- What does the Bible say about Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles, and how should we observe this Feast today? Many Christians have been told that we no longer need to keep the Biblical Feasts, but is that really true? Did you know there is a prophecy in the Bible that tells us that during the Messianic kingdom all of the nations of the World will be required to go to Jerusalem to worship the King (Yeshua) during the Feast of Tabernacles? So, what is the Feast of Tabernacles and why should we be keeping it? In Hebrew it is called Sukkot, which is translated booths or tabernacles, and it's a memorial of the time when Israel wandered in the wilderness living in tents. We are commanded to celebrate Sukkot by dwelling in tents for seven days and rejoicing with fruit and by waving tree branches. Sukkot is a fall harvest celebration and is also referred to as the Feast of Ingathering because of its connection to the harvest. In fact, it could be thought of as the Biblical Thanksgiving because we are commanded to rejoice and be thankful for the produce and provisions the Lord has given us.

Good video, we got many unlearned christians saying that if we keep the feasts of the Lord we are cursed. But we are told that in the messianic Kingdom everyone on the earth will come to partake in it.
Yet they're not cursed for changing the Sabbath (Sabado/7th day/Saturday) to Sunday (sun worship) or observing pagan holidsys.. Right
I was thinking exactly the same about a yearly camping trip on the Feast of Sukkot. Yah bless you and this teaching.

Torah always says it applies to the native and alien AMONG you- in the land. It does not address the diaspora. The weather in fall in the land is suited to do this. Not northern nations. Certain laws apply in the land and some are generalized, some are for women, some are for men. Some are for priests.

There are a lot of comments on here about Christians not being required to observe biblical holy days (or the law), but as a disciple, I feel honored to take part in these days and led to avoid the pagan holidays most Christians feel very comfortable with. You said that we have to "wave tree branches". I can't help it but to say that it does not say so in scripture. And that is exactly what I find troubling. A house church in our neighborhood celebrated this and used the branches, waving them in 6 directions, which to me isn't something that God said we should do. Also the branches + the etrog they had were the typical Jewish goods they used in the traditional Jewish celebration. I personally have difficulty with all this tradition-based stuff like the branches HAVE to look like this, or the fruit HAS to be a (often very expensive) etrog fruit. I think all these practices, that sometimes also have much talmudic or even kabbalic reference, blur the true meaning and genuine way to celebrate this feast. What do you think about this?

Unfortunately the military reserves puts a damper on doing the feasts, as most of the time its during those festivities. But I get out in march/ April next year. Sadly I'd have one more reenlistment t oh go, however serving Abba Father will be difficult. Thanks for the video.
I suggest that putting up a sukah in your front yard is even better than camping. You can invite your curious neighbors to the feast and sing praises and teach them about the significance of Succot

I have always enjoyed sukkot the few times I was able to keep it. (I’m a nurse at a long term care/ skilled center) But everyone seems to skip over that he addresses it to the native born Israelis and those in their gates. The eat her is certainly more favorable to camp in the Middle East then! Only in the messianic kingdom does the command apply broadly. Scripture also seems to apply to the nations that will come against Israeli.
Not israelis.. Israelites... Israelis are from ishmael not isaac. Black people are the real jews. (Revelation 1:15/Daniel 7:9) (curses of Deuteronomy 28)

I would love to get your commentary on the WWCG/Armstrong version of the FoT: Staying in high-end hotels and resorts, luxury goods shopping, touring, helicopter rides, etc.
I am one of those former attendees and obviously left when Armstrong's successor declared the sabbath an 'option' to say the least. I can say that the methods and some of those errors and scriptural misunderstandings were a fact, but only if performed on the High Holy Day's or weekly sabbath. as far as hotel stays are concerned at least they/I was committed to keep it. And it did set a firm foundation in me/us that continues to this day. I will be observing my 51st sukkot this year, and most years I am in a tent or RV. Shalom
Should Gentiles grafted onto the tree of life keep Sukkot?

I’m not a native Israelite, nor Jewish, but I am Torah observant and saved by the blood of Yeshua messiah.
John Q Public, the answer is Yes! We should keep them and we get to! Now that we have been grafted in, we went from an uncultivated olive tree to a cultivated one. We are pruned and shaped by His Word, laws, commands, and instructions, aka His Torah. Now that we know our Messiah is the fulfillment of these things, my family keeps them with the Messiah as the centerpiece, looking forward to His fulfillment of the rest of them (fall feasts). The law is for the native born AND the foreigner among you (Israel) who joins himself to you. Read Isaiah 56 and Exodus 12. Any foreigner who is circumcised (we have had our hearts circumcised by believing in His Son) is to be treated as a citizen of Israel.

