Haha Taemin's clip was short 😞 In summary: Lee Taemin (💕) debuted in SHINee (May 25, 2008) with Replay, he has a successful solo career since 2014 with his debut album ACE. He is SHINee's maknae. He has won many times on the MAMA for solo performance, along with many other. The clip they showed from Hit the Stage was his performance where he won the first place (and with the highest score of the whole program). He was actually only SHINee's main dancer when he debuted, and people told him that he was "tone deaf" because he wasn't good at singing, because of that he worked really hard and became one of the main vocalists in SHINee and was the first SM artist going solo while being in his group. Also, he has successfully hold 60 solo concerts 💕💕

Okay, first things first, im appalled that they didnt include Move in Taemins segment!! It was his iconic song and the dance was viral,every idol was doing it, plus it really is an important choreography, taemin had started very young and was always seen as feminine and he fought that prejudice and tried to be always manly, the choreo was described as him accepting his (gorgeous imo) androgynous body and its is a stunning choreo. The women dancing it look more masculine while men dancing it look more feminine and even tho the moves look simple it actually requires an immense amount of muscle control. Taemin is considered bu many people inside the industry as well as kpop fans as the best dancer in the industry. So when he said a couple of years ago that he personally considers Ten to be an amazing dancer that keeps catching his attention, it really is a high praise. I legit only checked out ten because Taemin said he loved his dancing, since I wasn’t familiar with nct at all before that. And ten really is mesmerising. He’s very skilled and the aura around him just makes you want to watch him. I’ve only seen this kind of aura around taemin, jimin and ten so far (for me at least). And that video of Winwin(another nct member) and Ten contemporary dancing to Lovely by Billie Eilish and Khalid, its just so beautiful, i kept coming back to watch it over and over again.
And lucas is actually a chaotic mess, i think he’s quiet because he’s around major sunbaes and feels uncomfortable since he doesnt speak korean that well. You should see how hilarious he is😝
I just wish this introduction would’ve gotten into how their personalities were as well...

Even though fate didn't choose me I put it as one of my choices for one of the subscribers choice things.
I felt like taemin’s part was a little short.
Yeah, for example it shows like 5 different clips of Kai dancing and then with Taemin, only two :/ wtf...

Btw the positions being mentioned in the guide are their positions in SuperM, that's why Jongin didn't have center in his and Taeyong didn't have leader in his
Mark may not have a deep voice but that doesn’t change the fact that his role in NCT and even SM is very important. He was the idol that broke the stereotype of SM having idol rappers that couldn’t really rap when debuted and people heard his verse in The 7th Sense. He was also at one point and time before graduated from Dream the only NCT member to debut three times and he did all of this while he was a teenager.
Mark works really hard and hope that people won’t just look at him as a maknae and a baby of SuperM but also someone deserving of respect.
I’m rooting for everyone in this group because I know they’re supposed to debut in America in October and that’s not an easy thing at all. Especially with learning a new language, being in different country promoting, etc. but I know that they can do it.
Also fun fact about Taemin, and you might have already have known this, but besides Kai he’s also friends with Jimin (from BTS), Ha Sungwoon (a HOTSHOT member and a soloist) and Ravi from VIXX. They have a crew called the Padding Squad.
I'm not the type to gauge the worthiness of a member based on how deep their voice is lol... I just personally find it an attractive quality. Along with everything else he brings to the table, Mark is going to play a huge role in SuperM, along with Ten, being the only English speakers while debuting in America. I feel he will be speaking a lot in interviews and representing the group well. :)
Say What Reacts Well I wasn’t attacking you so I hope it didn’t come off like that. Mycomment was just a general thing. I’ve just seen so many people put his worth up to being adorable and being a maknae. I’ve been following NCT since their debut and a lot of the time it still feels like people don’t really respect them for their talent because of the company they come from.

@@saywhatreacts Mark has a really PLEASING voice and his rap flow is so smooth (Taeyong's staccato sneers are a highly stylized contrast and it's VERY fun to watch them go back & forth)
And yes Mark already IS an excellent spokes person for SuperM. Being Canadian he doesn't just speak english, he is conversant and he SOUNDS American. His is co-spokesman on the NCT 127 world tour this summer IS American. Johnny (from Chicago) is popular in the states and a poised expert at translating for his band. Mark learned a LOT about HOW to do this from Johnny.. Mark's so fresh & natural but he is also informed and well spoken.
So is Ten btw, his english is proper and his vocabulary is impressive. Taeyong's grasp of English is far better than he lets on for his CHOICE of words in lyrics & interviews is specific (and often lands him in trouble lol). Lucas knows a few phrases but they are the ALL THE RIGHT phrases to make fans swoon. he is SUCH a flirt!
Almost all the NCT kids on the US tour spoke at least enough English to understand question and reply to them.
Treat yourself to NCT 127' playing FLINCH with James Corden last spring (priceless!) then watch them follow THAT hysterical segment with their jaw dropping live performance of "SuperHuman" (Mark in his glittery checks & Taeyong in his braided red velvet jacket IS the US occasion that the members of SuperM must rise to)
And of course, they WILL Win hearts in America. The SuperM boys are learning fast. Baek is gamely striding into English, Kai falters (sexily) and he...purrs...in English (the fans go wild!) Most adorable of all is the Fabulous SuperStar Taemin whose childlike delight when he delivers an english line he has practiced...melts us.

