The reviews continue for Version 4.7, this time covering half the new character cards - Xinyan, Yunjin, Furina, Wriothesley and Kaveh! These characters have some pretty interesting (and complex) mechanics, some of them interacting with the new Discard!

im surprised you didnt mention sumeru resonance for kaveh! but its understandable, since theres not many good hydro/anemo cards that synergize with him that count as sumeru,
sumeru resonance allows kaveh to run lower dice cards, because its the only way you can filter out 3 costs from your hand, back into your deck!
I also dont think kaveh needs to have 2 hydro, from what ive discovered he also synergizes with anemo characters too, though maybe not the best. ive told you about wanderer already, so ill also tell you about candace + sayu!
for kaveh - candace/hydro lector - sayu, you try to take to advantage of candace/lector + sayu's prepare skills, giving sayu a more likely chance to apply hydro to all the enemies, but this guarantees youll start second. you then try to sweep from there, its pretty fun. I especially like hydro lector since he can trigger bloom twice, preparing a bloom for kaveh. who knows, maybe this could become a better kaveh deck once a hydro claymore gets released in tcg.
ALSO!!!! id like to add that for yunjin, for decks that try to run a lot of card draws, getting full omni, or perfect dice is the WORST thing that can happen to you, because you cant tune your cards and can sometimes lose your buff, or have to play cards you dont want to. this is why i've begun running legend of vannessa to negate such bad situations. you can also use library/toss-up which is funny, i never thought id be able to use those cards to MESS UP my dice lol
Haha yes not being able to tune is something I'm too familiar with as a Setaria player.
Candace Sayu definitely sounds interesting! I like that people are experimenting with other Kaveh builds
The problem with sumeru resonance is that you can discard it with your kaveh as well, so propably it is not that good that you want to be.
Kaveh furina is pretty much braindead and boring, even more braindead than mew, but it seems not really weaker. But... I'd say out playable
@@user-um1gn8hs5f you can draw enough cards to get at least 1 sumeru resonance card very easily
@@blepthecathaha you might love to hear this, people are using ganyu with kaveh because of her 5 cost talent card, to make his blooms do a crazy 6-7 damage, or 8 with furina buffs

Each one dice for 6 dam is insane 😮
I feel like they shouldn’t nerf her normal attack damage but reduce her ultimate damage and her skill damage. That would mean that she would only be able to deal okay damage with her normal attacks
@@jordyn-vb3cf there are 5 option to nerf her.
1. nerf the stacks she gets from burst to 2 stacks.
2. nerf her energy to 3 energy burst.
3. nerf her talent to only trigger once per round.
4. nerf her discount to unaligned dice
5. nerf her talent buff to only +1 additional dmg.
Yunjin doesn't need a nerf, Primordial Jade Spear does lol
The reason Yunjin does so much is that she can abuse her dice reduction to get max stacks and keep attacking a million times with permanent +3 damage
Combine that with her talent, and she gets +6 damage to every attack, which is the major problem
I feel like if they nerf her, it should be only her talent (like +2 damage with 1 or fewer cards once per round)
These characters are unique and all seem quite fun! Can’t wait to try them out!

Could you maybe make a video for absolute (!!!) TCG beginners? I only played the game when it came out, loved it, but then other stuff came up and I wasn't able to keep up with it. Now all of those cards and mechanics feel so threatening to me, because I don't know where to even start. 😂
I'd honestly start by watching the tcg national battles, the nerration from the spectators and watching it all play out is how I learn every turn based game I play
Blep has a tcg-101 series. Its pretty easy to find because he keeps it in a playlist, definitely recommend it
I've defiitely though about making one where it literally starts with how to play the base game kinda like a tutorial, if that's what you mean by absolute.
Otherwise unfortunately they do come out with cards super fast so it's really easy to fall behind. I would say watch tcg101 stuff for basics, and then just slowly learn by picking a deck and then playing it until you learn the cards in your deck and not to worry too much about the opponents cards

Yeah I think she is quite strong with Apep!
Xinyan is kinda hard to use (she deletes all tuning cards with her burst, rip your dice next turn), but she's super strong especially with being able to apply pyro at the end of the round on demand
Yunjin is broken period
Furina is the jack of all trades and master of none. Furina is super easy to use and has the easiest damage buff in the game (it's so easy to get 10+ stacks per burst, which is insane for stall decks, p much turns healers into damage dealers), but she suffers from identity crisis, she can be the one that kills your team if you don't watch your HP, and her summons can be completely erased with a send off, which means no double hydro for you
Wrio is my favorite this update ngl, he's so fun to play and he never runs out of dice. He uses less dice than Neuvillette actually, his burst cost reduction is permanent, so you can burst twice in a round for 1 cost each if you play him right. That's 8 damage for 2 dice lmao
Kaveh is annoying both to use and to face imo. It's terrifying worrying about which card shows up
Furina has enough raw Hydro application that she'll be strong in any deck. I'm not too worried. Wrio is definitely very interesting, hoping he sees play
Freezly is pretty OP for some hypermagic freeze. Deshret is the only chance to delay the combo, but still it doesn't cure problems against wrio at all... He is just OP.
They actually gave Furina her C6 as her talent, that's crazy
A lot of talents do end up being constellations which is cool. Then we have Kaveh who has an architect themed one lol

