    I have drooled over this 935 on 3 different occasions at the Petersen museum in L.A. The first time I came across it I spent for literal hours looking it over. Luckily the 3rd time I took 100s of photos of every detail. Your video and skill makes this kit look so good! This with the detail set will be my winter project.

    Your attention to details is unbelievable! I understand each builder has his/her own style, but can you explain the reason you apply the decals directly on the base coat? I'm using Zero Paints with TABU decals and some friends said I should put a gloss coat between those two. In your opinion, is it necessary?

    • @Scaleautoshop
      @Scaleautoshop  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      thanks for comment. my reason is time to build. i do not see neccesary to put a gloss coat before decal, especially if there are no transparent parts on the decals. Even if the decal is transparent, I try to weld it well to avoid silvering.

    This is amazing - I'm considering doing this kit but one element concerns me. Once you opened the vents up, then applied the one piece black/red/orange decal over them, how did you go about creating the openings in the decal for the vents? It seems like the decal would be so fragile once placed over the openings. Did you just place the decal, let it dry a bit, and then carefully cut it with a knife for each opening? I'm considering getting this kit and doing the Apple Computers livery, which also has a big graphic that crosses the vents.

    Great work - the car won Le Mans not just because Klaus Ludwig did most of the driving, also when the car pulled in trackside because it had mechanical issues, a mechanic threw over a pack of sandwich to Ludwig which hid some toolset (which was illegal under regulations)
    Name of the car should be ‘Kremer 935 K3’ - it was never officially a Porsche project, all they did was to sell the 930 bodies and engines to Kremer