In Taemin's video that was a dance practice to one of his solo songs. It's his most recent I believe Want.
loved the video but i wished they showed more about taemin so much was left out he started as a visual/dancer and now is such an amazing vocalist .he is know as one of the best dancers in kpop. he went on the show hit the stage as a contestant killed it and was the first person to win the show. he also has a lot of music outside out shinee that show how amzing he is

Ten is amazing at everything. Top notch dancer, sings really well, raps really well, speaks 4 languages, VISUALS!!! sassy, Savage, and cute at the same time and last but not least, he’s part of the crackhead community. 🤣 btw he LOVES cats and is often compared to one.
Lucas is notoriously famous for being confident in his looks. I don’t blame him. The boy is FINE!!!! NOT quiet at all. He’s one of the top crackheads in my list.

A few fun facts about Taemin, he was a little mushroom headed child, South Korea's little brother when he debuted with Shinee at 14. He also couldn't sing. His voice was still developing at the time so he didn't train his voice for fear of damaging it. People said he ought to stick to dance because he was "tone-deaf" He didn't sing much in Shinee's earliest tracks and his voice is weak in early performances. Since then he's worked incredibly hard on his voice and now is considered main and solo vocalist material.
He's a horror and adrenaline junkie and has gone sky diving and bungee jumping (dont know how he got SM to agree to let him do this...) The only thing he is deathly afraid of is insects.

He has "dual personalities", he's a chaotic walking meme off stage, and an arresting, seductive, and dominating on stage performer. It's like flipping a switch watching him go between them.
He's also an interesting person to watch grow since he seems to improve year after year. I feel as far as he's come, he's become an even stronger vocalist between last year and this year. He's also extended himself into song writing and choreography.

I really appreciate how much you're trying to get to know the rest of the members despite being a huge EXO-L. I've noticed that a lot of EXO and Shinee fans only care about certain members and that saddens me a lot because the rest deserve a chance too. But anyway, my EXO bias is Kai and my NCT bias is Taeyong. They both have similar personalities and the main dancers in their respective groups. I won't and can't choose between them so they just have to co-bias eachother in SuperM haha :)))
Like you, I only really know EXO. Firstly, hearing Minseok's voice during Mark's part threw me a little! I know a little about Mark because he is Minseok's favourite, practically his baby! I've never heard him though, so that was fun!
So, Ten is very flexible! That was a visual eyegasm! I don't know him but Ten has my attention, ever since I saw his unboxing. Such a beautiful, lyrical dancer. I want to see him and Kai do a dance duet, I think that would be graceful and beautiful.
Will I have a bias in this group? I don't know. I'm casually in this at the moment, I need to hear the music before I make any real decisions. I'm here for this. Can't wait for next week. Well, if Jongdae doesn't kill me first! Lol!

Ten isn't Chinese! The fans made up his ethnicity!!! His grandma's parents were from China so he has some Chinese blood but that's very common in some regions of Thailand actually. Ten is THAI!!
This is very interesting. You sound like a fan of Ten you may know the answer to my question or you may not. You say his grandmother's parents came China, so his grandmother was or is Chinese. Do you know if she married a Thai man or a Chinese man, and are both his parents Chinese? Because it could be a thing where a Chinese family moves to another country marries other Chinese living in that country, and their children take on the language, food, names, and traditions of that country. For example he may not be able to speak Mandarin well or at all. Please don't be one of those fans that are easily offend by a simple question. I think Ten is a interesting idol, and I would like to know more about his family background. Thank you.

@@I.O.2525zz Hi I know I'm 5 months late, but as a Ten stan, the facts are as follows: Kun (WayV leader) once said that Ten's paternal grandparents are chinese to explain Ten's very traditional taste when it comes to chinese food (I guess implying that his maternal grandparents are not?). Ten would always say "I know that chinese song because my grandmother is Chinese and she used to sing it to me". Apparently Ten described himself as 'Thai from Chinese descent' when he first auditioned for Teen Superstar in 2010, and since debuting in WayV has described himself as 'Thai from Chinese descent' a few times. Ten and his sister Tern have both used Teochew dialect (a local chinese dialect used in Thailand) words to refer to eachother and other family members. So yeah, Ten is of course thai through and through, but to deny his chinese blood when he makes no effort too on his own part, and seems proud of his paternal grandparents chinese ethnicity, seems silly.

