@@LesEXO2012 The best guides out there are certainly outdated now. It's just that they are incredibly time consuming to make (for little reward and a LOT of complaints) and also frustrating due to all the copyright strikes you can get if you are not very very careful with your clips.
I remember chatting with Cesar Oh and they mentioned how long it took to finish Lay's guide because not only does he do so much but also every clip used an example of his extensive career kept getting strikes from video owners...

This guide is really good for a brief introduction to the members but sadly due to time limitations couldn't do justice to some members like Lay and Xiumin. Lay is as musically skilled Chanyeol and he's such a workaholic. Xiumin can go through really high notes if he wants to, he's also the member who can fill every position in Exo (basically all rounder/ace) and he provides base to all those positions. Xiumin is also skilled at taekwondo, fencing, wushu, kendo, soccer and barista. He even has a PhD (I don't know in which field).

As a carat-L I'm so proud my mains they're so talented that's why I love this two group Exo and Seventeen.

Oh about Chen and his marriage, he did get a lot of backlash especially from Korean fans about his announcement of his marriage and child but a lot of Exols around the world supported him and wanted him to be happy with his family so it overweigh the backlash and made the few "fans" who protested in front of sm company for his removal from the group and he also enlisted right after so when he was discharged EXOLS were awaiting his return and happy he decided to stay :) Now he has two beautiful babies and he got married October last year and his wife was beautiful and exols all around celebrated his special occasion and even fans started posting their own wedding as another way of supporting him which was very heartwarming and a good step to changing the kpop fans' attitudes towards idols dating or being in relationships. He is my bias and I'm very happy for him!
You really need to watch film:kai videos, he got 2 for his first and 3rd albums. They're kinda his signature at this point. Also in 2022 kai won a prestigious award as best newcomer in entertainment for his role in a netflix variety show

Chen just had a solo concert tour in Japan just recently if you want to check that out. there are already clips around here in youtube. his Japanese album is quite different from his Korean releases. he recently also just released a new ost called The Way to Love Me. may i also suggest his solo songs: Beautiful Goodbye, Shall We, Last Scene & Light of My Life. sadly not mentioned on this guide is that Chen is a lyricist. he has written quite a few songs for EXO & his solo albums.

The EXO members worked hard through the years. Their schedules are hectic. They are very passionate with different fields not only as idols so they've been very busy. I think these recent years were only they started to get some rest.
Oh , yes , EXO worked hard from 2012 , as they were big from early on, plus every member has so much potential, they didn't want to box themselves so tried everything they have interest in.Most are good at acting, few are great at musical, few are good at modeling, they all did everything .EXO worked so hard that according to insiders , as group they are the richest.Groups like BTS just started to have brand deal and solos, where EXO members doing these for ages , so them being richer makes sense (btw, EXO is underpaid by their company, some members sued their company last year, so just imagine despite not getting actual salary they still are richest.

Kyungsoo's success in both the acting and K-pop industries is quite amusing. There have been moments during award shows where he was just about to sit after receiving his acting award when his group EXO won another award, prompting him to rush back to the stage😂
Kai often participates in creating choreography for both EXO and his solo projects. For example, for Icu he choreographed the choreo entirely himself, and for the Exo obsession dance he added some movements.

Guys Baekhyun is one of the most handsome faces in kpop. He is in top 5. He is very attractive and girls are crazy for him the most.
As Hardcore Beakhyun biased who has been in the Fandom for 6 years, I never heard anything like this, All the EXO members are extremely handsome, they are known as no visual hole group.So Baekhyun being handsome is definitely right. But actually in their peak time Sehun and Suho, especially Sehun is always considered the best looking in whole kpop.He had perfect visual( Cha Eun Woo is now considered that) reputation in korean k community. That being said, Baekhyun is always super famous along with Sehun and Chanyeol between members, it's not just because he is damn good looking but he has a different aura that no one can resist, on top of that he is literally good at everything, he is considered as genius, not girls but actually boys too are crazy about him beacuse he is just too cool and talented.

S4 is the reunion of them.