Shalom to you as well brother! We have been Torah observant for a few years now and I would recommend watching a couple things from MTOI. They have an awesome Covenant 101 series on TH-cam and live Shabbat services. Also, if you want to look in that Playlist and skip around to parts that talk about the feasts and what they are/how to keep them, they can be helpful to you. Parable of the Vineyard is also a good channel. I just do tons of research and much prayer and rely on His Ruach Ha'Kodesh to lead me into righteous living. I hope this helps!

I will definitely check out MTOI. 2 quick follow up questions, is Shabbat (sundown Friday to sundown Saturday) still a day of rest during Sukkot, or just the first and last days? And have you checked out 119 ministries, are they a good and reliable source of information? I have been looking to them for answers when I cannot find them in the Book, and they have been helpful at least for me. So, all Shabbats are still required to be kept, regardless of when Feasts are because they are an appointed time with YHWH. We celebrate from Friday evening at sundown to Saturday evening until Sundown. We used to do just the day Saturday as there are other arguments for why only Saturday itself is to be kept. However, Scripture does require some Holy Days to be kept from Sundown to Sundown. For the first day of Sukkot we kept the 21st as a Sabbath as required by Scripture from Sundown on the 20th to Sundown on 21st. We'll keep our regular Shabbat on Friday night to Saturday night and keep last day of Sukkot as a Sabbath as required by Scripture on the 28th, Sundown the 27th to Sundown on the 28th.

I believe you missed that part where it says, "...native born...". Honoring the Holy Day times is a good lesson to all. But to make it a Commandment on New Covenant People is an error. Going camping, as a replacement for the specific requirements for this Holy Day, is far from the requirement to do this at Jerusalem, even as mentioned in Zech 14, as you quote. This is all taking place around the Jerusalem location. Honor that period? Sure, but not as a religious requirement. The Command is to the Israeli, and Israeli who has yet to have accepted YHshua as Messiah and Savior. Very nice presentation.
If the celebration of Sukkot in the millenium proves that we must also celebrate it now, what about the sacrifices mentioned in Zechariah 14:21?
The sacrifises revere to Jesus Christ. The feast shoul be celibrated now with faith in Jesus Christ.

God have mercy on some of us that hate the grocery store system that man has made, factories and such..Jesus had a perfect way for us to live and humans chose to create their own way. Jesus will be here real soon to revert everything back to the way it should have always been in the first place. So Sukkot didn't real mean what it should have, not in 2020 anyway.....

Just wondering; this is my first year observing YHWHS appointed times and i already live in a rv full time. This already sets me apart from the majority of the world, would this count or should i still pay the camping fee to stay in a tent. Ive switched my way of living to get away from the chains of rent, utilities, mortgage etc?
I suggest you pray about how you can best honor and celebrate the Feast.
You would want to leave your primary place of residence to a temporary one, even a hotel room.

You do know the feast is fulfilled in Messiah right? Remember Messiah fulfilled Passover, unleavened bread and first of first fruits within the spring feasts. The outpouring of His Spirit fulfilled the feast of weeks. All these feasts are fulfilled in and by messiah(through baptism into Him). Equally the fall feast of tabernacles is fulfilled only in messiah. It is his glorious return and his glorification in the saints. Messiah is the tent (Rev 7:15). By being in Him when He returns, we keep the feast! Every tribe tongue and nation in messiah, the redeemed, are said to keep this feast with their palms branches as mentioned in this verse: Revelation 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
That's an excuse not to keep it. To be Christ like means to follow what He followed. That's like saying we can sin (transgression of the law(1John 3:4) just because He died for our past sins. Yet He said sin no more to the woman. And that the law is not done with (Matthew 5:17-20)