This guide was very good to show their on stage skills & how talented & dedicated they are and I understand that it would've been a 1h guide to show their off-stage personalities too. But I hope you'll see that over time, cause when you said Lucas seems calm that just sounded so wrong lol ;)

So yeah Lucas can be very loud; is a giant puppy & meme; mixes all his languages into one sentence; flirt & does 'boyfriend' vlives.
Taeyong was shown as the intense & stoic leader by SM at first but at some point they gave up trying to hide that he's in the top 3 of the most natural aegyo of all 21 NCT kiddos (for me no 1 lol), he doesn't like doing aegyo (embarrased screaming & flailing) but he's IRL Bambi and radiates big baby energy.

Anitra, totally watch the whole Ten/WinWin video for that Lovely song. It's just.....WOW!!! I'm still trying to figure out if it's a fight or an argument between two people in love or like a light and dark/your internal fight. I can see it so many ways. It's amazing.

By the way, the song you said didn’t sound like his song on Lucas’s part is from an SM Station collab Lucas did with a western artist named Jonah Nilsson. Jonah Nilsson was the main vocalist on the track and Lucas rapped so you were hearing Jonah’s voice singing. Also he has a pretty r&b and Michael Jackson feel to his music so it did have a different vibe than usual.

edit: the thing you are amazed at with Ten is a collab between WinWin and Ten of WayV. They made the choreo and design all themselves and its called TEN X WINWIN Choreography : lovely you should check it out! I think this performance by them made me love the song. WayV has a thing called Rainbow v where the members pair off and create their own covers and choreos, its pretty awesome.

Ten is Thai with Chinese descent. His great grand parents from either his mother or father’s side came from China. He was born Thailand and identifies as Thai (Chinese-Thai)

Anitra! The "lovely" cover, it was the first time I seen Ten and Winwin dance like that and I CRIEDDDD. Especially when you find out they choreographed the wholeeee thing and Ten never did contemp before! Also, the meaning behind the dance is just 😭😭😭. Like yes girl and I was shook too when I seen it was by Billie, so it made me see her in a different light and now I can tolerate her songs.
The part about Taeyong's visuals was interesting to me, most kpop fans that have been fans for quite some time does agree that there are certain idols who has visuals that no one can deny. Taehyung is one of them, there is also Eunwoo from ASTRO, Irene from Red Velvet, Jihyo from Twice, Hyunjin of Stray Kids, Seunjun of KNK, Rowoon of SF9, Rose of Blackpink, Heejin of LOONA. I never thought of Taeyong but I totally agree now.

It was a little project WayV members did called Rainbow V it has 6 episodes uploaded on WayV TH-cam channel. The Members Ten and WinWin did that performance. They did everything on their own choosing the song, the choreography, the set, etc..

Don't know if it was mentioned but NCT has a TH-cam channel dedicated to Dance it's called NCT Dance where they put dance clips on like the one of Taeyoung and Ten... Marc has also a few amazing freestyle dance clips there ^^ it's worth to be checked out :) and Hit the Stage was a KShow thag shows the Main dancer skills ^^ Ten and Taemin participated there although Taemin was just once there... Ten has all Dance practices also posted on TH-cam ^^

the video is very impressive, THEY are impressive but it's unfair & a slight that Taeyong is...not...on it.
IF you are going to react to it, your video would be...better..if you also included a reaction to the FULL version of Taeyong's beautiful freestyle of Senorita at NCT DANCE. Remember THOSE dances were choerographed and rehearsed...freestyle is the dancer making up their...own choreo...as they dance it...and if you search it you will find how RESPECTED Taeyong is by fellow dancers who react to...study...his technique.