Unfortunately even when idols have relationships with non- celebrities they are faced with controversy. Even to this day there are lots of delulu so-called "fans" sending hate comments to Chen and demanding his expulsion from the group. I will never understand this kind of behavior. 😞
Chen got a lot of hate and backlash from Korean fans mostly. No one wanted him in the group anymore. Fans of other groups piled in on the hate cus they were worried their favs will do something like Chen too. There were campaigns, petitions and everything arranged by antis to pressurize the company to take actions. Some even continue till date to try and throw him out of the group especially when the group announces a comeback. But Chen stays strong through it all and still continue to work as a soloist and as an EXO member. I honestly admire his strength. He is not only fighting for himself but also for all other idols who wishes to have a private life without having to worry about retiring from their career which is what many fans want them to do if they dare be in a relationship.
Even us, exols, couldn't believe that 8 out of 9 members of exo are into acting
When Chen announced he was getting married and going to have a child there was a huge backlash too, and at one point SM was thinking of dropping him from EXO. The EXO members got together and banded behind Chen and refused to accept his leaving the group. I believe that Chen is the first idol in a major active group to get married and remain in the group. It is still very much frowned upon by the agencies and fans for idols to have relationships, which I think is part of the reason that have such a large percentage of them with mental problems and suicides before they turn 30. I really admire EXO for sticking with Chen.
Just for context, SM Station songs are singles that are released digitally and often and from all kinds of artists under the SM labels (and with no promotion like that of main releases) .
D.O. released his SM Station song That's Okay right as he enlisted as a gift and it is incredibly popular. It's been referred to a national healing song.
And when they say Kyungsoo has received many acting awards, it's important to note that the list includes a Blue Dragon Film award which is one of the most prestigious and popular award shows in the Korean film industry.
And each and every member of EXO had this kind of depth and dedication to their multiple areas of interest. This guide is a good thumbnail sketch but it truly only scratches the surface. Hope you continue to enjoy your EXO discoveries :D

Thank you for the reaction, spending the whole hour deep diving into EXO. This guide is quite helpful but not enough, first and foremost from the skills itself. Each member is a total package. There are also some info that are missing like "D.O has a professional chef license", "Chen is a father of two", etc. (We need updated fr). There's so many things that happened over the past years. Currently, Baekhyun, D.O and Lay has their own company label. EXO became Septuple Million Seller with EXIST Album last 2023. And now, EXO became the "Emperor of Kpop".
I hope you won't get tired deep diving into EXO, you won't lose content from them cos they got a lot to offer. Every single of them makes them unique and different from other k-groups, esp. from the concept itself. They are legendary.
EXO members brotherhood is very deep and strong. Despite everything that has happened to them over the years they never betrayed each other and were always each others biggest supporters. Throughout losing 3 members as such a young group and members individually going through different hardships like dating news and such exo always stuck together. Right now they are going through a legal battle with their company SM and EXO are trying their best to keep the group together. They truly love each other
the 2 youngest members are currently in the military. One left I think last May and the other one in December, so most likely it will be 2025 when they continue as a full group. Kai started his service right before they were able to promote the album last year. He was even left out of the Cream Soda music video because he already started his military service

Since you guys were impressed by D.O's acting achievements you should react to one of his k-dramas or movies. I especially like him on the dramas 100 Days my Prince and Bad Prosecutor, but if you want to be impressed watch his movie My Annoying Brother. I also was taken aback by his performance on Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds. Although he had a minor role it was so impactful that it made me cry.
Don't forget about Swing kids and The Moon movies. His acting in these 2 movies was amazing too.

When you get time, I would highly recommend their individual guides. Even though they’re outdated, it shows how much each member has to offer. Like Lay is super hard working, produces and writes his songs, plays instruments and even choreographs!
Also other members like Chen are prolific lyricists of their own and EXO songs too!
Kai did co-choreographed exo's and his own choreographies. He also exo's dance 'instructor' in a way. He inspect their rehearsals, back during trainee days he and Sehun were in charged of guiding other members who was a bit lacking in dance area(some of the members were new trainees when they finalised the lineup)
Live concerts are a must
Suho last year said that : Chanyeol was born to be an IDOlL he is multalented , Baekhyun is the genius he comes up with most great ideas

All Exo members will forever be "The Vocal Kings of Kpop" for me...if you ever get a chance to do some Exo b-sides, you will realize that they, their combined voices, show that they are Kings of combined harmonies that no other group can compare....with all of them being vocalists with each having their own unique tone....combined is stellar...and this has been a talking point since 2011, many were not trained in the very least in vocals, they were discovered, each, as singers in middle school, already singing and involved in music (Chanyeol being a musician throughout his elementary days, and Kai dancing since 9 years old in ballet, jazz, and contemporary dance)
Kai graduated from Korea's School of Performing Arts in dance, and all Exo members being singers who love to sing. IT SHOWS....
Kai was recognized as a pure dancer when Exo first started, and grew so great over the past 10 years as younger groups watched as youngsters, admiring Kai before starting their own groups.

Exo will forever be that one group that, due to their incredible talent and projects, business ventures and achievements, make Exo the most decorated and unique Kpop group to date...can you name another?