We know there were non native and native Israeites.
◾Were the native Irsraelite to dwell in tents at this time and all others that were not native didn't, but all to be there at the assembly as one at the feast?
◾When did this feast start, before they as a whole reached Canaan?
◾Did all Israel descendants dwell in tents after they reached Canaan or they built stone dwellings?
◾Did all Israel have these feast in the desert 🏜 for 40yrs, and all dwelled in tents?
◾How would I know or any other person, if we were a native descendant or one of the fornier desendants?
◾How do the native even know they are natives, since their identity would be lost?
◾How could the native descendants know they are a native, if God said they would lose their identityy?
◾Was it that the native and the forneriors identity would get lost as a whole to being known as Israel?
◾What other instructions were there that the non native was to follow? I remember a few but not all
◾Did God's instructions ever change for the feast instructions for non natives and natives?
◾When did he cause them dwell in tents again? After there city was destroyed?
◾Where is the choosen place for the feast celebration to assembe for all of Israel to enjoy at now?
My congregation did a major study on the Hanok/Enoch/Creator's Calendar bc of the detail factors and the accuracy of the information of the Hanok Calendar from the Book of Hanok, also the Hanok scrolls was found in the Ark of Noah.
Now based on the study on Book of Hanok. The question is, how good is the info on the Book of Hanok? Just look into the 10 individuals at hand, starting from Adam to Noah: Adam (930 yrs old), Sheth (912 yrs old), Enosh (905 yrs old), Qeynam (910 yrs old), Mahlalael (895 yrs old), Yered (965 yrs old), Hanok (365 yrs old), Methushelah (969 yrs old), Lemek (777 yrs old) and Noah (959 yrs old). What's the major difference on these individuals - Hanok is the youngest out of all of them at the age of 365 bc the Almighty Yahuah likes him a lot that He took Hanok at an early age. Now why would Yah like Hanok so much, if his info was wrong or could it be that Hanok is a good student of Yahuah and received the Hanok Calendar from Yahuah? Now at the same time Noah, Abraham, Jacob, Antediluvian Patriarchs, Mosheh and there's others, all using this calendar until the 2nd century through the 2nd Temple period and was taking down by King Antiochus IV to observe the Lunar Calendar.
Now we have to make a decision: Yahuah vs King Antiochus IV on which calendar to use.
Additional info on Hanok: They say that Methushelah is the oldest but Hanok is still living in the Garden of Eden.
Based on the Hanok Calendar we had our Sukkot on Sept 22 which is the high day rest of Shabbat to Sept 28 for 7 days and Sept 29 is the 2nd high day rest of Shabbat ending at sunset.
You cannot be a Bride to the Son's Wedding without these important key factors of Yahuah's Word:
- His Name is Yahuah and the Messiah's Name is Yahushua, meaning Salvation
- The Shabbat starts at sunrise on the 7th day, not sunset on the 6th day
- The Torah
- All the Feast Days
May Yahuah Berekyahu, Ahava and Shalom,
What I'm contemplating on is if the feast is for today OR after Yeshua returns. Zachariah says it WILL come to pass that people will celebrate Tabernacles with the Lord in JERUSALEM, and those that don't will be punished. So does that mean this is for today. Thanks in advance for any references.

Its allegorical. Its an image of the heavenly reality. That was for the Israelites in type and shadow (see the book of Hebrews). We worship in Spirit and in Truth (John 4). We are the true Israel and our Jerusalem is of above. (Galatians 4:25-26)
if people can still be saved while major days are forgotten then why keep them?
Wait what...? We must keep the feast of tabernacles... but we can just go camping instead of what they were instructed to do? A camping trip? Seriously? You either are required to do the feast and then you do what is actually instructed, or you realize that you aren't required to. You can't go on a camping trip and claim it's the same thing that's written in the book of the law. That's lawless. I'm sorry.

Thanks for the video. I know that the feast is filled with prophecy for example in the triumphal entry the people laid palms in front of Jesus to symbolise that He is the messiah. However the feast of tabernacles is 6 months removed from the feasts that the Jews were celebrating at the time. Do you have any more resources that explain in more detail the triumphal entry in relation to the feast of tabernacles?

@meli - If possible, as some folk can, you can setup a makeshift tent even inside the house. Have you ever watched movies where the children of the family are allowed to use a sheet to hang making it look like a tent?
Wish I had enough room to even do that much.
We are living in a man-made system in which we do not touch the soil and pull our own food out of the earth. Grocery store are our reality. So how do we bring in the Harvest?

SHALOM Brother, I have a question that is a great concern to me. Will YAHWE; be upset at me if I miss the Feast of Tabernacles due to perhaps starting a new job because of past employment furloughing me 2x in a matter of 7 months, and I decided to look for more promising position, and I am concerned about this. I have attended 3 feasts so far ( 2018, 19, and 20 )when learning how important it is to attend. Now I might be able to attend the 2021 feast. ALL of the Feasts center around Christ. The Lord's Feasts are not Jewish, but for everyone. The Feast of Tabernacles (September) was Christ's birthday, not Christmas on December 25. The Lord did not want us to celebrate the birthday, only the death and resurrection. That is why there is nothing specific written in the Bible about it. The truth be known, shepherds did not watch their flocks at night in the winter, because the sheep were not out in the winter.

