunt is upto 12 healing in one round, which is insane because you can completely stop bringing food because just 2 cards gives you more healing than all your food combined. Sweet Madame was memed for healing 1 HP, but 1 HP healing is meta now lmao Even if you don't bring Taroumarou, you can get it from Sunyata or Mamere so that's 4 free dice
I personally like the direction to nerf the discount cards and keep Gilded in the game, I think it's an interesting card if you pay 3 or 2 for it most of the time, and only sometimes 1, but never 0 easily. But yes we are getting to an interesting meta with lots of things to try!
Jeht was nerfed really badly, even if your skills cost 0 dice (like Noelle+geo artifact+food NA) you use up the 3 dice reduction at once. Yes I tried that lmao, and was so disappointed

@@blepthecat Now that you mention it, I think I used food late, I used my ult then used the food, so Noelle already had the dice reduction status from Jeht first