This is GITCG's Infernity phase like in Yugioh. And just like Infernity, the best cards got limited and these cards are gonna get the nerf hammer.
Haha we had the Jeht combo winter too. I think this is the struggle with a non rotating card game format where it's hard to create new exciting cards without powercreeping

@@AnnaS-jw5rj hehe thank you!! For Kaveh, the easiest is a character that can tank 10 dmg and live - Mona with skill, seahorse, herald, all will survive. This lets you stay on that char R1 then threaten Kaveh R2 better.
You will then want to try to play around the bloom as much as possible. Kaveh does only Dendro r2 so you can sit on one char and tank all those hits, and then if you dodge the hydro after he goes down then there are no blooms

Kaveh is basically just modern post 2016 Weiss Schwarz boss card, mill stuffs deal X damage equal to cost or if the mill have triggger icon. Except Kaveh do it for free and the damage is guaranteed, while in WS it requires u to have climax combo and the damage can still be cancelled
You at least do have to first set up a bloom so it's not totally free. If you can play around it, it really shuts down his damage hard

Having a lot of fun playing with yunjin's suggested deck. Wondering what would be the initial setup and how Zhongli should play in the deck.
Zhongli doesn't feature much in the deck. In a pinch he will be a spear user that can just normal attack, but for the most part he is just there for resonances (liyue, geo for woven). The initial setup is mostly to just start on Yunjin if you can and build to burst
@@blepthecat I've mostly been using Zhongli to stall and tank dmg until the other team runs out of dice so I can do a yunjin or hutao sweep XD.
I run a similar lineup with xinyan but with Dori instead of sea horse, sea horse talent card gives card draw right? If that’s the case then it probably is better than Dori here. Also my kaveh deck of choice has been with xingu/layla, the deck has rng damage for kaveh so the freezing can help slow opponents down when I low roll and sumeru resonance lets me shuffle good hits back into the deck
The talent card on seahorse isn't extra draw - it just reapplies the armor and tanks an extra summon. But the innate draw is nice for sure.
Kaveh Xingqiu is definitely a nice combo!

Yeah her talent is really weird I wish it used her skill and not normal. I do hope we get more phys support, but honestly Yunjin is basically our ohys dps right now lol
I’m at a point where I can’t beat anything in TCG! It’s insanely frustrating do you have any tips? Like team comps etc? I just want to get to lvl 10 and beat the player manual tbh
You mean the NPC fights? Honestly you could try the Kaveh deck - it tends to do well into most npc decks since they don't play around your combos, and it's not so reliant on cards.

@@marleecbI’ve found that the Kaveh deck usually wipes most npc’s out very quickly and easily, especially duels, though sometimes there can be a weird mechanic in adventure challenges that can interfere a bit.
(Lol, I actually had one of the characters I was dueling to win their card say “I don’t understand what is happening here.” When I took out two characters at full health in round two.)

How important is getting Kujou's summon out turn 1? I've been having hands with bow for example, and not enough dice to furina + Kings squire + kujou
Quite important. Furina skill, into swap and King's Squire Sara should be exactly 8 dice? If you have other cards to play you can also save the bow for Lyney, it's not essential to play on Sara

@@asukrwaifu6169 King's Squire discounts skills by 2 dice! So after equipping Sara's skill should cost 1 - So it's 3 + 1 + 3 + 1 = 8!

Noted! I'll try to be more mindful though I'm not sure the implications that the card represents the Guardian beast and not Apep herself.
The recording for the next review I'm still using 'it' to refer to the Guardian even though I shortened it to saying Apep - hopefully that's ok
@@blepthecat Yeah, I've always been unsure of how to refer to the boss too, since it's not Apep herself, but Guardian of Apep's Heart of Oasis is way too long lol
I don't know if it's because I'm dumb but my brain can't handle all the new cards and characters abilities description becoming longer and longer. I like playing my old simple decks 😔
It's not just you, many players I've seen complain about the same thing and I do too. I wish they could go for some simpler designs on new cards
People are really not getting the absurd wrio treasure deck, he can one shot all 10hp characthers, and the setup is not hard

It's definitely a bit different and takes some time to get used to! After you play it a while though it's not so bad