Most people try to take off work the full time, but some go to work.
I try to have the first day and the last day off from work. Last year I was blessed to be able to spend Sukkot in Israel.
Also the feast requires offerings made to the Lord by fire for 7 days Leviticus 23: 36 Can you do that rightly.

i am new to learning about the feast days. what day does this yrs feast of tabernacle start? i am not jewish but want to keep Gods word. is there a book to help me understand all these feasts and what is expected of me?

Let’s be reasonable people. If this is to be literal to a future date, where all the nations will go up to Jerusalem for eight days to worship and pitch dwellings made of branches and leaves… That’s nearly 8,000,000,000 people. 8 billion people all be in Jerusalem at the same time for eight days? 8 billion people eating going to the bathroom walking around stripping trees of the branches? Of course not.

Dear brother, how do you exegit this from Paul in Romans 14 (NASB)? "Now accept the one who is weak in faith, [but] not for [the purpose of] passing judgment on his opinions.

The one who eats is not to regard with contempt the one who does not eat, and the one who does not eat is not to judge the one who eats, for God has accepted him. I see it this way. The appointed times are primarily directed to Israel and only secondarily to the ecclesia in the current dispensation. In the millennium, all nations will keep the appointed time of booths. In this I have no disagreement with you. BTW, the appointed time of booths is the only time in the millennium that the nations are to go up to Jerusalem. No other requirement is placed on the nations. What about the other 6 appointed times? I believe that the appointed times are a prophetic time clock (primarily for Israel). By the time the millenium arrives, coincident with Christ's return, all other appointed times have had their complete fulfillment. Only the appointed time of booths remains. The first 7 days represent the millennium and the 8th day (the last and great day, John 7:37) represents eternity in which God dwells with man: "Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them,
and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be [any] death; there will no longer be [any] mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.” And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” (Rev21:3-5). The 8th day, the great day, is a day of new beginnings and eternal rest.

I was just wondering I am physically disabled and use a wheelchair I can't go camping I'm by myself so what should I do?
Marie, first, SHALOM! Second, where are you located? Perhaps there is a Hebraic fellowship in your vicinity that you are unaware of; if there is you could contact them and see how they might help assist you in celebrating the Moedim. That said, can you make (have someone assist you in making/make for you) an indoor sukkah? Asking a family member, friend or neighbor to help can benefit you and can also bless them if you teach them what you are doing and why you are doing it, then invite them to participate with you; in this way you share YHWH’s Truth and then you would not be by yourself. If you can find assistance, build a big blanket fort in your living room; if you are truly on your own perhaps you have a porch or patio or deck that you could spend the day in/on, or simply relegate yourself to a portion of your home and make choices that mimic the efforts of camping as best you are able. Examples: avoid television, the use of other technological devices (cell phone, computer, radio, etc.); turn off any central heat and air and open the windows; don’t use electricity, at night use candles or even battery operated lanterns; use bottled water (even if you bottle your own) rather than running the tap; eat fresh fruit and veggies and/or keep other foods and snacks in a cooler wherever you plan to tabernacle so you aren’t in and out of the fridge; avoid cosmetic grooming and fashionable attire (don't do hair and make up or wear jewelry or fancy clothes), keep it simple (because you are “roughing it”); if at all possible, sleep on the couch instead of in your bed (you know, to “rough it”). The idea is to remember the Israelites as they lived in the wilderness, after the release from Egyptian bondage, were YHWH now dwelt in their midst. Further, Immanuel (Yeshua) being YHWH with us, came to earth and dwelt with us; Sukkot is practice for tabernacling/dwelling with him in eternity (and also for the Great Exodus). Also, wisdom, from a commentator named Teth, "I think what is especially important is we derive the meaning of these days, we are to understand the spiritual significance contained within these occasions, from what I understand tabernacles is about understanding the importance of living for the Messiah even when circumstances impede on your accustomed convenience (Zechariah 14:16 - 17 for some reference). So get away from the trappings of the world as best you can and focus on communing with him. I do understand that having to use a wheelchair would make things more difficult, especially without assistance, but do what you are able, were you are, within your limitations; we are to do our best to lovingly obey ABBA’s commands, accept Yeshua's grace for all else.
If the second death is complete utter destruction, not existing anymore more for the wicked how come revelations says the beast and the false prophet and the devil will be tormented night and day forever and ever. How could they be tormented forever but not wicked humans? Doesn’t really make sense