We're totally fine with you missing Jonghyun and wanting to give him proper respect, but I think we would rather instead of talking about him and about his passing when you see him, just appreciating him as a person and as an incredible musician and artist. You did nothing wrong, and I understand how his passing affected you, but I just wish he wouldn't be reduced to how he went. Mark & Taeyong have risen to become the premiere RAP DUO in Kpop. Their combined flow & authenticity has made them known names greatly appreciated by the hard to impress American RAP/HOP community (who also LOVE NCT) THAT avid thirsting for more audience is SM/Capitol's best shot at expanding Kpop the US market which is why SuperM is front loaded with FOUR accomplished NCT rappers and ALL those kick ass dancers and also WHY Mark & Taeyong are headed BACK to America after NCT 127's sold out tour this summer and not ONLY as capable artists in their OWN rights.
Cynically labeled NCT's "Golden Boys" One or both of them appear in almost all of NCT's signature pieces. So MUCH so that fans of the REST of NCT's talented members complain about how MUCH stage time (and lines) The Boys are given. That may be an accurate but not fair complaint for I'm not sure NCT fans realize just how MUCH of the hard choices & heavy lifting of MAKING those performances SO tight & strong & stunning falls on their slim shoulders.
There is a reason WHY Mark has debuted four times: (all NCT units but WayV, he's' not Chinese) and now SuperM. Mark IS the hardest working boy in Kpop and he has both the talent & temperament for it. Willing able & reliable, Mark shows up ready to work for EVERY performance and never fails to deliver. To succeed SuperM MUST have...a Mark.
There is ALSO a reason Taeyong's was the stunning FIRST FACE a thrilled audience saw in "I Can't Stand the Rain" at that capitol showcase. And why (after everything ELSE happened) his forceful fist came down to end the last strains of Jopping. SM has supreme proven confidence in Taeyong as The Opener...and...The Closer.
As for the in between, if you watch the Taeyong focus video, you see not only the beauty & precision of Taeyong's own dancing...he is ALL OVER weaving between Kpops BEST dancers and LITERALLY setting the stage by...being one.

AS the LEADER of the 18-21 bright young stars in NCT, Taeyong's non aggressive nurturing authority, tireless work ethic and striving for excellence demands to be risen to by anyone who presumes to share a stage with him. It's not accidental that FOUR of the seven members of SuperM have collaborated with Taeyong at NCT (through their concept group U) for Taeyong's influence upon NCT has helped make the franchise THE Kpop force to be reckoned with.
The Leader of SuperM can't BE Taeyong (rival fandoms would pitch fits) and he really doesn't NEED yet another job. Taimen didn't want the title (aka headache) so Baekhyun has taken it by default. Taeyong's expertise & Marks experience will be there to guide Baekyun as he steers SuperM through America. Taeyong is the ultimate "Who is THAT Guy?" Mark is the best english speaker and BOTH of them are the ONLY SuperM members who have been ON a sold out an American Tour. Not to mention that, a month ago, NCT 127 hrilled 80.000 World Citizens in Central Park with "Superhuman" & "Highway to Heaven" (in english!) and that EXPERIENCE is how (despite a member out sick, lighting issues, rougue mike cords & a jewelry malfunction) NCT 127 still excited appeared...flawless...and HELD their own on the same bill as Adam Lambert & Queen
Mark has hit his stride in SuperM. It's wonderful to see how MARK is the unexpected break out star in SuperM.
I can't be AS enthused for Taeyong...so far...and that hurts me for him. I am only INTO Kpop because I stumbled across...Taeyong...and he stunned me. Every place I've come he has led me to. he is my unbreakable bias, he never fails to thrill me. He's also unexpectedly & inexplicably...adorable...in Real Life (as is Kai I've noticed)
If I have ANY complaint with SuperM...so far...it's in the way that they have held BACK Taeyong for reasons I hope I am wrong about. Yeah he is...something to look at...but his PERFORMANCE skills & magnetism are also off the charts. He absolutely BELONGS in this assembly of SuperStars and not just because he's pretty & talented. So why HIDE him?
In his teaser he doesn't rap (his rap partner Mark raps in his) He doesn't even DANCE (his dance partner Ten dances in his) In the Dance Performance Video Ten & Taemin & Kai FLEX all they've got. Taeyong, certainly one of the MOST ELECTRIFYING dancers in Kpop is...left out. And NO performance videos for the SuperM rappers...follows it.
(Beakhyun is also slighted though I've yet to meet ANY Kpop fans who don't know what...Baekyun does) In the group trailer Taeyong's kneeling, literally nailed to the floor (yet he manages to thrill us with his...veins) And I was surprised to see him toned down and constantly cut aways from to NOT stand out in the Jopping video...how...they even managed that is beyond me. Hi.s PRESENCE is there, for sure, and as I said...he CLOSES jopping but it's in a way that makes people unaware that what just excited them was HIS work in the center
So superM debuts at Capitol with new audiences having NO idea what that blue haired...creature...is capable of.
And his hair is now a quiet (for taeyong) deep purple. Even so...he BLASTS onto that stage...in hollywood.

I'm so happy the video includes Taeyong's freestyle of Senorita though the piece is short enough to run it full. This cut omits the best moves in it so do watch the entire thing and remember as you watch it that...freestyle...is ABOUT making it up...as he goes along...and fellow professionals say Taeyong's talent for freestyle...as good as it gets.
